This book was delightful! I loved the characters and the beauty of friendship! The narrators fit the parts perfectly! Thank you! Enjoy!
Thank you to Net Galley for this opportunity to listen to this book! All opinions are mine!

Team Jess forever. The narrators did a great job and the story was cute and satisfying. I enjoyed this one a lot.

After getting pregnant at 17 and becoming a single Mom. She falls for her best friend who becomes a famous actor. A slow burn romance that will make you want your own Jesse.
Thank you to NetGallery and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was such an amazing romance novel. Lana Mae and Carter meet at a frat house when she goes to surprise her boyfriend. She realizes that he is not participating in the extracurricular activities that he has been telling her about. Lana Mae ends up a single mom and Carter becomes her best friend and is always there. Did I mention that he has become a famous actor??? Carter and Lana Mae become best friends and they both think that the other isn't interested. I really love Lana Mae's character because she doesn't think that she is good enough for Carter. I think she is very relatable and so many of us at times that we are lacking in areas. Carter has this fake engagement with Lana Mae and they soon realize that they were meant to be more. I loved this book and can't wait to read more from this author. We will be ordering this book for our library!
Thank you NetGalley for letting me review this audiobook!

I Think He Knows is a cute friends-to-lovers story that I enjoyed, but also found fairly forgettable. It’s a fun read for Swifties and Gilmore Girls fans (references galore!). I didn’t love either narrator, though—there was a weirdly high number of mispronunciations that took me out of the story fairly often.

I think he knows, too, but it takes a little while. And finally, she knows, too! This book is a delightful friends to lovers story that really shines a light on the value of a strong friendship. Carter and Lana Mae become family to each other when they're both young and remain each other's rock through a turbulent decade of change. Lana Mae's always known that no other man can compare to Carter, but the big 3-0 persuades her that she'd better at least try the dating scene. All of a sudden, Carter's loving but unfocused awareness springs to attention at the approach of incoming danger. Secondary plot lines bring magic to the book: Lana Mae has a fabulous daughter and a charming extended family, and Carter's a sexy and world-famous movie star. Katie Bailey is a new author to me, but the aforementioned family members are the main characters in other books, and I can't wait to read them all.

I just found my new book boyfriend... or is that fake fiance?
This one had everything I love about a sweet romance.
Hollywood hunk, single mum, smart-mouth banter, friends to lovers, fake engagement.
While there were no tears, there was many parts where I laugh out loud, and it was swoon all the way.
I listened to the audio via Netgalley, and went straight to buy another book by this author! Bonus, it's from the same family! Happy dance!

“I Think He Knows” is a friends to lovers, he’s a famous actor, she’s a single mum, fake engagement, lighthearted story.
Lana-Mae and Carter have both been trying to forget their feeling for each other for about ten years. Squash them into a little box and pretend they’re just friends. I like it when these kinds of books are dual POV so that you can read the angst from both sides. You get to experience both of them work out their true feelings and finally stop lying to themselves.
The love between these characters was believable and the daughter was super cute too. I loved how she went along with the whole “new daddy” thing and how funny she found it. Why are the kids in these single parent books always so smart, funny, sweet and well behaved? Where are the kids that are just the worst? 😂
I enjoyed the voice actors in this audiobook, especially the FMC. She really read it like you feel it was meant to be spoken, if that makes sense…
Some of the stand out moments:
😆 Her inner “Booooooo” when Carter covers up his mostly naked body had me cackling in the car
🏕️ Of course at the “Daddy Daughter Campout” all the dads are asleep in the tents while a team of “volunteer” Mums are there cleaning up
Was really wishing for a show down moment between Lana-Mae and her shitty ex, so she could punch him in the face herself. 🙃
Thanks to #NetGallery and the publisher. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Fabulous narration, such a cute story and follow up novel in the series. A well done friends to lovers. Continue to love Katie Bailey books.

Can I just say how much I appreciated that there wasn't any steamy intimacy scenes? While I don't mind them at times, I tend to find most of them a bit cringe or so flowery to the point of lacking reality. So I found this one to be a nice change and it allowed for the focus to be purely on the two characters. Lana May and Carter were just cozy adorableness that you just wanted to yell at due to them being too nice and careful of the other's feelings. I just wish it wasn't so dang slooooooooooow of a burn. All the years wasted! I also did find the narrators to be nice, however I did have to spead them up quite a bit (2x). Overall, such a nice romance to read and I am looking forward to picking up the first from the series.

I’m a sucker for a celebrity romance, and this one did not let me down. I was initially drawn to this book because of the title- which is also the title of a Taylor Swift song. I was happy to discover that there are references to Taylor peppered throughout the book, making for some rather humorous moments for a lifelong swiftie. I loved the backstory of our main characters- Lana May and Carter. They meet as teenagers on what is arguably one of the worst nights of Lana May’s life. Throughout the years, the two lean on each other as best friends even as their lives take them further and further apart. When a mix up leads to the media believing the two of them are engaged, they have to figure out how to separate fact from fiction as both of them wonder if the other has a serious interest or is just really good at acting. This book is the first one in a while that I’ve read that doesn’t have any spice, but I didn’t miss it with all the flirty banter we got between Lana May and Carter. I realized later on that this is technically book 2 in a series about the Donovan family (consisting of Lana May and her 2 brothers) and I will absolutely be checking out the others!
I listened to the audiobook version of this and while it took me a minute to get used to the narrators since I haven’t listened to anything they’ve read before, they quickly grew on me. I will definitely be making note so I can keep an eye out for them in the future!

This was such a sweet, clean romance featuring so many great tropes such as single mom, celebrity love interest, fake engagement, and BFF to lovers. But it didn't feel forced.
The 9 year old daughter was a fun character that added a touch of extra joy to the book. My only hang up is it drives me a little batty in these best friend love stories how long it takes them to admit their feelings to each other when they feel the same way about each other.
Overall, I do recommend this story and will go see if I can find a copy of her first book in the series now!
Thank you to the author/publisher/netgalley for giving me a copy of this book to rate and review!

I adored this book! Generally, I'm a super spicy reader, yet time and time again, Katie Bailey pulls me in and makes me love her stories that have nothing more than some spicy smooching on page.
Almost immediately, I found myself pulling for both Lana May (don't you DARE call her Lana) and Carter, absolutely enamored with the sweetest book kiddo ever, and in desperate need of a book featuring Carter's kind yet sometimes snarky assistant.
Both Avery Caris and Chris Ruen were fantastic narrators, bringing the story and their characters to life in a way that had me swooning throughout the book!

When I tell you I was MELTING listening to this audiobook! This book being dual POV was the best decision ever, Carter needs to be added to the best book boyfriend list right now, I will lead and start the petition if I need to. This book is a #2 in a series/companion novel, however, I have not read the first one and had no problems with anything. I am adding the first one to my TBR immediately and will be checking out more by this author.
Dual POV, Single Mom FMC, Actor MMC, the most adorable child, Unicorns, Gilmore Girls, Best Friends to Lovers, Familial Relationships, Butt Cake, RomCom, Pancakes
So into more in depth book stuff. I have two favorite parts of this book. The fact there is no sex scene, and Lana Mae’s grown confidence.
Now, even though there is no sex scene, this is still a fairly spicy book. The tension built up between Carter and Lana Mae is so well written you feel it yourself, and while it doesn’t delve into a detailed sex scene, you can feel the attraction and the emotions. I am personally more modest, and don’t want to read explicit sex scenes all the time, especially since its usually at the expense of the plot. This book is very plot driven on Carter and Lana’s lives, not on the sexual relationship between them. This is a 10/10 for me, the best clean romcom I have read this year.
Onto Lana Mae’s confidence. I struggle with body dismorphea due to others perception and opinions of me. And while I’ve never had a child, I can relate to Lana on her not feeling confident in her body sometimes. I feel like so many people can relate to this sentiment in the modern day, and being able to relate to a character in anyway helps me get into the book. I want to see how other people solve the same problems to see if I can use it in my own life. When Carter learns how Lana Mae feels, he makes it his personal mission to make her feel more confident. Never settle for anything less that Carter Callahan ladies.
Random note. Lana Mae, the most Georgian name I have ever read/heard. As a southern girly, I appreciate.

A sweet love story full of true friendship, real love, a fake engagement, a crazy family and a daddy-daughter campsite. Carter and Lana Mae had been best friend for ten years, when she got pregnant with her cheating boyfriend and Carter supported her all her life. Can they stay friends or will they face their true feelings once and for all? The audiobook is amazing

This was such a cute friends to lovers trope! I adore Carter and he was such a sweet/thoughtful MC for her. I do wish we could’ve gotten a little more of the meet up at the beginning as the start of the book is a little abrupt but nothing bad or anything. The narration for the book was great as well very clear wording and easy to understand even with the speed notched up a couple times!

Lana May and Carter have been good friends since college, where he watched her become a single mother while his acting career took off. Unbeknownst to the other, they have each carried a torch for the other, and it all comes to a head when a publicity stunt has them posing as an affianced couple.
I enjoyed this audiobook so much! The narrators were great, the friends-to-lovers was delightful, the fake relationship was well played, and the Gilmore Girls references were delightful. I highly recommend this one for a sweet, light-hearted read with just the right level of heat and swoon.
Thank you to Dreamscape Media via NetGalley for gifting me with an audiobook to review! I really enjoyed it.

I Think He Knows by Katie Bailey is a cute best friends to lovers romance.
Carter met Lana Mae when Lana’s boyfriend, whom is Carter’s frat mate, cheats on her. Lana was pregnant and raises her daughter on her own. Carter and Lana have been best friends ever since, but they both secretly have feelings for each other.
Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This book was a perfect 5/5 for me. There was nothing that I disliked about this book.
Lana and Carter are a perfect pair. Their friendship started before Lana's daughter Legs was born and continued on for 10 years while Lana navigated motherhood and Carter went on to become a big movie star. Ever since her daughters birth, Lana hasn't dated anyone. She focused 100% of her energy raising Legs but now after years of not dating and pining over her best friend, she is ready to put herself back out there. Seven terrible dates later and she's starting to lose hope that she will ever get over Carter.
Carter's career has taken a major hit after getting into a physical altercation that is threatening to ruin his shot at a major movie role. As a ploy to get the public and Hollywood back on his side, his manager sets out to pair him up with a wholesome movie star that is trying to toughen up her image. When plans of a fake marriage are being made, information somehow gets mixed up and suddenly everyone thinks he is engaged to Lana, his best friend.
When Lana hears the news, she decides to play along in the hopes that fake dating Carter will help get him out of her system. As the two spend more and more time as a fake couple the line between fantasy and reality begins to blur and the feelings that have for each other become harder to fight.
Lana and Carter have such a special relationship. I loved how Carter was there for Lana when she was pregnant with Legs and helped her during the first years of her daughters life. Lana was also a strong source of support in Carter's life. She encouraged him to pursue acting even though it killed her every time he left.
I found it adorable how obsessed these two are with each other. I loved watching them grow into the couple they were always meant to be. I was rooting for them the whole time despite knowing that they would obviously end up together. Carter is now on my book boyfriend list...
Katie Bailey is officially one of my auto buy authors.

I Think He Knows is a sweet, low stress, friends-to-lovers romance stuffed with Taylor Swift references. Lana Mae is a genuinely likable character, and Carter is definitely book boyfriend material. The solid narration of both characters was the cherry on top of this already great book. This is the second book in the Donovan Family series, but each works as a standalone. I enjoyed the first book, So That Happened, but this one was even better.
As a Swiftie, I would recommend this to anyone that likes the idea of Taylor Swift references peppered throughout a book with varying degrees of subtlety. Even if you don't love Taylor, you'll probably enjoy this if you like closed door contemporary romances. I'll be checking out future books from Katie Bailey for sure.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for sending me this audiobook for review consideration. All opinions are my own.
4.5/5 stars
