She's Not Sorry by Mary Kubica was a great suspenseful thriller. The story is told in two parts. Part 1 started slow as you learned the characters and some of their struggles, but Part 2 was really where the story picked up. There are twists you won't see coming and untrustworthy characters everywhere you look. I definitely recommend this for a good mystery to read this summer!

Highly recommend this thriller!!! Grips you throughout and keeps you guessing until the very end. Suggested for our book club and it was a crowd pleaser. Definitely earned this five-star rating!
Thank you Mary Kubica, Harlequin Trade Publishing and NetGalley for this ARC opportunity!

I’ve read almost every book from Mary Kubica, and is one of my favorite thriller authors.
I love that I never figured out what was going to happen next, an all the twists and turns were super exciting.

She's Not Sorry is a gripping psychological thriller that pulls you in from the very first page and doesn't let go. Mary Kubica delivers a suspenseful, emotionally layered story centered around a nurse, Meghan, who gets drawn into the mystery behind a comatose patient found at the base of a bridge.
The hospital setting adds an extra layer of tension, and Kubica does a great job weaving together Meghan’s personal struggles as a single mother with the unraveling secrets of the patient’s past. As Meghan digs deeper, what she uncovers is far from what anyone expected.
What I loved most is how Kubica keeps you guessing. Just when you think you know what’s going on, she throws in another twist. The pacing is fast without feeling rushed, and the characters feel real and flawed in all the right ways.
While some plot elements require a bit of suspension of disbelief, the emotional stakes and psychological tension make up for it. If you enjoy thrillers with strong female leads and unexpected twists, this one is worth adding to your TBR.

A sharp, emotionally charged thriller about a nurse who becomes entangled in a mystery after one of her comatose patients starts to show signs of trauma. With tight pacing and Kubica’s signature slow-burn reveals, this one questions how well we know the people we care for — or ourselves.

This was not a book for me. I think for the right audience it would be a really good read bf phenomenal thriller just not me in particular.

This book was so good!
I generally read all of Kubica’s books, so I knew I would pick this one up. In this one, we are following an ICU nurse as she takes care of a patient who jumped from the rails of the L train. As the story develops, we discover that it might be as straightforward as it sounds.
There was a beautiful twist at the end of part one that made me gasp out loud, and as the story continued, Kubica gave us a couple more surprises. There was one twist that I saw coming, but it didn’t take away from the reading experience. I really enjoyed this one!

Thank you for allowing me to read this book early. I enjoyed this story and found it hard to put down. It started slow but then got twisty! I did want more at the end. I have a few questions. Overall a good thrilling read.

Mary Kubica does it again. I’ve read every one of her books and She’s Not Sorry reminded me exactly why I keep coming back—tense, twisty, and full of emotional depth. This one follows Meghan, a hospital nurse who gets pulled into the mystery surrounding a young woman who may or may not have jumped from a bridge. What starts as quiet concern slowly unravels into something darker and more dangerous, and Kubica builds the suspense with such a careful, steady hand.
I loved how layered this story was—not just the mystery itself, but the way Meghan’s personal life and past traumas wove into the main plot. There’s a constant undercurrent of dread, the kind that makes you question every character’s motives, including the narrator’s. And true to form, there were reveals I did not see coming.
This isn’t just a page-turner—it’s a smart, emotionally rich thriller that makes you think about guilt, forgiveness, and how far people will go to protect the ones they love. Kubica fans will not be disappointed.
Thank you to NetGalley and Park Row Books for the advanced copy!

Mary Kubica excels in writing unreliable narrators and this book is no exception. This was a fast-paced thriller as secrets slowly unravel - a twist I did not see coming!

I like Mary Kubica’s writing and stories. While not my favorite of hers, I did enjoy the twists in this one.

Gripping from the first page, She’s Not Sorry is a chilling thriller that pulled me in and didn’t let go. A single mom ICU nurse, a mysterious patient with a traumatic brain injury, and a secret that could destroy everything—this story had twists I didn’t see coming. As the mystery unraveled, so did the danger, and I was holding my breath until the final page. Dark, fast-paced, and impossible to put down.

I was unable to read this book before publication so will not be posting public reviews until I do. As soon as I am able to read it, I will update this feedback.
I am leaving a 4 star rating because NetGalley requires it and I have enjoyed other books by this same author.
Thank you for the opportunity to read this book.

Another great work by Mary Kubica. I was immediately drawn into the book and couldn't wait to get to the twists. This is one of those books where I couldn't wait to get home and keep reading to find out what happens. Highly recommend.

Mary Kubica never disappoints! I love a thriller that keeps me guessing right up to the very end, and this one lived up. It was a fast paced, easy, quick read and I’d recommend it to anyone who likes Lisa Jewell, Megan Miranda, and Shari LaPena.

I will read anything Mary Kubica writes. She never disappoints and her books are always well paced and exciting, this one was no exception. It was super suspenseful and Meghan was a very dynamic character. Thank you Park Row and NetGalley for this ARC!

Oh man, what a great read by Kubica! Entertaining, has a medical aspect I personally enjoy, and the twist is one for the books!

Twisty popcorn thriller set in Chicago with an ICU nurse, Megan trying to figure out why her patient attempted suicide. Morally grey and deeply suspicious character abound. Thanks to NetGalley and Park Row for an advanced copy for an honest review.

When I saw that Mary Kubica had a new book I was so excited to read it and it truly did not disappoint.
Meghan is an ICU nurse and a single mom with a daughter. She has a new patient, Caitlin, who is in a coma with a traumatic brain injury. Meghan appears to have jumped off a bridge, but upon further investigation she might have been pushed. Meghan doesn't usually get invested in her patients, but with Caitlin she just can't help herself. However, soon she realizes she or her daughter could possibly be the killer's next victim.
She's Not Sorry was so fantastic. The characters are well written and you can't help but like them. Not to mention there were at least 2 major jaw dropping twists that I just loved. I couldn't put this book down! Another win for Mary Kubica, who is now officially an auto-buy author for me!

She's Not Sorry by Mary Kubica is a very thrilling and suspenseful rollercoaster of a novel that kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Kubica skillfully builds tension from the very beginning, slowly unraveling secrets, lies, and unexpected twists that had me you questioning everything. The suspense is relentless and kept me engaged the whole time.
The novel also explores deep themes of morality and the complexities of relationships. The characters, particularly Jessica, are morally ambiguous, which makes their actions and decisions both fascinating and troubling. Kubica doesn’t shy away from examining the gray areas of right and wrong. The relationships in the book—whether familial, romantic, or platonic—are intricate and real, filled with both love and betrayal. These dynamics are at the heart of the novel, adding great emotional depth and resonance to the fast-paced, twist-filled plot. I highly recommend this book.
