I have mixed opinions about Noom as a whole and its app/program but this book was a good tool to create some healthier recipes.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. I found this to be an okay cookbook. I know they are attempting to sell the title because it goes hand in hand with the Noom culture, but it felt like any Weight Watchers book or other weight loss cookbook.

This book is a treasure trove of healthy, fast recipes curated with beautiful pictures and 100 recipes! From desserts to sumptuous everyday dishes, "The Noom Kitchen" guides you through easy recipes for all skill levels, including portable meals to eat on-the-go. I think this cookbook is great for those that need healthy meals on a tight schedule. I appreciated the tips on how to include more nutrient density to meals being noted throughout the cookbook.

Loved this cookbook! It had easy to follow instructions, bright pictures, and all the nutritional information you could want. I love that it explained Noom and how there are no good or bad foods and how everything depends on moderation. There was a very handy section of techniques that explained some of the trickier concepts. I also liked how the ingredients were fresh ingredients, not a lot of canned or frozen things. Overall a great cookbook with a ton of recipes I'm looking forward to using.

The Noom Kitchen
3.5 Stars

I didn't know anything about Noom before reading this cookbook. The Noom Kitchen is really informative. Though this cookbook didn't sell me on the diet program. I did try a few recipes and they were OK. I love the many photos showing yummy food. There's a variety of recipes to choose from. Overall, Nothing really sticks out in this book for me. It's worth renting from the library. The recipes are easy to follow, but they were hit or miss with me.

Thank you, NetGalley and Simon Element, for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I've always been interested in Noom but hit a paywall before I could find out the details I was interested in about their program. This book shed some more light on what Noom is all about. I liked the pictures in this cookbook and I saved a couple of recipes to try.

This is a really interesting cookbook that has its own unique approach to healthy cooking and eating. I didn't know anything about Noom before this, but it was really educational. Lots of stuff I would like to try making!

The Noom Kitchen cookbook, showcasing 100 healthy and flexible recipes, is a commendable addition to the culinary world. Each recipe is accompanied by beautiful photographs, adding visual appeal. While some recipes may not align with personal taste preferences, the focus on incorporating "green foods" – nutritionally dense ingredients – is a noteworthy aspect. The book's commitment to putting a healthy twist on familiar favorites and providing portable, storable options for on-the-go eating demonstrates its practical approach. Whether you're an avid Noom user or a newcomer, The Noom Kitchen offers accessible culinary guidance for anyone seeking to prioritize health and wellness in their kitchen endeavors.

This is a fine cookbook. I appreciated that every recipe has a photo and that detailed nutritional information is provided. The recipes are pretty heavy on animal products, though there is a vegetarian chapter. While they focus on healthy dishes, not everyone is going to agree on what healthy means. I don’t really consider turkey bacon or oat milk particularly healthy for instance though they are certainly healthier than a drive through burger), but these swaps are presumably included because the authors do. There are a fair number of gluten free recipes and it’s fairly easy to adapt others. Dairy free people will find fewer recipes but there are some. Vegans will not find much here. Many recipes are low carb but not keto, and paleo people will find a lot of grains, beans and other verboten foods. Those who are fairly new to homemade, whole food cooking and don’t have special dietary needs will probably enjoy it.

I read a temporary digital copy of this book for review.

After watching this program gain in popularity, I decided to try it. The principles are sound, diets don't work if you don't change your eating habits. The recipes are great and easy to follow, you don't feel deprived or have to keep a seperate pantry for the diet. And it works. Try it for yourself. This book gives some clear guidance on establishing and maintaining your diet program. It makes it much easier and clearer what to expect from the start.

Hands down the easiest, healthy cookbook! The recipes are broken down into sections by topic (breakfast, snack, sweets etc.) and then each recipe has a green, yellow, red code for how calorie dense the recipe is. Also each recipe has a gorgeous picture accompanying it. I cannot wait to try all the salad dressing recipes. Oh and all the recipes are easily trackable on the Noom app so added bonus!

It’s a new year with new health goals, so this cookbook seemed like a good starting point. I have dabbled in the NOOM program previously but plan on recommitting.

𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘕𝘖𝘖𝘔 𝘒𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘯 begins by giving an overview of their beliefs and values, which focuses on realistic and balanced lifestyle choices and healthful habits. Foods are not “good” or “bad” but are instead color-coded based on nutrient and caloric density; food-shaming is discouraged, moderation is key. After also briefly reviewing important cooking tools, ingredients, and techniques, the book then gets into its collection of recipes, which are color-coded according to their system and divided into the following categories: Breakfast and Brunches, Soups and Salads, Meat and Poultry, Seafood, Vegetarian, Side Dishes, Snacks, and Desserts.

There is a nice breadth and variety of dishes in 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘕𝘖𝘖𝘔 𝘒𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘯, but I wouldn’t say there are any particularly unique or memorable recipes that would make it stand out against other healthy cookbooks. Nonetheless, I think it would make a good resource for anyone on the NOOM program and I look forward to attempting a few of dishes. I am a big fan of seafood and salads, so I will likely start with those!

Cookbooks need pictures! The Noom Kitchen delivers georgous pictures with easy to follow directions. Some recipies get a little fancy, but still easy to follow. Great variety. Beginning opens with real talk on having a healthy food relationship.

I liked the brief overview of the Noom philosophy. The book may be more beneficial for those participating in the program, but this seemed to be a healthier eating cookbook. Lots of veggies. I liked that each recipe had nutritional info and a color photo. The recipes sounded good, but none seemed particularly unique.

The Noom diet has been highly advertised for their app and new take on dieting but not something I was super familiar with. The cookbook opens with a quick synapsis of the program focusing on caloric density and nutritional density. Each of the recipes that follow are color coded as to where they fit on this scale. There is also a list of foods and utensils that will be included in the book as well as some instructions on basic cooking techniques (how to poach an egg, make a granita, etc). The categories cover all the basics from breakfast to desserts. It included a nice section on vegetarian which I liked and was not just a list of salads. The selection of recipes were not over the top unique but they did look and sound delicious. Each one includes an ingredient list, detailed instructions, nutritional facts and a beautiful picture. I have tried a couple of the options and they did not disappoint and will be adding a few more to our rotation. I am not sure this cookbook sold me on the diet program but it is a nice addition to people who are looking for healthy recipes to add to their repertoire.

I took my time to make sure I could test all the recipes in this book, and see if they were as good as they looked. They did not disappoint, and they also help both me and my Husband lose a little weight too. Noon is more a readjustment of your attitude to food, rather than a diet, and this is apparent in the recipes. the pictures are colorful and represent the dishes accurately.

I'd definitely recommend this book, and will be purchasing a couple for friends who I know will get a lot of use out of it.

As someone who has used the Noom program in the past, this book is what I had expected. The program is designed to show you how to make healthier choices and still enjoy what you’re eating. This followed suit with an assortment of recipes such as Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream, and B.L.A.T. (Turkey Bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato).

This would appeal to anyone who loves cookbooks and is interested in eating healthier.
It has recipes that are very simple to follow. Time length of recipes also range from quick to a little more involved.

Thank you Simon Element for providing an advanced copy via NetGalley.

The Noom Kitchen has helped me see food in a different way. The writing is great and easy to read and the dressing recipes are wonderful and full of flavor. I have only done one soup recipe (Creamy Tortilla Soup) which was wonderful and easy to make. This cookbook is one of my favorites and I will definitely be adding this to my rotation of cookbooks I use. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for a copy of The Noom Kitchen in exchange for an honest review.

These recipes are pretty much a combo of Asian and Mediterranean cooking, which means obviously more veggie based, lighter fare. I didn't find whole lot new in the book. I did appreciate the simple lesson in quick sushi making without sushi tools! For those newer to cooking, it's a good basic book, especially for vegans, or those just cutting out red meat (any recipe with beef or pork could be substituted with chicken or seafood for example). there are photos with most recipes, making it great for beginners to know what the finished product should look like. If your looking for a great gift cookbook for those wanting lighter fare this season, this is the book for you!
