This is a super fun read! Is it revolutionary? No BUT is it an easy read that is going to make you smile? Absolutely! This is a short book, coming in at 260 pages which makes it easy to add if you are falling behind on your tbr.

That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon is a fun and creative romance between a demon and a spice trader. When Cin has to go on an adventure with Fallon, a demon, she's rightfully upset. All she wanted was to live a quiet and peaceful life, and suddenly, she was being dragged into fighting orcs. With the proximity, Fallon and Cin start to fall for each other, and Cin's expectations for her life completely change. It was a fun read.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for providing me with this ARC in exchange for an honest review. I have seen so many people talk about this book on social media for months, so I decided to read it. Let's start with the positives, I get why people enjoyed this story, it was spicy, fun, and a quick read. This book falls into the cozy fantasy genre, with spice. Unfortunately, the writing drove me up a wall. I don't enjoy modern slang in fantasy writing, it takes me out of the story. Even though this book wasn't for me, there is an audience who adores it. I can see patrons who are fans of romantasy enjoying this title, and recommending it to their friends.

I understand why this series is popular and will definitely recommend it to patrons. I find the tone to be too silly for my personal reading tastes.

A cute witty fantasy rom com, full of banter and fantasy creatures with spice. She ends up going on a quest with a demon to destroy the chapels of their goddess when take found out that their goddess is a false god and that she banned demons into another realm. In the way they quickly fell for each other.

Okay first off, those redesigned covers? Absolutely stunning! I know the stakes were high but this still read as a cozy fantasy WITH spice and I’m honestly here for it. Watching Fallon take care of Cin on their quest was 10/10.
All that said, this was still a bit too cheesy - both the writing and plot. I’m a mood reader though, so it’s possible I just read this at the wrong time. Would still recommend if you love stories ft. sexy demons, adventure and cheese though. 😉
Thanks to Orbit and Netgalley for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.

This book had me laughing so hard i can't tell you how many times I accidentally spit out my drink or how much my stomach ached from all the laughter. It was also thigh clenching spicy. After reading this this books, I quickly devoured the rest of the authors novels! The writting was great and the characters were enjoyable.

I was able to read an ebook arc of this thanks to NetGalley. A fun romantasy. Great read. Would read more by this author.

That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon by Kimberly Lemming is an absolute blast! This book is a wild ride from start to finish, blending humor, fantasy, and romance in the most entertaining way. Lemming’s writing is witty and engaging, making the characters and their antics come alive. It almost feels like you’re FaceTiming the main character. The protagonist is hilarious and relatable, and her chemistry with the demon is both heartwarming and spicy. The plot is filled with laugh-out-loud moments, unexpected twists, and plenty of magical mayhem. Can’t wait to read more books from this author!

This book cracked me up and pulled me out of a reading slump! The banter between the characters was the best and it was tehe perfect blend of spice and sweet and funny! It was such a refreshing read!

This book was an absolute romp! I had the best time reading it. Cinnamon and Fallon were absolutely hilarious and completely horny and I adored them. I think that Kimberly Lemming is a brilliant author. She balances humor and social critique in this beautiful blend of monster romances. I’m so excited to keep reading this series.

This book was not for me. I can understand why people like it, but I just thought it was too millennial coded and the plot didn’t make sense at all. Plus, I didn’t think there was any chemistry between main characters.

This was cute and charming but overall wasn’t for me! The plot moved at a fast pace, asking me question how we got from one point to the next, and then I felt like the romance was a little too insta love for the MMC

This book was a funny story with a cute romance. Very interesting to set a story in a fantasy world but with modern terms/elements. However, the story was cringy at times but this is to be expected with a title like that and it wasn’t too bad.

This book had me cracking up! The writing was engaging and kept me hooked. It was the perfect rom-com fantasy. Highly recommend!

This was a very cute book I enjoyed this a break in between reading such dark books I actually went a got a copy for my shelf I’m excited for book 2

That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon is a cute cozy, but spicy fantasy adventure.
Cinnamon is a FABULOUS main character, who thrives in this genre.
Fallon the demon boyfriend is the king of touch her and die energy.Who any time the plot gets too serious, or too not cute and cozy murders their way around it. (And this does happen a lot so be prepared for lots of murder swept to the side)
It's a cute demon romance adventure book, and as long as you don't go in expecting anything else from it, you will have a great time.

This is like a romcom version of a LitRPG. The characters were cute and the world-building was pretty superficial for a fantasy, but I expect this series is designed more to appeal to romcom fans than LitRPG. It's perfect for the burgeoning spicy paranormal fan base.

I realized this book may have not been for me. I finished it, but it was not a book I found appealing because the amount of sexual content it had.

I have never read such an unserious, over the top book in my life and I loved it. Lemming's characters just come to life and I devoured this book and have immediately started the second one. The premise is equal parts D&D adventure and so ridiculous that you can't help but laugh while you're wondering what you're actually reading.
Fallon is sweet but stoic, and I love that the characters in this world are strong without being toxic. Even when Fallon is ripping a man's arm off, he's not being a prick he's protective and doesn't understand humans. Upon being told that's not how we fix disputes, he never does it again. Fallon and Cinnamon love each other with a way that allows them to lift each other up and it's such a fun ride.
I did sort of roll my eyes at the overuse of silly names because they just felt a little overdone like Brie's family all being named after Cheese and Cinnamon's family all being spices. It's cute, but when every MC family does it and the other villagers are named things like Glen, Katie, and Priscilla, it feels out of place.
Overall, this is an adorable story and I can't wait to read the 2nd and 3rd installments!
