This was so fun! I really enjoyed the fantasy world. Cinnamon was such a great character. It is a great palate cleanser book.

This book gave me Legends and Lattes vibes but with great spice 😏. It’s was super cozy and funny. The perfect romcom with some good smut mixed it. I love a strong BIPOC main character roster and this one did not disappoint. Fallon gives very much “you touch and her and you die” vibes while Cinnamon is a badass undercover. And together they have a great dynamic with the perfect about of sarcastic banter.
3.5⭐️

Cozy, funny, absolutely cute and a breath of fresh air.
I wish it hadn't taken me that long to read. It was quick and relaxing.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! I can't wait for the next book. The characters and the world building was SOLID! The magic system also made sense but I enjoyed it's new approach/style.

I think this series is so fun and brings something fresh and exciting to readers who want some fantasy, fun, and monsters! This isn’t my personal favorite of the series but it’s still a blast to read, I just think the plot needed to be either less of the book, or executed a bit better.

I found this book to be really engaging and I loved the premise. I'm a sucker for cozy fantasy so this story was right up my alley. I am looking forward to reading other books by the author.

OMG this book was fantastic! I had a great time reading this book. This was so good! I absolutely loved Cinnamon and Fallon. I cannot stop thinking about this book!!! 5 star read. I can't wait to read the rest of the series!

I enjoyed this book too much. The mead mishap series is amazing and the titles are fantastic. A nice short steamy read for monster lovers everywhere

This book was super funny and I love to main character. I enjoyed every bit of it and can't wait to continue on in the series.
I love a good cozy funny fantasy. I can see why this wouldn't be some people's cup of tea, buts it's definitely mine.

Love this book so much. It’s fun and engaging, a quick read that pulls you in right away. The spice was great!

I found myself enjoying this story, it was a fun read that had me turning pages. An easy read that goes smoothly. A quest full of romance and Spice.

When Cinnamon accidentally saves a demon, Fallon, on a drunken night, her life turns upside down. How could she possibly go on an adventure with a demon and why is he kinda...?
I loved Cinnamon. She is relatable and funny, and she makes an incredible leading lady. She is complex and interesting to read. Fallon is a dreamboat (for a demon, for sure). This book was an all around great time, and I can't wait to continue the series!
This book was written for you if:
1) You want a relatable, amazing female main character
2) You want a romcom that just so happens to also be fantasy
3) You want to be taken on a wild adventure!

This book was a fun ride! I loved the quirkiness of the characters and setting. I can't wait to continue the series.

This review is longggggg overdue. Going in to this book the title grabbed me off the rip! And the artwork is just chef’s kiss. This was quirky, fun, adventurous, and spicy. I immediately loved the main character. Her vibes, her energy and her wit are just 10/10. I would love a special edition of this series because it deserves more attention!

That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon by Kimberly Lemming is a charming fantasy rom-com and the first in the Mead Mishaps series.
The audiobook is narrated by Hazel Addison, and she was very entertaining to listen to! I'll definitely be seeking out other books she narrates.
This was such a fun read; I inhaled it in one sitting! I have a feeling this series is going to end up as a comfort reread for me in time.
Our heroine Cin (short for Cinnamon) is sassy and fun and I loved that she wore skirts with hidden pockets so she can stow away wine and snacks. I laughed so loud after one particular line that I had to immediately share it with friends.
I particularly enjoyed the world-building and am looking forward to reading further in the series. There were also tons of easter eggs about other media I enjoy, like dungeons & dragons and Hamilton. The steamy scenes were well done and lean a little into light bdsm.
CW: violence, light dubcon, mentions of sexual violence (in conversation, does not occur)

This is the first book I have read of Kimberly’s and I cannot wait to devour more! I’m not a big fan of the smut but the storyline was engaging and left me wanting to know more about this world. I love the no nonsense attitude the FMC has and her growth throughout the book. And let’s just say I’m a little jealous of her… overall a great story.

I thought this books was really fun and light. Easy to read in a day! I loved the FMC, love a curvy girl who isn’t all powerful but is confident and powerful in her own way. 💕💕

Just finished That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon by Kimberly Lemming.
Such a good cozy read! I loved the vibes and the romance. The fantasy was a fun setting and gave it that little bit of extra that I enjoy so much.
Casual body positivity here made me so happy, and I laughed out loud more than once.

Unfortunately this book didn’t work for me. It was very light hearted and had some funny moments but the writing felt unfinished and the overuse of modern slang really pushed me out of the fantasy world.

I love this book. Lemming's writing is beautifully chaotic and the characters are so relatable. So many of Cinnamon's inner dialogue had me busting up.
I've read some Cozy Fantasy books recently that would make up spells and magic to explain away all the things. The MC's can't speak the same language, "Oh, there's a potion for that" and it's so eye-rollingly cringe. Lemming has explained away random inconsistencies (And I hesitate to even call them) with the same line, but it's done in a way that has me saying, "Of course, that totally makes sense." Like I said, beautifully chaotic. I love the modern twist in a fantasy. I'm excited to read more from Lemming!
