a fun read to pass the time while commuting on the train. there were some things i didn’t like that we’re just my personal preferences, such as use of modern slang and the instalove trope, and others i wish were worked on more, such as the plot holes and the telling rather than showing. this later point i am a bit disappointed that this wasn’t worked on more since i couldn’t really *feel* for fallon and cinnamon’s romance, and their romance is basically one of the main plots of the story
however, i do see why people like this and there were some moments where the comedy actually made me laugh.

I was really excited about the first half of this book, but everything started to feel rushed after Cinnamon and Fallon left the second town on their quest. The spicy scenes were exciting, though the modern language took me out of this after a while.

This was SUCH a fun read! Kimberly Lemming has a really conversational writing style, and I fell in love with the characters from the very first pages. This was light fantasy, easy to follow, medium spice. It would be perfect if you're in a reading slump!

a rom com meets fantasy in a short & sweet novel!
THAT TIME I GOT DRUNK AND SAVED A DEMON has it all: found family, romance, action& adventure with lots of funny moments. It is such a creative plot and I had a lot of fun with this one. I read it in one sitting!
loved Cinnamon and Fallon and their banter, plus LOOK at that beautiful cover!
make sure to check out the cw/tw as well.

I loved this cozy fantasy. Cinnamon and Fallon go on a quest to kill an evil witch and chaos ensues. This really had everything: magic, demons, a quest, found family, and a cute romance with mates (he falls first). I LOVED the romance in this book and I genuinely enjoyed how funny this book was. I will be re-reading this and continuing with the series.

That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon is by far one of the most unique and hysterical books I've read. It is a fantasy that uses modern slang and phrasing, which might not be everyone's cup of tea, but works really well for a story that doesn't take itself too seriously.
Cinnamon is an absolute delight as a character. She's effortlessly hilarious and someone you very much want as your friend. Fallon is incredibly honorable for a demon and absolutely worships Cinnamon and well, don't we all want that? The quest storyline was great and had just enough hijinx to set up the rest of the series while making you laugh. And the spice!
I love Kimberly Lemming and can't wait to continue on with the rest of the series!

I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this one, but it was fun and I highly enjoyed it. I would recommend this.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC.
This book is the weirdest mix of cozy storytelling and mythological creature porn I’ve ever encountered. It’s funny, cute, and overall a pretty decent quick read. 3.5 stars rounded up for goodreads.

Snark, attitude, dragons, witches, and a fair bit of spice (in more ways than one) create a romping fun adventure with action, battles, and magic and, yes, did I mention simmering to boiling heat? Many LOL moments and maybe some orcs, werewolves and a lamia join the fun. Doesn't get much better than this for a fun and spicy read.

This was an absolute delight! I absolutely devoured this book in one sitting and then listened to the audiobook! This book had the perfect amount of plot, spice and chemistry! The crazy adventure they went on had me HOOKED. I truly laughed out so so much! Kimberly lemming forever has a fan in me! 5/5 hands DOWN!

A spice trader's life is turned upside down when she accidentally rescues a demon... who now needs her help to go on a quest and kill a fake goddess, just another day in the life. Cinnamon dreams about having a nice quiet life, yet all of that is chucked out the window when she accidentally saves a demon who then request her help in stopping an evil lich pretending to be a goddess. Cinnamon soon finds herself going on a quest, saving demons, fighting monsters, and dealing with the scariest quest of all, falling in love. Fallon is a charming handsome demon who is determined to win Cinnamon's heart. Together they make a really cute couple and this book was just a feel good fun read.
*Thanks Netgalley and Orbit Books, Orbit for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review*

Rating: 4/5 Stars
Honestly I enjoyed this book so much! It was a totally breath of fresh air, so fun, so cozy. I loved every minute of it!

This book was pretty average, but had some cute and funny moments sometimes. The pacing was done well and the characters were all cute and memorable in their own ways. Definitely a good novel to cleanse your palate with.

This is what I pictured as low steak, cozy fantasy. If you are wanting a deep complex magic system and plot, this will not be for you. But if you are looking for a fantasy that’s funny, goes on a quest, some serious good spicy scenes, and a mix of demons and magical creatures intermixing with humans … this is for you. I was enjoying this book so much I also go the audio, which I can say was very very good. Cinnamon and Fallons banter was great, especially Fallon! I loved that he’s a dragon. For being a more simple magic system, I still really enjoyed the world! Would recommend!

Thank you netgalley and Orbitt books for a copy of this ebook in exchange of an honest review.
I first want to start this by saying that my little heart couldn't handle all the joy and happiness this story brought me. I COULDN'T STOP swooning and LOL all the way through this novel. A demon and a human falling in love? A cast of friends/found family that you did not know you needed but found and now you can't live without? An adventure so fun and sweet that you don't want the pages to end? And don't even get me started on the spice scenes between cinnamon and Fallon..>_< .
Anyways, what I am trying to say is that THIS POPULAR BOOKTOK BOOK is IT!!! You need it in your life, trust me.

This was a delightful cozy fantasy that doesn’t take itself too seriously. The characters have a lot of heart and depth to them. There is a decent amount of spice in this short little book and a lot of heartwarming romance.

I really liked the world. It was so well crafted and imiginative. It's a fun world to be in. I also really liked CInnamon and Fallon and their banter.
The only thing the didn't make me like this book more is the plot. The plot is really simple and the main conflict is solved really easily. Sometimes the spice took over the story and that's just not me preference.
Thank you Netgalley, author, and publisher for the ARC.

this is such a delightful cozy fantasy, but it also does have some higher stakes at play, while also talking about some, and having some, heavier themes and topics. (please look at some content warnings down below!) but i really enjoyed this one, especially the first half and set up. this also is a four part quest storyline, and you all know how much i love watching characters travel to their adventures! i was so impressed with this, and i promise it is a very high three star, but i just didn't love how... intense.. the love interest was towards the last half of this book. but i very much do not think that will be an issue for many readers, especially romance readers! plus cinnamon is just the absolutely best main character, and she is so effortlessly funny! i am so excited to continue on in this world!
author's cw/tw: light bdsm, dubcon, violence, sexually explicit content
other cw/tw that i wrote down while reading: drinking, loss of a loved one in past, grief depiction, threat of sexual violence, violence, abuse, slavery, blood, torture, vomit, animal death (alligator haha), mention of kidnapping, fatphobic comments that are in a negative light + immediately challenged/shut down

Why have angsty romances when you can have one with cheese?
Uh, well, I'm in love with the book, the world, the characters and the author (I hope that's ok Kimberly, but I'm openly starting my one sided romance with your work).
This was everything and then more, and did I mention cheese? Cinnamon was such a relatable character that I said "girl, same" at least out loud, 100 times and where can I find me one of these demon life partners?
10 stars, one of my favorite books of the year.

This book was fantastic, and light hearted. A fast paced, adventure, where you never know what’s happening at the next twist, or who is going to show up! I loved every moment of this quick little read.
