Some Kind of Blunderful was a great read! It reminded me of my favorite rom-com movies, and I loved this story and the characters so much!

Alex and Mia have an awkward and pretty bad first date after marching on a dating app. Both are relieved to go their sperate ways. However, they find out their lives are connected in other ways, and suddenly they see each other all the time.

I loved the dual POV and getting to see how Alex and Mia's mutual physical attraction slowly developed into more. They had great banter and chemistry, and it was easy to see why they fell for one another despite bad first impressions. I thought the story was well paced and fun to read with relatable and interesting characters, and I can't recommend it enough!

Where Mia has a wonderful relationship with her family Alex is just the opposite. I could have went without Mia and her father's fight at the end, but I suppose it just shows how protective parents are of their children...especially single father's with deceased wives. But I still didn't like him for a hot summertime Georgia minute there.

Absolutely loved the friendship's between Mia and Josie and Alex and Ezra. So supportive and fun.

Overall, this had some good banter and they had great chemistry. He was a little gung ho at the end there, but I didn't hate it.

I discovered Livy Hart when I got a Netgalley of Talk Flirty to Me and I LOVED it. It made me laugh, it had some spice, it had heart. I was thrilled to get Some Kind of Blunderful.

I will say, not sure I get the title. I get the pun, but don't really feel like there were lots of blunders throughout, but maybe that's just me.

Mia is a ball of sunshine. She takes care of everyone and likes being needed. Ever since her mom died, Mia has been the one to keep an eye on their dad, so she feels lots of feelings on his behalf, even when she only knows his side of the story. Alex was a hot lumberjack in a corporate suit grumpy character. His whole life had been about self preservation and has never been able to depend on anyone so it was nice to see him let his walls down a bit.

It was another fun read by Livy. I think it's safe to say she's an autobuy/read author for me. I have Planes, Trains and All the Feels sitting on my bookshelf and will have to push it up the TBR.

I LOVE a romance that doesn't have a third act break up!!! A third act fight/issue, sure, but an actual break up mostly due to miscommunication or lack of communication? Not here.

Alex and Mia are a great couple that I loved getting to read and learn about. They both have traumas and dramas from their past that bring in their own issues with their relationship but I think they handled everything well.

Honestly, the best part of this story was the number of times Mia and Alex just ended up at random places together and the way the both dealt with it. I laughed out loud more times than I can count.

This is definitely a spicy book and the spicy times were very nice. They didn't feel weird or awkward and sometimes in books, they just feel off but these were good.

I couldn't read this book fast enough. Livy Hart knows how to hook you. From her compelling characters to her immersive writing style, she will have you begging for more.

I went into this expecting a cute, fun read... and don't get me wrong, it was definitely both of those things, but it was so much more!
Mia and Alex's story took tropes we know and love like Mistaken Identity and Enemies to Lovers and gave them a fun spin, and the journey was excellent!
The spice, humor, and perfectly placed tension throughout this book make it a must-read for all rom-com lovers!

Our heroine, Mia, had several setbacks and blunders when it comes to relationships. After some egging by her best friend, she decides to give online dating a try and meets Alex. Whose profile, let's just say was more engaging and convincing then he was in person. After a disastrous first date, she hopes to forget their less than stellar date, when the unthinkable happens:
Their paths cross again.
And again.
And again.
This book was full of moments which made me groan and giggle, tender expressions and hot scenes.
Alex was a hard MMC to figure out, but I think Mia and him balanced each other out. They shared great banter, the build up was not conventional in the sense that they had a blunderful meet cute, which set them apart for a great while.
The longing and forbidden aspect of the story was thought-out, and I really enjoyed how whipped Alex became once he realized he's got something/someone to lose!
I think this book falls into the comedic romance category for me. There were parts I wished were more edited, re-considered from a structual standpoint, but I enjoyed Alex and Mia's love story immensely.

Livy Hart's writing sparkles in Some Kind of Blunderful! I really enjoyed Hart's first novel so I was excited to pick this one up to see if I continued to enjoy her work. I find Hart's style to be easily engaging, her plotting is clear, her characters are well developed, and her story is a fun escape and reminds be of watching a romantic comedy. Some Kind of Blunderful is a well paced romances that circles around the humor of dating hell and online profiles, so it feels relevant to today and how a lot of people fall in love. Hart then throws in some forced proximity, humor, tension, and some conflicting feelings to ramp up this entertaining journey to love. This book is a fun and enjoyable read that left me delighted and with a smile on my face! I would definitely recommend this novel to people who love romance's like The Hating Game and are looking for another author to explore!

I thought Some Kind of Blunderful was a funny, heart-warming, slow- burn good romance. I am new to this author and I will add her to my list.
I really liked the character Mia. I thought she was funny and likeable from the beginning. It took me longer to warm up to Alex. However, I did like his development through the course of the book. They had a fun banter with eachother along with a great build-up between them. The forbidden aspect where Mia felt she had to stay away to side with her dad is really what made the tension so believable. Actually, my heart tugged a bit for her dad as well. I'm a middle-aged reader so I've witnessed the dad's generation start to feel like they are being "put out to pasture." Mia's desire to protect her father because of it made me like her all the more.

Mia is a school teacher that is starting to date again after her fiance left her at the altar saying "I think we are not good for each other". Today's date: a gorgeous guy that has his bucket list as his profile information and unfortunately not worthy of her time, he was not only late but seemed ready to finish the date as soon as it started. Now add to this equation that he is her dad's new hot boss and the object of his disgust and her best friend is dating his best friend!

Needless to say... he is everywhere. And now, she's thinking about him and how inconvenient is to like him.

My first Livy Hart book and gosh it was good. I love a good enemies to lovers dislike to love romance and this one fit the bill to a tee. It had that romcom feeling to it and I totally was obsessing over every little thing when it came to how Mia and Alex began to how their relationship slowly grew and to how it was at the end of the book.
Mia and Alex had a not so great first date after they matched on a dating app and after that they kept running into each other. Alex is the new boss that Mia's dad can stop complaining about and their best friends are dating, so they are bound to keep meeting. This book is a story about even though a first date is a complete fiasco, fate sometimes has other plans in store for you.
Some Kind of Blunderful kept reminding me of so many romcoms I have watched in the past and that really sold it for me. The found family aspect of the book with Mia, Alex and their two best friends just made the book so enjoyable to me. I also loved the fact that Mia and Alex were complete opposites when it came to different parts of their lives such as family, job and views, but opposites attract right?

This was such a fun read and I loved the chemistry between Alex and Mia, as well as the banter. I think everyone loves the hot tub scene!

Amazing. So fun and all of the characters were ao likeable. I will read anything Livy Hart writes. She can write a laundry list or a grocery list and it would be literary genius.

This wasn't my favorite Livy Hart book but I did still enjoy it. Entertaining and steamy, this was a dual POV, forbidden romance with a lot of heart and humor. Good on audio with a fantastic cover. First of all I am new to this genre, having been sucked in by Fourth Wing then drifting over to Romance, so forgive my gushy review as I don’t have much to compare to! This was such a delightful story about Mia and Alex who have a horrible first date after matching on a dating app. Being that it takes place in a small town, they keep getting thrown together in various social settings. The main hindrance is that his job is to visit companies and overhaul the workplace - he ends up taking the management job that Mia’s dad wanted. When the two of them put two and two together, it only adds to the slow burn as they cannot deny their attraction, but Mia worries about her dad and his work situation. As this is a romance, the fun is seeing how these two people who started off so badly, will end up together. I definitely like the enemies to lovers trope as well as the slow burn – it kept me up until 2 in the morning on a worknight because I didn’t want to have to wait until after work the next day to finish it!

Some Kind of Blunderful brings a little bit of everything to the table- humor, drama and tension, and a good bit of angst. Kicking off the story with a bad date that easily makes you both cringe a bit and be thankful its not you- we transition into somewhat of a fate brings them together in a forbidden romance.

Mia and Alex are both characters that I enjoyed and felt were fleshed out in a great way. They have their weaknesses and are pretty self-aware at their shortcomings which is a refreshing change of pace when it comes to romance. There were a few times that I got frustrated with the lack of just speaking up and saying what they actually wanted but not so much that it took away from the enjoyment- I understood why they were both hesitant.

If you love your spice and steam, be prepared to be rewarded for that build-up of tension and pining for one another. The door is left wide-open for this one and some very choice locations are used for these scenes- it's well worth the angst.

Overall we've got a romance with characters that make us feel all the feels. They're relatable and real, filled with moments of awkward and confusion but also bliss and happiness. The conflict of Mia's dad was a bit of a cringe trope for me but I get that a lot of people will find this extremely relatable and it'll pull them deeper into the story

AHH, I just finished Some Kind of Blunderful by Livy Hart. Her romances never disappoint, and Blunderful is no exception.

Mia and Alex's first date, arranged through a dating app, is memorable--for all the wrong reasons. She thinks he stood her up, he overhears an embarrassing phone call, and then he once they finally sit down to eat, he realizes she's the daughter of a co-worker--a co-worker who doesn't like him very much. So after dinner, he makes a hasty exit, and she thinks that's that.

Until their friends, who are disgustingly in love with each other, set them up on a blind double date. They agree to play nice, since they know their paths will keep crossing. And cross they do--and each time, they have a harder and harder time denying their mutual attraction.

Until they stop denying it all together and jump in with both feet. And omg, when he adopts a puppy? I melted into a puddle. A handsome man with a puppy is my kryptonite.

Maybe it's just been awhile since I read her other two, but this one felt steamier than her previous romances. There are *multiple* open door scenes, and they're spicy.

I felt like the conflict was a little manufactured, but from a plotting perspective, I understand the need for an obstacle or a roadblock on their journey to happiness. I just wish this one had felt a bit more believable. Even if my dad really didn't like a co-worker, if I wanted to date that said co=worker, I'm pretty sure I'd do it and not feel at all bad about it.

At least there wasn't a true third-act breakup. There was a "beat" where they had to take a step back and assess, but they never truly broke up. That was a huge relief. I hate when drama is manufactured just for drama's sake.

This romance story thrives on the mundane-in the best way possible. Realistically, not every romance is going to include 5-star restaurants or hotel stays. Realistically, romance is in the every day. The family gatherings, the nights in, the food trucks, etc. I enjoyed the realistic aspects of this story.

Now.. is a random guy you meet on Tinder going to end up being your dad's boss and your best friend's new boyfriend's best friend? Probably not. But wouldn't that be fun? ;)

I had the best time reading this book. It was sweet and spicy. I'm already thinking of rereading it via audiobook. Livy Hart always hits it out of the park!
