"Revenge, at first, though, sweet, ere long, back on itself recoils." (John Milton)

All the wrongs delivered to your doorstep should take heed. Nothing burns at the heart more than the satisfaction of turning them into dust......at your very own hands. Nothing.

Steve Cavanagh introduces us to Amanda White who has worked her way from care giver to the actual manager of a care home. But just when her life is falling into place, tragedy strikes. Her husband, Luis, decides to take their six year old daughter, Jess, to the park one morning to give Amanda a break. When his back is turned, Jess is snatched up by a stranger. Her small body is later found. The distraught parents will never recover.

But Amanda knows the identity of this stranger even if the police have ruled him out for lack of evidence. She follows Wallace Crone continuously. Amanda has bad intentions for Crone. Crone files a report to the police and threatens to sue Amanda. But Amanda pays no attention. She's out to get Crone her way.

Later, we'll learn of Ruth who was attacked in her own home by a knife-wielding assailant. She almost succombed to her deadly injuries. Ruth suffers from intense paranoia following the attack. She convinces her husband, Scott, to live in a hotel. She remembers those bright blue eyes that haunt her. The suspect has never been found. How can she possibly live in peace now?

Back to Amanda. The police encourage her to seek group counseling and to leave Crone alone. It's here that Amanda meets Wendy whose teenage daughter was killed by her high school teacher. The police have no proof of this, but Wendy knows. Amanda and Wendy decide to take matters into their own hands. And now they concoct a plan to find justice for each other.

Pace is everything. Steve Cavanagh stomps on believability here and accelerates with high-powered adrenaline on every page. We see potholes in some areas of the plot, but we fly over them because the course of the storyline becomes riveting. We just want to know how these two women will pull this off without getting caught. Revenge is pounding in our own ears. So if you're prone to reads that jiggle the handle of crazy, Kill for Me, Kill for You is definitely it.

I received a copy of this book through NetGalley for an honest review. My thanks to Simon & Schuster and to Steve Cavanagh for the opportunity.

I love this author. His books are always fast-paced, thrilling and just plain fun to read. I finished this in less than a day and highly recommend for fans of serial killers and thrillers.

I sincerely appreciate the publisher and NetGalley for the review copy. All opinions expressed are my own.

Two women, having lost their child to vicious monsters, meet and arrange to kill each other's monsters. In another storyline, we watch a woman dealing with the trauma of almost being killed by a serial killer. Lots of twists in this very interesting story of the intersection of all their lives. And how they live with and beyond the traumas. 4.5

The font size made this extremely hard to read on Kindle -- need more spacing between the lines! I have good vision, but I asked a friend to take a look to make sure it wasn't just me. It's not.

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC of this book. This was such a good read. The premise of it has been done many times but the execution was fabulous. Kept me wanting more and couldn't put it down.

Amanda’s young daughter was murdered, and Amanda wants revenge. When she’s caught stalking the man who got away with her daughter’s murder, she’s forced into group therapy. It’s there that she meets a woman who tries to help her. The woman suggests a “Strangers on a Train” setup. She’ll kill for Amanda if Amanda kills for her too.

Meanwhile, Ruth is awoken one night by shattering glass in her apartment. When she goes to investigate, she’s brutally stabbed. Ruth’s trauma affects everything in her life, including her relationship with her husband, who will do anything to make sure Ruth recovers.

These storylines remain separate for most of Cavanagh’s new thriller, but once they intertwine, readers will be left marveling at the Cavanagh’s corrupt creativity. What at first presents itself as a predictable retelling, turns into a traumatic and twisted story of red herrings. The story is told from multiple perspectives including not just Amanda and Ruth, but also Ruth’s husband and a detective connected to both women’s cases.

This is a must read for mystery lovers.

This was very predictable and has been done many times over.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.

Two women meet at a bereavement group meeting and forge an unholy alliance - Kill For Me, Kill For You, as they seek revenge against the men who destroyed their lives. As they set their plan in motion, elsewhere a determined cop pursues a serial killer, whose latest victim survives the attack. The author deftly weaves these two storylines into a breathless, topsy-turvy thriller with more than a few “what just happened” moments. This one was a blast to read that completely blindsided me and firmly held my attention from page 1. One of the best I’ve read this year, 5 supernova’s. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Three women have something in common. They all want someone dead. Each woman has different reasons why they wish death to the men who have destroyed their life’s in one way or another, so a plan is made where they will kill each other’s intended targets. Will they each succeed or will the victims escape death? This is a very exciting take resembling the book “Strangers on the Train”.

Author Steve Cavanagh is a new writer to me , as I have not read his Flynn series. But this new stand-alone, "Kill for Me, Kill for You" just really sounded like it was in my wheelhouse & I really, really enjoyed it. I loved the contemporary twist on "Strangers on a Train" here which was such a brilliant novel, but this is even more twisty in nature & the ending blew me away! The two "killers", Amanda & Wendy and how they bond & decide to do the "deeds" are very well-written and I was often kept guessing, just wow!! Highly recommend this for all mystery/thriller fans!! My sincere thanks to the publisher & Net Galley for the complimentary DRC, my sincere pleasure to review this title.

Great book. Clever story and good writing combined to form a book that I couldn't put down! Def felt empathy for the women and overall just a good yarn.

3.5 rounded up. Solid thriller with good pacing. I think the killings getting quicker was a bit convenient at the end and frankly I didn’t need the Billy twist, but I enjoyed this enough to look past that. I would definitely read more from this author.

This was a fun book.

At first I thought it was kind of a copy cat of Strangers on a Train. Turns out it was more of an homage - and it takes an unexpected twist!

I enjoyed our characters and definitely loved how the author ramped up the tension.

I did know one of the big secrets way before the reveal, but I was happy to keep reading to see how it would all turn out.

Would definitely read the author again!

I found the whole premise ridiculous and think authors are coming up with stoy lines that are so out there, they are unbelievable.

In this one, we have a woman who carries a pacific serial killer need, that to eradicate men with blue eyes, who might have been her attacker years ago. Her way of doing so is unique, but once again I found myself wondering if there were that many people willing to kill those that harmed them in such vicious manners.

Definitely a not for me book although I know others really liked it.

WOW! This book was seriously SO good. I read over half in 1 day, I was hooked. This was such a twisty turny book not knowing who was really who - with a major twist at the end. I will be thinking about this book for a while and can’t wait for it to be released!!

An unputdownable thriller that brings a clever spin to a classic trope! I had my reservations at first because the whole swapping murders premise isn't new, but Steve Cavanagh killed it. I was kept guessing the whole time but nothing could have prepared me for brilliant after brilliant twist.

Not only is this an engrossing page-turner that examines how far we are willing to go when pushed to the brink, it also explores grief and loss so effectively that the characters' pain is palpable. I loved the nods to Patricia Highsmith and Hitchcock.

My only gripe is how unrealistic and hard to believe some parts are e.g. I can pretend the characters are so blinded by grief and rage that they become incredibly naive, but that's not how SEO works...?

Nevertheless, I enjoyed every moment and this is a twisted read not to be missed!

This is another Steve Cavanagh thriller with lots of twists and turns that does not disappoint. Amanda's story and Ruth's story are both compelling. Even the detective, Farrow, is interesting.. I don't want to give away any of the plot because a reader needs to go into the author's books with little information about the plot. Then the story takes off with many surprises along the way. I first read Thirteen and got hooked on Steve Cavanagh's other books. I hope he becomes more well known because his writing deserves a wider audience.

Amanda and Wendy meet for drinks one night and put a plan in place to kill the men that destroyed their lives. The other main character Ruth, was part of a brutal assault in her own home. The chapters are told in POV's and each chapter ends with a cliff hanger, you want to keep reading. Several twists with a big one at the end! My 1st book by this author and it is a pretty good one! Clever, Tension Filled Ride, and Full of Surprises! 3.5 stars!

Thanks to NetGalley for the advanced copy. This book is set to release in March, 2024.

This was book was so good that I couldn’t put it down! A murderer is on the loose, and Amanda White is convinced she knows who killed her little girl. While at a grief support group, she befriends a woman who says she can help her with getting rid of this man to get revenge. The twists in this book were crazy, and I wasn’t expecting a lot of them. I finished this book in 2 days because I had to keep reading to find out what would happen next!
