Some Kind of Blunderful was such a delightful romantic comedy. I laughed, I felt for the characters, I really did cheer for Mia and Alex. The banter and tension were written so well. I absolutely enjoyed this one and will be recommending this to anyone who needs a somewhat light hearted but spicy read!
Thank you to Netgalley and Entangled Publishing for the opportunity to read this in exchange for my honest opinion.

3.5⭐️ This was a quick and fast paced read which I appreciated. However, there was a lot of miscommunication initially, which I do not like, and I did not like how either of our main characters handled the third act conflict.

Livy Hart is a new to me author that I've discovered in 2023. I have devoured all of her books and am so excited to see what else she creates in the future. I loved how Mia and Alex tried to resist each other, especially after every awkward encounter. Alas, fate had other plans. The chemistry between these two was off the charts, and I loved the protectiveness of Mia's family. This will go down as one of my top 2023 reads!

I thought this was a very cute story. I liked the sparks and tension that Alex and Mia generate. The laughs are ample and there is a whole lot of fun to be had as this engaging romance unfolds.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters always feel real when it comes to the author books. I think it flowed wonderfully and the smut didn’t take away from the overall narrative of the book.

I found myself feeling bad for the characters but at the same time I found myself laughing throughout it. I love when a book makes me not only laugh but makes me want to cry all at once.

Some Kind of Blunderful by Livy Hart
4/5 Stars
Release Date: September 25th
Thank you Livy Hart and Entangled Publishing for my advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

The title of this book is what caught my eye, it’s a play on a really good song and one of my favorite movies from the 80s, Some Kind of Wonderful. Plus, the plot sounded cute, so I knew I had to read it.

Mia and Alex meet on a semi-blind date and things immediately go poorly. Miscommunication and nerves get in the way of attraction, and then they realize that Alex is Mia’s Dad’s new boss. All of this adds up to the two of them being totally unsuited for the other. But that doesn’t stop them from being thrown into situations together and the attraction only grows stronger. Maybe getting to know each other isn’t such a bad deal at all?

I definitely enjoyed reading this one. It’s a traditional romcom, but one that is well written. I loved the character of Mia, and really enjoyed the chapters that were from her perspective. I felt their attraction was organic, and the conflict was grounded in reality. I would recommend this to anyone who is a romcom lover like myself!

After a dismal (at best) first date Mia and Alex both decide to never see the other again. Too bad the universe has other plans. This is a funny fast read. Watching these to characters get thrown together and try not to like each other was beyond enjoyable. I also enjoyed the side characters and loved Mia’s relationship with her family

This was very cute. It's basically a series of tragically awful meet cutes stand one each other's shoulders. If you can laugh at those, you're in for a good time. The relationship between Alex and Mia is charming and fun. The work relationship between Alex and Mia's dad is confusing. They are the couple I'm begging to just talk it out in this one. A light, fun read, with a bit of problematic power dynamics, but not between the main couple.

What happens when the new boss at your dad's job happens to be your blind date over and over again? The same boss that your dad complains about all of the time. Livy Hart does an EXCELLENT job at telling the story of Mia who tries to ignore Alex, or Conroy (to Mia's dad), but cannot stay away due to fate. This book has enemies to lovers, slow burn, puppies, and kiss cams. This was such a cute and SPICY read. Once I started going, I could not stop reading. I will have to read more of Livy's work!

We have Alex (who is a workaholic, who travels a bunch doesn't stay in one place long and has family issues that you will hear all about) and Mia (who is a small-town girl, loves her job and town and also is super close to her family which is important to her) so as you see these two are def opposites.

The trope of this book is adorable. They first met off of a dating app and the date didn't go well at all. but this is not the last time that they will see each other (as in "dates') and def not on purpose. They have a love-hate kind of relationship. They are def drawn to each other even though they rub each other the wrong way. This leads to so many fun adventures. oh, and you know how much I said that family means to Mia well her dad definitely does not like Alex, oh just wait til you get to that part of this story. Soooo interesting and so much fun to see it all play out. Also, their friends play a role in them also.

There are sooo many reasons for these 2 not to be together but fate has a different play.
I loved this book so much, so much fun I couldn't put it down. Never a dull moment with each of their encounters.

This is def a must-read book if you like rom-coms. No review will do this book justice.

I am so glad to have been able to read this book ARC, thanks to the publisher and NetGalley. The above review is my own, honest and voluntary.

Mia Madden is pretty sure that the road to dating app hell is paved with suspiciously hot profiles. Take tonight’s date, for example. Alex Conroy is unreasonably gorgeous—he’s got that whole “board-room in the streets, lumberjack in the sheets” happening—but he also represents everything she loathes about corporate hustle culture. Yet another lousy date to laugh-cry about later. Only, it turns out that Alex isn’t just her dad’s much-younger new boss, but their respective best friends are dating. Suddenly Mia and Alex are constantly thrown together, whether it’s a blind date, a double date, or they’re having to mingle at her dad’s company picnic. Not awkward at all. Now Mia is in a romantic comedy of errors nightmare, where she’s inadvertently dating a guy she can’t stand—and hoping her dad never finds out.

______________

Sweet, sexy, awkward - this is a dating hot mess and I’m here for it! So much fun, I loved this one.

If you're a romcom fan like me, this one is a must to add to your bookshelf! Livy Heart's latest is endearing, swoony, and all the enemies to lovers goodness. I adored Mia with her quirky streaks and how she pulled Alex out of his shell a bit. Definitely a must read!

Thank you to NetGallery for this ARC. I really loved Livy Hart’s Planes, Trains and All the Feels, which came out this summer, so I jumped at the chance to read this book. Another enemies to lovers story, it has all the elements that I loved from Planes: cheeky best friends, supportive siblings, and vulnerable MCs who were willing to allow themselves to grow.

Mia is a preschool teacher, born and raised in the small town of Avondale, Georgia. After being basically left at the altar by her high school sweetheart, she is trying to jump back into the dating pool and find her soulmate. Alex is a management consultant who is on the fast track, he doesn’t stay in places long and he isn’t into relationships. After a disastrous first date, Mia and Alex decide it will be best if they never see each other again, but the joys of small town life mean they keep running into each other and each time, the attraction they can’t seem to hide, grows.

Livy Hart writes excellent steamy books, though she always makes me nervous people are going to find the MCs In flagrante!! Her characters are dealing with everyday issues and are extremely relatable (aging parents, work/life balance, money struggles, deep love of Benihana and shots). At this point, I will happily read anything she writes!

This was actually a really cute story. I am such a sucker for a story with strong family dynamic and this one had it in there. If you’re wanting a slow burn, this has it. However, once the spicy hits..It definitely hits!!

I really enjoyed both MC’s. Mia and Alex both working through personal things and be able to over come them to move forward. Though the chemistry wasn’t right at the beginning, their chemistry that developed was really amazing. They also had great banter.

This was my first Livy Hart book and it won’t be my last!

This was delightful!
Some Kind of Blunderful is a sweet, sexy and oh so fun rom-com that I had such a hard time putting down! I would have finished it much sooner if my toddler hadn't been sick.

Mia and Alex had a disastrous first date and she never wants to see him again. Turns out, luck is not on her side. Alex just so happens to be her fathers new - much disliked - boss and to make matters worse, their best friends are dating.
As the two of them keep getting thrown together, they start to reluctantly - on both parts - get to know each other and soon find that the attraction is too hard to resist.

I absolutely adored Alex and Mia. From their first meeting I was excited to see how their story would play out and it did not disappoint. The chemistry and banter between them was SO GOOD.
I loved the epilogue, it was the perfect ending to an incredibly fun read!

This book is absolutely delightful from start to finish. Livy Hart has such an incredible knack for writing romcoms, it amazes me. Her writing is sharp and witty, but also so soft and vulnerable. Some Kind of Blunderful is a real pleasure in part because its characters feel so normal -- I could imagine this scenario playing out in many cities around the country at any given time. Mia and Alex are sweet characters with a lot to learn, and they match so wonderfully with such fun chemistry that I was hooked from page 1.

I was already a Livy Hart fan, and this one just might be my favorite!
