What a great book! Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to this book in return for an honest review.
The actors in the audio version of the book were so good, and fit the characters very well! As someone who is currently re-watching Gilmore Girls I appreciated the references, maybe even enjoyed the story more-so because of this!
The storyline was great, and I was engaged whilst listening the whole time! Lana and Carter seemed to genuinely have a connection that’s wasn’t forced, partially because of the friends to lovers, but nevertheless their banter was impeccable!
Overall, I loved this book and would recommend it to anyone!

This was such a cute friends to lovers romance that also included a fake dating trope. Lana is a single mom that has been friends with Carter since they were in college. He supported her through a pregnancy when he wasn't the father, and always looks forward to getting to visit her and her daughter. When he is trying to improve his image after a public fight, he decides that he will be fake engaged to a friend who is also trying to improve her image when a story breaks that he is engaged to Lana, his best friend. I loved their friendship and how Carter cared for Lana's daughter as well.

So That Happened was a favorite from last year so obviously I was very excited for Lana Mae’s story. I was patiently waiting for the audiobook.
Soooo many good tropes!
💌celebrity romance
💌friends to lovers
💌mutual pining
💌fake relationship
Some of these tropes are hard to pull off. I’m never sure of friends to lovers—especially if they have been friends as long as Carter and Lana Mae. But I think there were legit reasons for staying in the friend zone for both of them. And the chemistry was hot!
4.5/5

The main character says she's the kind of mom that looks like she was pulled backwards through I hedge and I feel that so much I found her super relatable. Except the Hollywood heartthrob best friend but I wanted to cheer her on and join her family (her family text threads were hilarious!)
As romcoms go it was as predictable as it can be but it was sweet and I loved the characters.

Ah this was such a cute story! It’s a friends to lovers, fake dating romance featuring a single mom and her movie star bestie. I loved the dual POV as we see our leads each long for more than friendship.
It’s chock full of heart, banter, tension and Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, and Gilmore Girls references. If you need a palate cleansing read that will have you smiling - pick this up! Perfect for fans of Sarah Adams.
Thanks NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the advance audiobook copy.

This was the second in this series and just as fun as the first. Lana and Carter both think they’re living their versions of their best lives. She’s raising her beloved smarter than her age daughter with the support of her siblings and he’s
a famous actor and all that comes along with that. They are BFF’s since they met years ago and support each other in every way, but are living very different lives. What they haven’t figured out is that they’re both in love with each other, but neither is willing to risk their friendship to say it out loud. When Carters media image needs some revamping and through some crossed communications they become fake engaged for the world to see. It’s light, warm, with no great surprises and the expected outcome, but so much fun to listen to with of course a great ending. Sometimes you just need a light sweet story with a happy ending and this more than fits the bill! Terrific narration added to my listening experience.

This is going to be one of those books that I NEED to have a physical copy of because that experience was amazing. Seriously, i was going through so many emotions and I felt so giddy throughout the entire book. I also was laughing, and giggling like a schoolgirl every time Carter, let’s say something to Lana. I feel like it gave me kind of the same vibes as the movie how to lose a Guy in 10 days with the whole fake relationship, trying not to fall for each other except in this plot, the two main characters are best friends, so they go through these mixed emotions and kind of keep pushing fate and not wanting to realize that dipping their toes into a relationship could actually work out for them.
Right off the bat you can tell that they are meant to be but also understand where they are coming from as to not wanting to start a relationship in case it goes sour. Even though they are a bit older and more mature than when they met, Lana has a daughter to think of and sometimes as a mom you have to do what’s best for your kids and it was either they find out they have feelings for each other & this relationship works out or it doesn’t and now the only father figure your daughter had in her life isn’t present anymore because said relationship didnt work out.
This was so good I kept yelling at Lana “girl read the room he loves you, hurry up and marry that man!” Haha. I just wanted to shake her like girl stop this negativity. My most favorite book I’ve read in 2023.

YESSSSS. I have been waiting for this book to come out since I did the ALC for So That Happened last year!
I LOVE these books!
Carter is book HUSBAND material! He's so swoony, good grief! I melt. And to see him with Legs. & Just get a bucket and mop me up off the floor!
1 sincerely hope there are more books coming soon because I LOVE Katie Bailey's writing, and these characters feel so real. I can't get enough!
Since this is audiobook, I have to meant the narrators... and they were amazing! They did a great job of making me feel like I was listening to a friend talk about their
story!
-Yummy tropes: Closed door, friends to lovers, single mom, fake dating, celebrity MMC.

Thank you to netgalley for the arc!
this story had such cute tropes: single mom, celebrity romance, best friends to lovers, and i loved how the body positive representation was written.
i’ll admit, the pop culture references really took me out—the zac efron party and taylor swift songs (as much as i adore her) and gilmore girls and tessa bailey references broke my immersion a bit. i definitely wished for a bit more conflict, especially in the third act, but overall this was a very sweet and fun read!

This was such a lovely and sweet story. I think Carter is one of my favorite book boyfriend ever! Friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes and this story was so beautifully done. Also, the audiobook was great too!

Cute and entertaining friends to lovers romance with a little more heft as it also deals with teen pregnancy, single parenting, and loss of a parent. I loved getting to know both Carter and Lana, and particularly enjoyed their banter. There are a lot of pop culture references in this one, which are fine for now, but will eventually date this one in the future (although the Gilmore Girls never get old). While I found this to be a fun, heartwarming read, this only got three stars because a few of the decisions made, which lead to large portions of the book, mainly the reason for the fake engagement and the incident in Las Vegas that prompted everything, didn’t make any sense. All that aside, this was a quick, entertaining read.

So cute and FULL of Taylor Swift references!
So I know the fake dating and fake engagement trope is so unrealistic in the real world, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't one of my absolute favorites. The book is light-hearted, but also is funny and quite charming with how sweet it is.
Even though I was not a teen mom, I still found Lana Mae's character to be extremely relatable and very likeable. And Carter was just so sweet! I found myself truly rooting for them throughout the book.
I listened to this book on audio, and I think the narrators did a fantastic job. I will be checking out other books each narrated.

This was such a sweet and entertaining read! I love this author’s earlier works and I’m thrilled to say I loved this story as well. The family and found family is so well written in this story, not to mention the fantastic dialogue and entertaining cast of characters. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about these two dear friends as they find their way to their own happily ever after. I definitely recommend both of the books in this duology! 🥰
Read this if you love:
💙 friends to lovers
💙 single parent
💙 celebrity romance
💙 family focused
💙 overcoming anxiety/self doubt
Content: mild language, mention of past cheating
Many thanks to the author and NetGalley for an advanced audiobook copy of this story. I really enjoyed both of the narrators, they did a fabulous job of bringing this heartwarming romance story to life! All thoughts are my own.

Katie Bailey, I can tell you’re a swiftie and I’m here for it. “I Think He Knows” was fantastic. I enjoyed the entire book and especially Allegra, the energetic and hilarious 9 year old. She really brought this book to life for me and I couldn’t imagine it without her. The romance and friend was sweet and it gave me goosebumps. Ugh. A great book that I would read again. Anyone who is looking for something light hearted and funny, check this out!

Swifties, unite! (Aka if you didn’t automatically starting singing upon reading this title…well I don’t know what to tell you.) While there’s plenty of Taylor Swift references, this is a sweet story spanning a decade-long friendship between Lana Mae and Carter and a lot of missed communication. Starting as teenagers, Carter meets Lana Mae at one of her hardest times in life and stays with her every step of the way. As adults, she’s a single mom making her way in the world and he’s a Hollywood heartthrob. Both in love with the other, thinking they’ve been friendzoned or the other isn’t interested (again-the benefits of having healthy communication!) Carter is one of those dream book boyfriends but really, each character was great in their own way. Would’ve liked a little more about their stories between the beginning intro and present-day.
The narrators were great at bringing the story to life and hearing their tones/moods really made all the difference to the storytelling.
Thank you to Dreamscape Media for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion. This is out now!

Thank you, Dreamscape Media, for an advanced listener’s copy.
Told in a dual POV, ‘I Think He Knows’ follows Lana Mae, a single mom who is finally getting back into dating after a decade-long hiatus, and her best friend, Carter, who just so happens to be a famous actor and Hollywood’s most notorious serial dater. After suppressing her feelings for Carter for a decade in fear of ruining the friendship, she is shocked to find out through the tabloids that he is engaged …. to her.
I will devour a friends-to-lovers romance every single time. This closed-door romance was so wholesome and fluffy that I couldn’t put it down, it filled my heart with the sweetest flutters. Lana’s character development progressed the storyline and relationship in a way that made it impossible not to root for them, and Carter is definitely charming and very swoon-worthy.
I recommend this one if you’re looking for a comfy romcom to get you through a reading slump. Especially if you like friends to lovers, Taylor Swift and Gilmore Girls references, and an MMC who falls first and harder.

Can I truly trust an author who chooses Team Jess over Team Logan? Never less, this book was so stinking cute! It was a combination of some of my favorite tropes: friends to lovers, single mom, famous in love, and fake dating. Lana Mae and Carter had the most adorable friendship even from them meeting, so I was so invested from the jump! However…I think I speak for all readers of this book when I say…WHICH CHRIS WAS IT???

I absolutely loved I Think He Knows. I received this as an audiobook ARC and I flew right through this. I did not read the first book, but I don't feel like it was needed. I loved the story between Lana Mae and Carter, an unfortunate way to meet but it all worked out for them in the long run. I love a friends to lover story and this one was so sweet and addictive. The narrators did a fantastic job bringing this story to life. I will definitely be reading more books by Katie Bailey.
Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for giving me the opportunity to listen and review it honestly.
Happy reading!

I loved book one in this world and while you definitely don't need to read it prior to I Think He Knows, I highly recommend it! Both reads are laugh out loud funny with relatable characters and hilarious high-jinx.
I Think He Knows follows single mother - Lana - who, after years of pinning for her famous best friend, has decided to finally date. Said best friend - Carter - who has (of course) been hopelessly in love with her the entire time, attempts to be supportive but can only pretend so much. Especially once the tabloids break the gossip that he is engaged to Lana.
Heartwarming and funny, this is a one sitting read and I highly recommend the audio version. Our narrators are perfect at capturing the hilarity of it all.
Read this book if you like:
- celebrity x single mother
- friends to lovers
- fake dating/fake engagement
- rom-coms
- Gilmore Girls references
I Think He Knows was released TODAY if it's not already on your tbr, it should be!

Special thanks to Dreamscape Media for sharing a free copy with me in exchange for my honest opinions.

This was a super swoony, kissing only, dual POV, friends to lovers, fake dating celebrity romance that is sure to get you in ALL the feels! Perfect for fans of authors like Sarah Adams and Emma St. Clair and soo good in its newly released audio format narrated by Avery Caris and Chris Ruen. While this could be read as a standalone it is the second book in the Donovan Family series and you may enjoy it more reading the first book before you pick up this one. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review!!
