Oh my days just wow, what have I just read. The authors has a way with storytelling that just grabs you from the start and doesn’t let go till the end.

OMG! The prologue! Absolutely chilling and that was me 100% invested in the story.

The story is is told across two timelines, by nineteen year old Casey, when she discovers a bound and gagged woman, held captive in her Boyfriend's family home, and by thirty four year old Casey, who is now a radio presenter.

When a caller to the radio station tells Casey that she is the only person who can save a young woman's life, she dismisses it as a prank call, but then a woman's body is found and Casey finds herself caught up in a sinister game with a calculating killer as her opponent.

The plot, the writing, the characters and the brilliant twists kept me gripped all the way through to the shocking ending. Another winner from Keri Beevis.

5 ⭐️ Thanks to Netgalley, Keri Beevis and Boldwood for an ARC in return for an honest review.

Discovering that your boyfriend's father is a serial killer has to be one of the most traumatic scenarios imaginable but when she testifies against him Casey feels free to put it all behind her and move on with her life. So when, years later someone is phoning into her radio show and taunting her with gruesome murders it has to be a coincidence, doesn't it?
This isn't as much an edge of your seat read as an edge of a precipice one. Every time Casey gets a call there is a timeframe that the police have to find the victim within so I found myself biting my lip constantly while waiting to find out if they would make it in time. The reason for the murders along with the identity of the killer stunned me. Not in my wildest imaginings would I have come up with this. And even then there is a further shock along with a cliffhanger ending. What more can you ask for.

Casey was just a teenager when she discovered that her boyfriend's father was a serial killer, she gave evidence against him and the boyfriend never forgave her.
Casey has moved on and is now a radio DJ, but when she starts getting calls giving her clues to solve murders, it appears that someone is out for revenge.

Words can't even convey how good this book was, I just couldn't read it quick enough! The characters are well written and I found myself totally behind Casey all the way.

Keri Beevis has such an incredible writing style that literally makes me feel on edge the whole time I'm reading her books! A rollercoaster ride of emotions, but one that I thoroughly enjoyed.

I am now working my way through her entire back catalogue.

My thanks to NetGalley and the Publishers for sending me this ARC in return for an honest review.

Casey discovers her boyfriend’s father (Steven) with a girl tied up while looking for her boyfriend. Steven ends up being sent to jail as a convicted serial killer. Her boyfriend’s family falls apart due to this and her boyfriend blames Casey for ruining his family. Casey already planned on breaking up with her boyfriend when she was looking for him (but discovered his father instead), but this was not the way she wanted to do it. Their relationship ends up falling apart. Casey ends up connecting with a police officer from the investigation, Finn. Casey makes a move on Finn, but he ends up having a girlfriend so all that leaves her is embarrassed.

Fast forward 15 years later Casey is an evening radio presenter. She moves in to a new apart and her neighbor ends up being Finn. Then, she gets a phone call that brings up the horrors of her past. There is a man that identifies himself as Steven that is threatening to kill a woman unless she does exactly as he says. Casey doesn’t follow instructions and finds out just how serious the man is. It can’t be Steven from her past as he’s still in jail. However, it’s too much of a coincidence to not be connected. We follow Casey and Finn as they try to uncover who is behind Casey’s torment.

My theories were constantly changing in this book. When it ended up being revealed who was behind everything, I was shocked. Then the book took me through one more loop and I ended up being even more shocked. I read a lot of thriller books, so it takes a lot for one to get me. This was one of those books that got me. It is a dark thriller with parts of romance. It was fast paced, and I was addicted early on. This thriller is worth the roller coaster read!

Thank you Keri Beevis, Boldwood Books, and NetGalley for the ARC of this book.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to read and review this book. This author really never disappoints. Another great page turner that grips you from the opening lines.
This is a great psychological thriller that is set up in two parts: the first, laying out all of the things that have happened to the main character (Casey) and the effects these events had on her and her life.
In the second part, Casey finds herself in the middle of a series of murders and she has to figure out what is going on and how it's all connected.
The plot twists and turns and the end is one you probably won't see coming! 4.5 and close to a 5!

Just when I thought I had it all worked out, I was wrong. This is quite a chilling read, it's tense and kept me on the edge of my seat. There are some really good twists. I really liked how the game of cat and mouse played out. I was pulled in from the prologue. Everyone was a suspect. The ending wasn't what I was expecting at all. I could not put this book down. I read it in one sitting. Every moment of this book is heart-stopping...but nothing will prepare you for the shocking and surprising twists that are to come! You may think you know what's going on but you don't...and when all is revealed, you will be left reeling. And then there is the epilogue...which is twisted on a whole other level.

I was hooked into the story right from the onset, when Casey turns up to surprise her boyfriend, only to find his father has a girl chained up in his basement. Fast forward fifteen years - the serial killer is behind bars, her boyfriend is no longer and Casey is working her dream job as a radio DJ. But then the calls and emails start and Casey's life is thrown into disarray....

Ok guys, this is another thriller recommendation from me - go and pick this book up! You won't know what to expect next with all the twists that are in this story. It's so fast paced and exciting, I can't rave about it enough. If you don't believe me, check out the Goodreads reviews - almost everyone has given it 5 stars. I am now looking forward to reading Kevi Beevis' back list. If all her books are like this one, I'll be over the moon.

On a trip home to break up with her smothering boyfriend Garrett at first she can’t find him then what she eventually does fine is his dad in the back house basement with the woman tied to the table. In trying to get away she wrecked her vehicle this is how she meets Fin Murphy. Fin is a new police officer and only a couple of years older than Casey he brings her to the station because she has no car after she is interviewed he brings her home when he realizes her ties to the family she can tell his true concern for her well-being and can’t help but think he is such a nice guy. So a few days later while hiding out at her aunts house Garrett finds her, he attempts to kidnap her thankfully a neighbor calls 999 and who shows up it’s Fin Murphy. It seems throughout the story on or off duty their pants keep crossing and she cannot deny her attraction to the policeman but after they had a falling out and guards dad was convicted of being a serial killer she eventually goes on with her life she works as a DJ at night and also has a sales job and does computer programming websites while at home in the new apartment she bought in the country. after what happened with Garrett she gets uncomfortable when the guy she is seeing what’s out to meet the family and so she has decided to play it safe and be single she has a little beagle named Phoebe who she brings to work with her but every now and then when coming home she feels like things are out of place and that someone has been in her apartment. It doesn’t help that one of her neighbors is very creepy if that wasn’t jarring to her system one of her best friends Ricky whistles at a hot guy walking his dog and although case he doesn’t see the guy it doesn’t take long for her to find out it’s none other than Fin Murphy it doesn’t help when she also gets to meet his friend with benefits Vicky and because of this she gives him the cold shoulder every time they meet but she assume she will be glad he is our neighbor especially when she starts getting creepy phone calls and strange things are happening. By the time she finds out who the new serial killer is in town she will be shocked and amazed but in his attempt to save her will Fin lose his life? I totally botched this whole review but OMG if the ending of this book doesn’t shock you then I think you’re just a lucky guesser because there is no way you’re going to figure it out.. Kerrie Beavis gets the most unsuspecting person makes them the killer and then makes it make sense this is why she is such a great thriller rider I love her books and highly recommend this one. I want to thank boldwoodBooks and Net Galley for my free arc copy please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.
