The Bounciest Monster on Mill Street by Sarah Sparks
Children's Fiction - Health, Mind & Body - Parenting & Families

This is such a wonderful story. Becks is always bouncing, jumping, skipping, and flipping which can make messes and get in the way. While cleaning up a mess Becks realizes there may be another way to express herself without causing messes. This is such a fun read. I love all the fun and mess Becks finds herself in, because I have a Becks of my own at home. I will have to read this book to my little one and show her there are other ways to express ourselves while being mindful of others. The illustrations are cute and chaotic and the rhyming writing style is fun to follow along with.

The Bounciest Monster on Mill Street is the hilarious story of Becks, a monster with WAY too much energy. One day she wakes up with so much energy it overflows, and she bounces all over town. She bounces to the moon and to Mars, and when she gets tired, she finally comes crashing back down. She makes a huge mess in the kitchen, and as she's cleaning up, she realizes there might be better ways to control her energy, so she finds other other ways to use her energy without all the chaos. The illustrations and the rhyme in this book are delightfully funny. Sure to tickle your little one into giggles!

Another great book in a series designed to help kids be more mindful and calm down. Good introduction into a meditation or yoga/stretching lesson for children to help them center themselves and realize that there is a time and place for unbounded energy, but sometimes calm can help reenergize and channel that energy for good.
