50 Successful Harvard Applications Essays should be required reading for all high school seniors (and their parents!). It's not easy to stand out amongst your peers when applying to college, and writing an essay that makes colleges take notice isn't easy. 500 words to make an impression! This book doesn't write that essay for you, but it definitely offers many ideas and examples that takes at least some of the stress out of the task. Highly recommend!

I really like this resource! It gives me great fodder for discussion with students and will give those who are lost a direction. It's interesting that not all essays are traditionally "great" but there is an explanation about what worked, what could be improved, and why the essay was "memorable."
