Some Kind of Blunderful by Livy Hart is a quick and somewhat predictable romance with likable main characters. An enemies to lovers trope is always a fun read and this book delivers with the banter and tension. I really enjoyed this author's writing and look forward to reading more from her.

This was a great story. Mia and Alex got off the wrong foot when they met for the first time, but fate always threw them together. As they started to get to know each other, sparks started to fly between them. It was sexy when the air sizzled with their chemistry. I liked how Alex changed for the better because of Mia, from unlikeable to his true pretty amazing self. Mia’s reluctance to the relationship was understandable but it was amazing when she decided to become completely independent and not to please her father all the time, which was kind of cathartic for her.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me a copy of the book.

I couldn't read this book fast enough. Livy Hart knows how to hook you. From her compelling characters to her immersive writing style, she will have you begging for more.

Livy Hart’s last name tells you exactly what you’ll get when you pick up one of her books—writing that’s full of heart, along with beautifully crafted emotion and laugh-out-loud lines that beg to be highlighted. She delivers another knockout romance with Some Kind of Blunderful, crafting characters who are deeply real, sexy, and give perfect banter. Livy Hart is my favorite romcom author for a reason: she never misses.

Livy writes such fun and steamy rom coms! I really loved the enemies to lovers and slow burn as well as the banter. Thank you Entangled and Netgalley for my copy.

adore enemies to lovers, so I knew that this one by Livy Hart was going to be right up my alley. And I was right, because I enjoyed this one a bunch! It was a quick and easy read with some great banter and tension!
Mia and Alex were so fun to read. When they didn’t hit it off at first and then immediately set out to dislike each other, that’s the kind of back and forth I love, especially when it tips over into attraction!
The spice took a minute to build, but. When it did, it hit! The spice was good! 🔥
Overall, I liked this one and really enjoyed the side characters and the way the relationship between Alex and Mia progressed and I would definitely recommend.
Thank you to Livy Hart and Entangled Publishing for the review copy!

Hart does such a wonderful job of writing voice-y, banter-filled, steamy romcoms—in the truest sense of the word! I was rooting for these characters to end up together from the start, and watching them overcome their obstacles was a treat full of surprises along the way. I loved it!

4.5 Stars. Mia and Alex have a rough tinder date, followed by a rough blind date, followed by an awkward encounter at Alex’s work when Mia learns Alex is her dad’s new boss. As fate can’t keep these two apart they start to spend more and more time together and begin quietly dating. Given that Mia’s dad hates Alex due to issues at work the pair try to keep their relationship private, but both want to be able to move forward and be open with their friends and family about their relationship.
This was my second book by Livy Hart and I’ve enjoyed both of them. I had been struggling with another book and started this one on a whim and just flew through it. The writing was easy to read and the characters and their story were interesting. Both Alex and Mia, as well as their friends, feel like real people with real problems and emotions. I don’t love grand gestures in contemporary romances, but the one(s) in this book absolutely worked. I’m going to have to go back and read Livy’s other books.
Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I loved loved loved this book!
As a teacher, I loved the portrayal of teacher Mia. It was accurate of the trials and tribulations of teaching in 2023.
From a disastrous first date to continually crossing paths to giving into the temptation despite him being her dad’s hated boss, Livy Hart wrote a book that I couldn’t put down. The banter between Mia and Alex was top notch.

Although this book took a bit for me to get through because life hit me Although this book took a bit for me to get through because life hit me hard. I will say I really did enjoy this story.
The dynamic between the MCs was good, I loved all the side characters, and I even loved the addition of the sweet lil pup companion!

Alex and Mia meet on a dating app and things get awkward fast when they find out that Alex is Mia’s dads boss. They decide to keep away from each other but fate has other plans. I love forced proximity books and this one was fabulous! I loved all the awkward moments. Plus, It was funny and spicy - the best of both worlds!

I am sorry for the inconvenience but I don’t have the time to read this anymore and have lost interest in the concept. I believe that it would benefit your book more if I did not skim your book and write a rushed review. Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience

thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy. I really enjoyed this and will be getting copies for my shop.

What starts as a disastrous first date for Mia and Alex turns into a spicy slowburn in this forbidden, enemies to lovers romance between a pre-school teacher and a corporate fixer.
I love a good romance filled with lots of banter, and there were almost always moments of that sizzling between the two.
I would've liked them to have meaningful conversations without the follow-up sex; it kind of took away the authenticity of great chemistry. It's clearly not the worst thing because there were some very hot moments that I particularly enjoyed ;)
I also really adored the special relationship between father and daughter that made choosing love or family a big question on this love journey.
I think if you're looking for something fun and easy to get through, this would be a great read to pick up :)

Some Kind of Blunderful if a contemporary Romance following Mia and Alex perspectives. This story and the relationship was just fine for me. Very cute and heartwarming at times. I did like the introduction and how the two main characters met. It made for some great awkward moments, tension and there were definitely some compiling situations that left Mia and Alex in a tough spot.
I liked Alex, he really made an effort with Mia and I thought he was really judged unfairly by her. I would not say that this is enemies to lovers but they both had a strong dislike of each other at first, that slowly developed into more. I did like the development of their relationship, it was nicely paced and nothing was rushed. There was miscommunication in this book which is not something I am a fan of. This book was ok, there was nothing that I really disliked or loved. It was cute and easy read.
I received an ebook, via Netgalley. This review is my own honest opinion.

Online dating turned real life catastrophe when your latest horrid first date ends up being you fathers new younger boss. Que the awkwardness.
Slow burn
Dual pov
Family drama
Forbidden romance (dads boss)
Corporate vs teacher
Little bit of spice
I really enjoyed this quick romcom and can not wait to check out Livy’s other books!

This was an entertaining story. I liked both main characters of Mia and Alex and I loved watching them fall hard for each other while also trying to avoid each other.
I did feel like the book dragged at times. I also felt that the secret romance lasted a bit longer than I liked. I wanted to get to the action, and it took a really long time to get there.
If you love forbidden romances then you will love this story.

Oh I loved this book so very much! Mia and Alex's relationship was fraught from the very beginning. She's attracted to him on so many levels but doesn't want to be. After all, he's her father's new boss....the one he can't stand. How can this ever work? It can't...so she shouldn't pursue it, right? And Alex is of a similar mindset. He imagines Mia's father would like him even less than he already does if he found out he was seeing his daughter. The relationship has disaster written all over it. So why can't they stay away from each other? Chemistry....fate....all of the above. I was so invested in this couple that I could barely put this book down. It was such a fun read and I highly recommend it.
Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. I voluntarily chose to read and review it.

The chemistry between Alex and Mia was unreal and the tension was just AHHHH! This was definitely a slow burn but I was here for it. It was funny and sweet and definitely had me laughing at times. I highly recommend this one.
