I really enjoyed this book. Multiple story lines that seamlessly come together throughout the book. There are a lot of twists and turns but it ends up making you feel at peace in the end. A great story of a grieving mother and wife finally finding justice.

Thanks to NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book in return for an honest review. While a notch below the quality of Cavanagh’s excellent Eddie Flynn series, his latest stand-alone is still an entertaining ride. Two women reeling from tragedy meet, and decide to pull a “Strangers on the Train” to get justice for their loved ones. Meanwhile, in a seemingly unrelated storyline, a woman is attacked in her home and struggling to recover physically and emotionally from the brutal experience. As expected, everything is not what it seems, and there are some surprising twists in the later sections of the book that I didn’t see coming. Overall, a very solid and enjoyable read. Three and a half stars, rounded up to four.

Heart pounding thriller that left me on the edge of my seat. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. Definitely one of the best books this year.

Another amazing book by Steve Cavanagh. I finished this in 2 days, just wanting to know more and more. I loved the setting of the book, in NYC, as I’ve lived there and live close by now. The back and forth narrative is great, I always love hearing from different characters. This was a great mystery and had me stumped till almost the end. (I didn’t a lot coming though, and I almost always figure out the main plot by halfway through a book) There were a lot of twists and turns and aha moments that are just plain clever. I can’t sy a lot without ruining the plot, but trust me, you’ll want to red this one.

The "Strangers on a Train" trope has been explored in so many thrillers that at first I was hesitant to pick this one up, but I'm SO glad that I did. This book took that familiar trope and reimagined it in such a sharp and unique way.
The characterization was exquisite. The first storyline that we follow is that of Amanda, who has suffered an unimaginable tragedy. She encounters Wendy in a group meeting and is initially put off by Wendy's coldness, but when the two women run into each other later outside of the group meeting, they begin to talk, and they realize their rage over their loss is something they share.
There is a third storyline, Ruth's story, that recounts her harrowing ordeal as a victim of a brutal home invasion. How the diverging storylines come together was nothing short of brilliant, and I read this book in record time.
Besides being an action-packed thriller, this book delved deeply into the morally gray area that I love to explore. Is vigilante justice ever the correct justice? Would the guilt of taking someone's life, even if warranted, be something you could live with?
Many thanks to NetGalley and Atria Books for this stunning early copy. This book will publish March 19, 2024.

Thank you to NetGalley for this copy of “Kill for Me, Kill for You” by Steve Cavanagh.
Amanda and Wendy meet at a support group and find out they have one thing in common – to get revenge on the man who wronged each of their families. Their plan – you kill for me, and I’ll kill for you.
Meanwhile, Ruth has been viciously attacked in her home by “Mr. Blue Eyes”. Her husband, Scott, feels guilty he wasn’t there to protect Ruth.
What do these women have in common?
Since I loved the Eddie Flynn series, I knew I would like this book by Steve Cavanagh. It did not disappoint – I read it in two days and could not put it down until I finished.
Another one out of the park for Steve Cavanagh – I totally recommend it!

I love Cavanagh's books so was delighted to get this one! And of course it did not disappoint as I can never tell where his novels are going! This one involves Amanda and Ruth, two "broken" women for very different reasons but both determined to rectify situations over which they feel they have no control. There is murder, suicide, support groups, therapy, mob guys, crooked cops, and mistaken identity: what's not to enjoy? It's a superbly, convoluted story that kept me on the edge of my seat until the end! Awesome as usual!
Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC!

4 stars, at least! The beginning of the ending got a little wonky, which is my only hesitation. Who doesn’t love a new take on the Strangers on a Train trope? This was so well done. The pacing was incredible and I couldn’t look away! Highly recommend

This book was so fun to read. The story was all consuming and I was dying to know what was going to happen. I read one of the authors books about Eddie Flynn and really enjoyed that one too. Such compelling writing.

*CRACK* That is the sound of Steven Cavanagh knocking it out of the ballpark.
Ruth is viciously attacked in her home aby a man with intense blue eyes. She is left traumatized and frightened. Will she ever feel safe again, knowing her attacker is still out there?
Amanda is suffering after the loss of her daughter and husband. She meets Wendy at a support group, and after having drinks they conclude that they have a lot in common. Inspired by Hitchcock’s Strangers on a Train, Wendy suggests " if you kill for me, I’ll kill for you. "
Wowza!!! I had a lot of fun with this book. It was instantly gripping, intense, and hard to put down! I loved the premise and was awed by how well thought out this book down. Cavanagh had me on the edge of my seat, gripping my kindle and swiping those pages wanting to know what shoe would drop next.
Talk about jaw dropping! I did not see one of the reveals coming. I was blind sighted and loved it! That is how you do it!
Well written, well thought out, jaw dropping and heart pounding! I can't wait to read what Steve Cavanagh writes next.

Holy wow was this a good book! I’ve read some of the author’s legal thrillers and thought they were fantastic. In this one, he tackles a more conventional thriller style, and he somehow brought even more to the table.
I usually figure out almost all of a thriller’s twists before they happen. I’m happy to say that I did not figure out the twists in this one. In fact, one shocked me so much that my mouth fell open.
Highly recommended! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an ARC. This review contains my honest, unbiased opinion.

Taking a break from his outstanding legal thrillers, the author shows another facet of writing skills as he offers his take on a Hitchcock thriller. With two grieving women making a deal to avenge one another’s loss, the plot gets more and more twisted until we reach a climax no one can honestly say he predicted. Amazing work!

If you kill for me, i'll kill for you. What an offer, two strangers, two different worlds collide to make this a page turner. I loved the multiple viewpoints, I LOVED Gone Girl, and this gave me all the vibes.

Thanks to NetGalley and Atria Books for an early review copy in exchange for an honest review.
4 stars
Two women suffering from loss come up with a revenge plan based off Strangers on a Train--they will kill the men who caused the death of family members.
Well done thriller with lots of twists. I did miss the humor in the Eddie Flynn series.

Cavanagh is consistently entertaining and this latest is a belter. A recommended purchase for collections where crime and thrillers are popular.

Wonderfully twisted, well-written and gripping to no end. Fans of the genre will love this. I'll make sure to recommend this when it hits the shelves.

I'm sad to say that this is my first Steve Cavanagh book. He is such an experienced, articulate writer which was clearly displayed here and I wish I saw more of his books recommended. The good thing is, I have a lot of catching up to do.
This one had a lot of different narratives going on but was woven together so brilliantly, leaving me beyond impressed. While I have read a few plots that involve swapping murder for murder, this was one of the better takes on it that also had plenty of its own originality. This had devastating loss, revenge, friendship, and a lot of cat and mouse, giving the reader everything they could ask for in a book. I don't think there was one dull moment in this and the twists it held were genius, leaving the reader shocked and in awe of the brilliance of it. I highly recommend this one. Four and half Stars.
Thank you Netgalley and Atria Books for this ARC.

Thanks @atriabooks and @netgalley for read number 119 of 2023. My ARC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Wow!! This book was everything I could have asked for and more. I have read many other @sscav books, but this one might be my favourite. It was like reading an action movie, and I never quite knew what was going to happen next. That ending completely surprised me. It was wonderful how all of the different stories came together. Be prepared: you will not be able to put this book down. A ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read in my books. Make sure to check it out when it hits shelves in March 2024! ❤️❤️

Wow what a ride! I couldn’t put this one down- literally read it in a day. The story was so engaging and there were some very good twists. I would recommend to anyone looking.for a good thriller!

When Amanda's life is turned completely upside down by a murder, she in unable to cope. The only person who seems to understand how she feels is Wendy, a person from her grief group. Wendy's life is also in shambles due to a murderer and she easily convinces Amanda that they could copy the Stranger on a Train plan and take care of each other's problems.
In alternating chapters we meet Ruth, who is home alone when she is attacked by serial killer. She is lucky to live to tell the tale, but at what emotional cost?
All of these characters come together in the most unique way. You will race through this thrilling book to learn the connections and discover what is really happening! Cavanagh has created a stunning plot and characters to root for - check out Kill for Me, Kill for you! #Atria #atriabooks #netgalley #Killfomekillforyou #SteveCavanagh
