I'm really enjoying these Monsters on Mill Street books. They have a cute rhyming story with adorable illustrations. I'm looking forward to sharing these with my granddaughters - especially the bouncy one in this case! I think they'll really have fun with both the story and finding all the fun things in the illustrations.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.

A cute book that teaches kids that it is okay to move and get your wiggles out, but you need to be aware of your surroundings and other people because being safe is what is most important.

This is the 3rd and final one I read with my boys ages 4 & 6. They loved all the books in the series. This one doesn't hold the same meaningful message as the other 2 but it is still a cute story for kids who have a hard time sitting still. It talks about being to energetic and the messes you can get into and have to clean up. It was written in a fun and exciting perspective with lots of rhymes. I recommend this series to school age children. Thank you Netgalley for sharing these books with my family. it was a lot of fun to read.

This was a cute book that tells kids it's okay to have a lot of energy and to let it out but in reasonable ways. Bounce around as long as you're not bothering anyone, and you can try to channel it into other activities. I felt like there was a slight undercurrent of "sitting still and quiet activities are better" with the yoga and meditation page but still a cute book overall. The art was cute and very captivating as well.

A super cute little book about a monster who has so much energy and doesn't know what to do with it. I think this will show kids to channel their energy into non-destructive things and will also show them that sometimes you can be bouncy but sometimes you have to be still

This book, written in verse, is bright and fun… and helpful!

• It is designed to help children develop social-emotional learning skills and children will definitely recognize some of their own behaviors in the story.

• The Bounciest Monster is so realistic because just about every kid I’ve ever known has been a bouncy ball of energy! And that isn’t a bad thing, per se. But this book will help children understand that sometimes being too “bouncy” can cause problems, including hurting themselves or breaking things.

• This is a cute book with a great lesson. The book is 34 pages long and targeted at readers 3 to 8 years old. Perfect for any home or primary school library.

Thank you @NetGalley and ViaNova Productions for an eARC of these books, which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

I was able to read three books by this Author and in this series and I loved them all. This one was cute and I definitely know that children will love this book because they are bouncy too! I will definitely recommend this to my patrons at the library!

Great book to read to a kid who notices themselves having themselves having trouble controlling their movements. The rambunctious kids don’t always have a role model in kids book, but now they do.

I like how the first half of the book shows Becks just living her life with little regard to how her behavior is affecting others. Then when she is hurt and has a huge mess to clean up because of her actions, she realizes that bouncing with abandon probably isn’t the best way to live. As a parent, I like that several solutions are shown by Becks as ways to channel her energy. Nice job!

Another good book in the monsters on mill street series. Meet Becks, who has an endless supply of energy, fidgets, twists, can’t sit still and bounces all over the place. Sounds like most young kids these days! Becks has to learn to slow down, calm down and figure out ways to constructively use all of that energy without getting hurt or causing trouble. A lesson that many kids need. As with the other books in this series, the Illustrations are bright, funny and spot on for catching a kids attention. The rhyming nature of the story will keep a child engaged and help them relate to the story’s message in an entertaining way. I have thoroughly enjoyed these books and highly recommend them for schools.

Anyone with young children, check out these books!!

My thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

We loved this one so much especially because my sons name is Beckett and he is very bouncy. This book shows how fun it is being bouncy and having a great time but also shows that if we aren’t paying attention that fun affects other people and can cause big messes for ourselves. I have loved all three books in this series that we’ve read and it’s really helped me explain why I’m saying certain things to him because he can take a step back and see for himself.

A very cute book that many children will likely be able to see themselves in. It could help them realize that they are not alone with their abundance of energy and that while there is nothing wrong with that, if they are not careful someone may get hurt. This could easily help a parent redirect them towards an activity to release this energy and they may be more susceptible.

This was so fun to read with my toddler! She’s quite bouncy and loved bouncing with the monster and seeing where the monster went to!

So adorable! Cute and catchy rhymes that are silly enough to promote giggles galore. But teach a simple lesson. My five year old didn’t want to read a book at all, but I started reading and he was transfixed after 3 pages. Then he immediately wanted to read others by the same author.

Perfect book for a family who has hyperactive children! It shows that there is a time & place for high energy but that at times we need to be calmer and work to control our bodies a little more. Loved it!

This is a good children's book, which shows a monster called Becks, who has so much energy that she is always bouncing around hyper everywhere, and causing trouble, without meaning to. She has to learn ways in which to slow down and channel her energy into other things which will not get her in trouble.

The images in the book are quirky and fun, and children will love them. The text is in rhyming fashion, which my daughter enjoyed.

This book is part of a series. Highly recommended!

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.

My child and I really enjoyed this fun, sweet, and bouncy tale of a Monster who just can't help but bounce!

I enjoyed the message this book had about energy, and how sometimes we need to channel that energy into other activities such as yoga and meditation. As a parent of a little one who would in fact jump off to Mars if they could, I appreciated the care and understanding that went into this book.

My child loved the simple story, and was engaged the whole time. The illustrations were bright and colorful, and perfect for the book.

We will be reading this one over and over again, and will soon become a staple in our collection!

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the digital arc of this book!

The Bounciest Monster on Mill Street by Sarah Sparks
Children's Fiction - Health, Mind & Body - Parenting & Families

This is such a wonderful story. Becks is always bouncing, jumping, skipping, and flipping which can make messes and get in the way. While cleaning up a mess Becks realizes there may be another way to express herself without causing messes. This is such a fun read. I love all the fun and mess Becks finds herself in, because I have a Becks of my own at home. I will have to read this book to my little one and show her there are other ways to express ourselves while being mindful of others. The illustrations are cute and chaotic and the rhyming writing style is fun to follow along with.

The Bounciest Monster on Mill Street is the hilarious story of Becks, a monster with WAY too much energy. One day she wakes up with so much energy it overflows, and she bounces all over town. She bounces to the moon and to Mars, and when she gets tired, she finally comes crashing back down. She makes a huge mess in the kitchen, and as she's cleaning up, she realizes there might be better ways to control her energy, so she finds other other ways to use her energy without all the chaos. The illustrations and the rhyme in this book are delightfully funny. Sure to tickle your little one into giggles!

Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to review this advanced review copy (ARC) in exchange for my honest review on the book!
