This is the second book in the series set in the stunning coast of Cornwall. Which the author has captured beautifully making me feel right there in the story. I mean who doesn’t love Cornwall?!

In this story we meet Gemma who runs her late mother’s cafe. When an opportunity comes along for her to extent it. Knowing she will make her proud she jumps at the chance.

This book is a winner for me telling a story about friendship and romance. With characters that you will fall in love with. It is a perfect summers read that will have you smiling from start to finish.

I absolutely love the authors style of writing. It is heartwarming and realistic the characters are relatable making the story magical. It is a stunning story and a joy to read.

I literally can’t wait for the next book to come out…..without a shadow of a doubt this is a 5 star read.

Thank you to Rachel for a copy and for inviting me to take part on the tour.

Back visiting the Cornish Cove. Cornish Cove #2

I challenge you to find anyone who has read this book that doesn't want to live or at least visit Driftwood Bay.
A beautifully written book full of hope and happiness. Full of thought provoking moments or comments. A book that really left me feeling good, Feeling hope.
Just beautifully done. A superb escapism read. This book has taken me away from my realities and let me live a weekend in a happy place.

Realistic and interesting characters. A storyline that flows and takes you along with it. A book to help make you smile. A true feel good read.

I'm loving how this series features different characters at the heart of each story. In this book we follow Gemma's journey. Gemma is about to upgrade her amazing café. Set in beautiful Driftwood bay this is a hub for locals and visitors.

I've been blessed to have read the 3 books in this series back to back.
I did a re read of the first book before diving into this one.

An excellent read telling the story of Gemma who has moved back to her home town of Driftwood Bay after the awful breakup of her marriage. She runs the cafe that her late mother ran and gets a chance to extend it. Her sister Lucy is her best friend. She meets a lovely man called Jude and we see the highs and lows of their friendship.

In this delightful sequel to the first book in the series, Gemma, who runs a seafront café, takes center stage. With support from her sister Lucy and friends Meredith and Clem, Gemma embarks on expanding her café, all while grappling with memories of happier times with her mother. The story is rich with well-developed characters and heartwarming relationships, including a lovely romance and the endearing bond between Gemma and a troubled teenager named Occy. Gemma's relatable struggles and the perfect balance of heartbreak and warmth make for an emotionally engaging read. With twists, surprises, and plenty of laughter, this book is beautifully written and leaves readers eagerly anticipating more adventures in Driftwood Bay.

Didn't realise that this was part of a series but it can be read as a standalone. Where needed the previous book is recapped so you have an idea of what happened. This was a cute romance story. I liked the characters and it was an easy read.

This book is like a warm embrace! The second instalment in the Cornish Love Series offers a beautiful setting and delightful characters. Gemma, the protagonist, makes a life-altering business decision, while her sister and husband share transformative news. The village welcomes a new Fire Safety officer and his daughter, adding to the excitement in Gemma's life. Amidst it all, friends and family rally around her for support. The story unfolds brilliantly, and anticipation builds for the next chapter in this engaging series.

This is a first for me by the author and one I enjoyed and I would read more of their work. The book cover is eye-catching and appealing and would spark my interest if in a bookshop. Thank you to the author, publisher and Netgalley for this ARC.

This is a gorgeous book, which is the 2nd book in the Driftwood Bay series, of which the 1st book was fantastic too! In this story, we are with Gemma, who is feeling sad from losing her Mum and from her broken marriage. She is busy running the local cafe, and one day she hires a girl called Occy, who she becomes friends with. She also meets her Dad Jude, and they become close friends and maybe a bit more! The three of them help to heal each others hearts, and before long, they cannot be without each other. Of course, there is a bit of drama, and some emotional moments, but this is a lovely, heartwarming story which made me smile. Highly recommended!

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.

I adore Kim Nash. A Kim Nash book is always comforting, a rollercoaster and filled with so much love.

I was so happy to return to the Bay. I loved this setting in the previous book, I loved it even more in this book. Nash just makes it so familiar and as if it’s home.

This is just a gorgeous book to read from beginning to end. Once I started this book, I quickly became unwilling to put this down. This resulted in me devouring this book in just one sitting.

Nash writes beautifully and I love the friendships and strength that fill the pages of this one. Gemma has been a great character, she’s felt real and relatable. I was definitely rooting for her and Mr Fireman.

This has been the perfect read. I love how a Kim Nash read is like a big comfort hug. There is just nothing to dislike about this one.

I really do love returning to Driftwood Bay, it’s gorgeous Cornish setting is somewhere I’m always ready to dive into (Cornwall along with Scotland are my favourite places as well as favourite book settings) I can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t want to live in driftwood bay, golden beaches, cute cafe, little cottage by the sea, where can I sign up (without needing to win the lottery)

I love Kim Nash’s ability to draw me not the community within a few pages, such a relaxing and happy read, even with the tension and drama you always know you’re in safe hands with Kim. The characters are wonderful, we see some old faces but plenty of new ones too (this can be read as a stand-alone so don’t worry about being lost) and the story is engaging and so very heartfelt, such a lovely read.

This is a wonderful and uplifting book involving found family (obviously) , friendship, community, fresh beginnings and of course , love. If you are looking for something to warm those chilly nights that are coming, this is for you.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

A gorgeous and heart warming story. Lovely to be back with characters from the first in the series but it’s written so you can read as a stand-alone. Following your heart can be risky in all aspects of life - careers, romance etc but sometimes you have to do what you need to do.
Wonderful characters that come together as a community. I loved how that comes through the story. I enjoyed reading from start to finish and see how old wounds heal and new beginnings can start for anyone.
Highly recommended.

Finding Family at the Cornish Cove is the second in the wonderful series set in the wonderful sounding Driftwood Bay and we are reunited with some of the characters from Hopeful Hearts at the Cornish Cove along with some newcomers. We follow the story of Gemma who runs the local cafe and is the sister of Lucy who owns the local B&B with husband James. She is looking at expanding the cafe which was previously run by her mother and is wanting to keep the happy memories she had with her mother before she died, she is also a little bit apprehensive of changing things too much. The cafe is a big part of the community which is always a lovely constant theme in Kim Nash books and one that makes you immediately want to up sticks and move to Driftwood Bay!

With all the changes going on in her business life, we learn that Gemma has gone through a marriage split and despite being happy on her own, she does yearn for something more. Something that isn't cafe related. Enter Jude - a new habitant of Driftwood Bay, along with his daughter Occy, he is a fireman who becomes involved with the safety of the expansion and is also content on trying to build a better relationship with his teenage daughter who is at the time in her life where her dad is the bad guy and can't do anything right! He has raised Occy on his own since she was a toddler and she has been the number one focus in his life.

The fledgling relationship between them all is wonderful, Gemma takes Occy under her wings and starts to think that maybe there is something missing from her life. Obviously things don't run smoothly with characters from their past returning and we learn that things aren't going to be quite as straightforward as we originally thought which just added to the wonderful storyline. Community and family are always at the forefront of the authors books and you can't help but be swept along as you desperately want all the characters to find their own happy ending.

A wonderful cosy story that I loved. I can't wait for more!

BLOG TOUR REVIEW

Review for 'Finding Family At The Cornish Cove' by Kim Nash.

Read and reviewed for Kim Nash, Boldwood Books, Book And Tomic and Rachel's Random Resources Tours.

Publication date 3rd October 2023.

HAPPY PUBLICATION DAY KIM!

This is the second book I have read by this author. It is also the second book in the 'Cornish Cove' series but can be read as a standalone. I have also read Hopeful Hearts At The Cornish Cove which is the first book in this gorgeous series and I would highly recommend reading it.

This novel consists of 41 chapters and an epilogue. The chapters are short to medium in length so easy to read 'just one more chapter' before bed...OK, I know yeah right, but still just in case!

'Finding Family At The Cornish Cove' discusses some topics that may upset some readers or may not be suitable for others. I like to point this out ahead of time in my reviews so you can judge if this book is for you or not. In this book Kim discusses infertility.

What an absolute stunner from the extremely talented Kim!! Well done Kim on an absolutely beautiful and perfect read!! This is the ideal beach read where you could sit there and turn around and just imagine the town coming to life around you.

This book is extremely well written with beautiful descriptions that completely drew me in. The synopsis and the cover match the storyline perfectly!!

I was absolutely landed to get stuck into this book after falling in love with Driftwood Bay in the first book in this beautiful series. I just knew this one was going to be just as stunning and I was not let down!!! The storyline itself completely swept me away. I absolutely adored the storyline and getting to know the lives of so many different people, seeing their relationships and friendships change and see how they react to secrets, heartache, changes, romance and everything else that goes on in this absolutely fantastic read!! I've not long got home from Cornwall and missed it before I read this book but OMG Kim has made me want to jump in the car and go straight back now!!! Kim's evocative writing skills ensures the readers are absolutely sucked into the stunning storyline with the atmosphere and characters coming to life all around them.. I absolutely fell in love venturing back into Cornwall and Kim portrays life in a small town absolutely perfectly I became so invested in this book that it actually felt like going on a holiday and I absolutely dreaded coming to the end where I had to unpack my suitcase and get back to reality. It was an absolutely compelling and addictive heart lifting read that kept me turning the pages until late at night. I loved discovering the pasts and histories of the characters and the town and I was absolutely swept away in the story line. The town came to life around me and I cannot wait to return in the next book in this absolutely stunning series. This book really was an emotional rollercoaster ride that left me cheering on for Gemma, Jude and Occy, wanting to throttle Lucas, laughing out loud at many of the things the characters came out with and I ended up spitting out my tea on so many occasions I gave up attempting to drink while reading it at all!!! I have had an absolute week from hell and this book is exactly what the doctor ordered and it's made me feel so much happier and lighter so thank you so much Kim!!! This book is escapism at its best and is a perfect way to disappear into an amazing world for a while. It is one of those books that I just could not put down and drive everyone mad by walking around reading it every chance I got and ended up devouring it in one sitting!! This book would make an absolutely gorgeous movie which I would absolutely love to see!!

An absolutely gorgeous, page turning and addictive addition to a stunning series!! Don't even peek into this book until you've cleared your schedules as you won't be able to put it down!!

Although this is the second book in the series I had would have had absolutely no problems reading it without the others. Any details or events that have previously happened are mentioned in just the right amount of detail to let a new reader know what has happened and yet not too much to bore a previous reader.

I was completely invested in the characters, along with the storyline, who were all, well almost all, absolutely fantastic with their own individual personalities and quirks. Every one of the characters had a part to play and they were all completely unforgettable. I absolutely loved meeting some of the characters from the first book in this series Hopeful Hearts At The Cornish Cove along with some amazing new characters!!!
The characters I had previously met had already become like friends to me and it was lovely to add some more!!! I felt like I was leaving amazing people and friends and feel quite sad about that but am happy in the knowledge that this book is just the second book in this stunning series and I just can't wait to get stuck into more of these gorgeous books. I loved watching how so many characters and personalities from Driftwood develop and go from strength to strength from the first page to the last. I loved watching relationships change and develop and seeing how close knit many of them are. My heart completely went out to Gemma who had been left broken hearted by her scummy ex after he cheated on her after she discovered she couldn't have children. This is heartbreaking for any woman but Kim has managed to include this topic in this book sensitivity while highlighting the difficulties someone who can't have children may feel. I absolutely adored seeing her to from strength to strength and found her to be such an amazing, strong and independent woman who I rooted for throughout. I'd previously met both Gemma and Lucy in the first book but it was amazing to discover more about them in this book. I also fell in love with Jude who was struggling with his teenage daughter Occy who was also struggling with her own problems. There are so many wonderful characters that I could go on and on but this review is long enough!!! I'll quickly mention some of the characters who also made an impact on me. These included Gemma's amazing sister Lucy (an absolutely amazing and supportive sibling friendship!!), Meredith (who I loved meeting again and was an amazing friend to Gemma), Lydia (Meredith's mum who I also loved meeting again) and Clem (another fantastic character I met again) and Violet (another amazing character I loved meeting again). They all made me laugh, swoon, angry, cry, joyous and much more!!! Regardless of whether you love them or hate them all of these characters work perfectly together to make this a stunning page turner and I cannot wait to return to Driftwood to meet them again!!

Congratulations Kim on yet absolutely gorgeous success!!! I'm definitely looking forward to my next holiday to Cornwall and cannot wait for the next book in this series!!! This is the exact reason you are in my favourite author club and here is to your next success 🥂 !!!

Make sure you read to the very end of the book to read the first chapter of Kim's 'Hopeful Hearts At The Cornish Cove' which is the first book in this series and one I have already read and if you enjoyed this book then I can guarantee you will love that one too. I would highly recommend reading it!!!

Overall this is a perfect, stunning, page turning beach or fireplace read with an amazing gang of characters that will sweep you away to the gorgeous town of Driftwood from the very first page to the end!

A true feel good read. I loved the relationship between Gemma and Lucy and thought the memories they shared about their mum were wonderful.
The cafe and its location sounded lovely - a real focal point for the whole community. This is certainly a tale of making your family work whatever it’s makeup.

It's always an absolute thrill and privilege to be invited to participate in a Kim Nash blog tour. Her books never, ever disappoint - I'd go so far as to say that I'd love to actually live in a Kim Nash book! And Finding Family at the Cornish Cove is no different.

This is the second in Kim Nash's Cornish Cove series, set in gorgeous Driftwood Bay.

Gemma knows that the time has come to expand her late mother's café, and tentatively starts making plans to get things under way. She's had a tough time and while she always goes out of her way to be a good friend to everyone around her, she often forgets to take good care of herself, believing that she can just keep going, regardless. Thankfully, the wonderful people in her life are there to show her that just as she always looks out for them, they're always on hand to step in and do the same for her.

Kim Nash creates characters who are the type of people you want to sit and have a coffee with ... you want to pour your heart out to them, and you want them to become your closest friends. Gemma's café is the very hub of her community. It's where the buzz is. But really, it's Gemma whose warmth and authenticity have created the magnetism that draws people into her space, making it somewhere that everyone wants to be.

When Occy and her father Jude arrive on the scene, interesting new dynamics are introduced into Gemma's life. She slowly starts to see that the solitary future she'd imagined for herself might not actually be what's in store, and that she could possibly be able to - tentatively - let someone into her heart again.

This is a story about many things: family, relationships, people, empathy, moving on, inner strength and healing. It's about realising that you don't have to do the difficult stuff on your own, and about choosing who you surround yourself with, and knowing you'll always have your back. It's about being able to fail sometimes because there are strong people supporting you who will help you to pick up the pieces.

I didn't like Jude at first. I found him prickly and stand-offish. But I quickly changed my opinion, and by the middle of the book, I adored the guy! Gemma is lovely and I probably liked her even more because of her flaws. But there's absolutely no doubt that the absolute star of this book for me, is young Occy! I can't wait to see what's next for her and hope she'll be featured in future books.

My only problem with Kim Nash's books is that I read them too quickly! But while I'm reading them, I feel like I'm being wrapped in a comforting blanket of calm serenity, and being held securely in the embrace of good company, soothing, warm beverages and yummy baked goods! Could anything be better than that?

I was so excited to be returning to Cornish Cove to find out what was going on in this lovely seaside community. I find Kim Nash’s books are so uplifting with characters that I can readily identify with and who I enjoy spending time with too.
Gemma has a lot going in her life, an expansion to her business ( that has it’s own emotional connection with her family) changes in her family and some new people arriving too, there’s much to keep her busy both in body and mind.
It was fantastic to see Gemma embracing these changes and for finding the strength to overcome emotional obstacles that are sent to try her.
Definitely a perfect follow on book, and it was great to catch up with the characters from the first book in this splendid series ( although it could easily be read as a standalone)
Hoping for another book in the future from this beautiful setting. Who doesn’t love a trip to the seaside?

Family is front and centre of this delightful romcom by Kim Nash. You get to see families of all shapes and sizes and there are plenty of unfinished issues to work through before Gemma can admit who she regards as her family. Parenting teenagers sits side by side with childlessness and new pregnancies. Absent parents also make an appearance with the effect of this being shown on the children from years back.

I enjoyed Gemma's optimism, although I did lose patience with some of her reactions to unfolding events. Above all, she emerges as a nurturer who leaves people better off for knowing her. With such a delightful setting and community, this is an enjoyable read with plenty of romance to go along with the storyline and an interesting character in Jude and the hilarious Occy.

In short: Friends and family
