I love the concept of this book and there are some lovely recipes. It is based upon party themes with lots of ideas, including game suggestions.
Most are not groundbreaking recipes but I like how they are put together. There is a huge variety of recipes as well and that means there is always something new to try. This is a really good book.

Having a toddler means I don't have time to plan things the way I would like to but this book made it so easy and fun to host people near the holidays and even for a random dinner.

The book is cute and full of shiny, happy people and colorful dishes. It just wasn't for us.

The recipe style is readable and clear.

Some of the recipes didn't seem to go well with the type of party presented and many (many many many) of the pictures just didn't look appealing to me.

Unfortunately, it just wasn't to our taste and I didn't see much of anything that I wanted to try.

Your mileage may vary.

I will say Tim Mulligan knows how to throw a party. I love that every party has a game, drink, app, side and main.

My biggest issue is the pictures weren’t great. Some recipes sounded terrific and the picture looked unappetizing. I definitely think a food stylist and/or photographer would help this a ton. It would be a 5 star book for sure.

I can honestly say that I enjoyed reading this book. I can also honestly say that I could not find a single recipe that I would want to base a party on. Just not for me. I thank Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this cookbook.

"A perfect 10 - Party edition" is the kind of cookbook that feels ... personal and genuine. If you like beautiful cookbooks with professional photos and gourmet food, this one's not for you. If you're ready to literally not judge this book by its cover (or any other visual in it) you might be pleasantly surprised by it's content.

The book is divided into 7 chapters, each one of them represents a party theme or occasion, with an introduction that explains how the author came to choose the recipes for each occasion (which can be useful if you want to come up with a dish of your own) as well as ideas for group games and activities in bonus yay !

I found most chapters interesting :
1. Brunch
2. Happy hour
3. Birthday party
4. Pool party
5. Baby/wedding Shower
6. Award show party
7. Festive Holiday dinner
However, I wish the aesthetic of the dishes followed the themes as well.

The menus revolve around American cuisine, with some dishes inspired by other cultures (mexican food, asian food ...) so you'll have to expect not-so-healthy but very tempting food like (my personal favourites) the chocolate cold brew pistachio cake cups, the mini fried chicken on waffles or the party popovers. But you can also be surpised by the occasional fancier options like the French onion soup stuffed mushrooms or the fluffy cloud eggs.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the author for giving me access to a digital copy of this cookbook in exchange of an honest review.

This was so much fun to flip through, felt like I was part of the party having drinks no playing games. There are pictures following the recipes. Thank you to the publisher and author for a copy.

The photos in this book are wonderful and show off the recipes well. My favorite recipes are the Princess Leia Cinnamon Roll Cake, Primo Parmesan Crusted Chicken and Aunt Pat's Chocolate Expresso Cream Pie. The recipes are diverse and versatile. This is a great cookbook! Special Thank You to Tim Mulligan, Highpoint Life, and NetGalley for allowing me to read a complimentary copy prior to publication in exchange for an honest review.

Love to entertain, but would like a little help in simplifying the process? You’ll want to pick up an excellent cookbook, A Perfect 10 Party Edition: Full Menus and Activities to Make Hosting Parties a Breeze, by bestselling cookbook author and food blogger, Tim Mulligan.
The cookbook is divided into menus, with choices for different mealtimes and parties, including drinks, appetizers, main dishes, side dishes, and desserts. The menu ideas go together well, and the dishes will result in parties that everyone will enjoy.

The recipes are written in the traditional manner with the ingredients listed first, followed by step-by-step instructions that will insure that both beginning and advanced cooks will be able to successfully make the dishes and successfully entertain friends and family. Mulligan adds helpful and fun comments at the beginning of each recipe. Mulligan has a sense of humor and makes this book fun to read.

These recipes Mulligan has included are unique and innovative. This is not a book for cooks who like to make boring mundane dishes. There are so many fun recipes, in fact, that readers will find they are trying to think of new ways to entertain so they can serve them.

Another plus: beautiful, professional photos that show the dishes as mouthwatering and appealing.

All told, this cookbook is amazing! It is one that I plan to use constantly. My queue for “must make” recipes gets longer and longer every time I pick up this cookbook.

Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book.

I really like the idea of this book. I am not a party planner and when doing so need a lot of help. This book helps you know what themes, meal ideas and side and deserts might go well together and it all seems very nice for me. I’ll definitely be referring to this next time I pull off a party. Has ideas from pool party to Holliday party with party activities and meals included.

This book has a few interesting recipes, but nothing that I would base an entire party on;. It reads and feels as if the author had some mild success with a previous book and is cashing in on that while the opportunity still exists. All in all, average.

Thanks to Netgalley and Highpoint life for access to this Arc in exchange for my honest review.

This book is amazing ! If you're looking to host any party, it has so many recipes for not only food, but also game ideas to entertain your guests, and drinks too. I'll be trying out a few recipes for everyday meals too, they seem so good.

I'm sorry but I did not enjoy this book. I felt it would be more suited as an ebook to be sold on Amazon or from the author's website.
