*the formatting of this arc was done if the quest ur ever seen in an ARC so much so that it took away from the storyline at times

This book was promising but Kubica did not nail this and the MC was just too unbelievable in her actions and choices. Didn’t she think it was weird she was always just running into the same people on the street? There were multiple storylines and hard to really see what direction the mystery was going in. Although I was surprised that one if the storylines was actually being told from the past it wasn’t done all that well. For instance, Kill For Me Kill For You by Cavanaugh completely nailed a similar sneaky timeline in an incredible twist. And speaking of twists…I really hung in there with this book because I thought by the end it would all come together and make it less implausible but that was not the case. There were also many characters left up in the air. The weird parents? The brother? The roommate and the former boss? I would recommend this to people newer to the thriller genre but to an experienced thriller redder I would not.

This was not one of Mary Kubica's best, but was a good read. I think it makes for a good winter read.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. Opinions are my own.

Mary Kubica always delivers a suspenseful story with characters you want to follow no matter how tragic the tale. I have read all of her books to date and will continue to do so!

I'm unsure how I feel about "She's Not Sorry." On one hand, I was engaged in the story because I kept wondering when something significant would happen and who the person was that wasn't sorry. On the other hand, the pacing was slow, and much of the story didn't seem to focus on the main plotline.

We spend a lot of time in the hospital discussing a woman who is in a coma after jumping off a bridge. While the plot twist regarding her situation blew my mind, we reached the "conclusion" of that storyline halfway through the book. After that, I couldn't help but think about where the next twist was, but it never came; that was it.

Interestingly, another plotline, which I initially thought was a minor side story, ended up being the main focus that wrapped up fairly quickly at the end. However, it wasn't particularly shocking. So, while the story was engaging because I kept wanting more, I was ultimately left feeling confused.

I finished She's Not Sorry months ago, but just realized that I neglected to write the review. I was given a review copy of the book by NetGalley and the publisher, but the decision to review was all my own.

Mary Kubica is a good mystery thriller writer with the right blend of suspense and character development. Meghan Michaels is a single mom with a full time career as an ICU nurse. She ends up taking care of a patient with suspicious circumstances surrounding her injury. As the answers lead to more questions, will Meghan and her daughter end up in danger?

She's Not Sorry has a good main character and main story, but the side plots and characters are not as successful for me. Suspense writers sometimes add a lot of side plots as misdirection, as is the case here. This just muddies the waters for me and does nothing to help the book move forward. Overall, I enjoy Mary Kubica's books and look forward to reading more by this author.

I really enjoy Mary Kubica's novels and this one also didn't disappoint. While some aspects of the plot were hard to believe, overall, the storyline was fast paced, exciting and really a blast to read. I would recommend this book!

**4-Star Review:**

*Everyone has secrets, but not everyone has remorse…* is a gripping and suspenseful thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The story follows Meghan Michaels, an ICU nurse juggling life as a single mother, who becomes unexpectedly entangled in a mysterious and dangerous situation when a patient named Caitlin is brought in after a tragic fall. What initially seems like a suicide attempt quickly spirals into a web of secrets, lies, and potential crimes.

The author does a fantastic job of building tension, especially as new revelations about Caitlin’s fall emerge. Meghan’s growing involvement in the mystery, coupled with the growing threat to her and her daughter, adds a layer of personal stakes that makes the story even more compelling. Meghan is a relatable and well-developed character, and her emotional investment in Caitlin’s case is palpable.

The pacing of the novel is spot on, with just enough twists and turns to keep readers hooked. The suspense builds slowly and steadily, leading to a climactic and satisfying conclusion. However, the book doesn’t entirely avoid some predictable moments, and the characters occasionally make decisions that feel a bit too driven by plot rather than realistic behavior. Despite these minor flaws, the overall experience is highly enjoyable.

*Everyone has secrets* is a tense, emotionally charged read that will appeal to fans of psychological thrillers and mysteries. It’s a fast-paced ride with well-drawn characters, making it a solid choice for anyone looking for a compelling, edge-of-your-seat read.

Mary Kubica delivers another riveting psychological thriller with She’s Not Sorry. The story hooks you from the very beginning with its intriguing premise and gradually builds tension as secrets unravel. Kubica masterfully creates a complex and suspenseful atmosphere, keeping readers guessing throughout.

The characters are well-developed, and their flaws make them feel realistic and relatable. While the pacing is steady, there are bursts of shocking revelations that push the story forward and make it difficult to put the book down. The twists, especially near the end, are satisfying and cleverly executed, though a few plot points might feel slightly rushed.

Overall, She’s Not Sorry is a captivating read for fans of domestic thrillers and psychological suspense. Kubica’s ability to weave mystery and emotional depth together ensures this book is both entertaining and thought-provoking. A solid addition to her repertoire!

Thank you Harlequin Trade Publishing and NetGalley for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

I got about 35% in and I just seem to be putting this book down and not picking it back up. I normally have a decent time with Mary Kubica and her writing, which is the reasoning for my rating. I just struggled with this story and the feeling of predictability with this one.

Thank you Park Row books for the ARC.

3.5 stars. This was a pretty fast paced thriller that was fun to read. I was surprised by most of the twists, but my main issues were with the timeline (confusing after one of the twist reveals) and with characters occasionally acting entirely nonsensically. I have had this issue with a few others of Kubica’s books, but they’re still always fun and engaging!

4 stars- Mary Kubica consistently surprises me with her novels. Everytime I think i know where its going, POOF! A completely different direction. Thanks netgalley & the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

this is the story of an ICU nurse Meghan who get a new patient, Caitlin, who everyone says tried to commit suicide by jumping off the bridge.

Meghan get close to Caitlin‘s parents, and meanwhile, she is also reunited with her high school friend Nat and both of them has been divorced.

Meghan tries to help Nat who is in an abusive marriage, but Nat is afraid.

This book was so entertaining and gripping. I was completely invested in the story and the plot twist caught me off guard, which I appreciate in a thriller book.

However, there was one more mystery plotline going on in the background, and I did not care that much how it was handled at the end.

overall, this was an engaging thriller, and I enjoyed my time reading this book. I would definitely recommend it.

This was not a love for me. I felt like there was SO MUCH going on that just was not relevant to the story or ended up just being a plot hole or something I didn’t need to invest in but had questions about.

Meghan Michaels takes her ICU job seriously. Perhaps too seriously in the case of one of her new patients named Caitlin. Caitlin has suffered a brain injury and Meghan becomes very involved in her case. Meanwhile, a singe mother to a teenager, and also very worried about her friend Nat, Meghan’s plate is very full.

This is classic Kubica! Thrilling in every regard, because it is not a domestic thriller. In fact, there is a rapist in town and more than one life could be in jeopardy. So, this is indeed a psychological thriller that will no doubt leave the reader guessing. Whether it is the pacing, the shocking twists, or the riveting conclusion, She’s Not Sorry is a book you won’t want to miss.

Many thanks to Park Row Books and to Edelweiss for this ARC to review in exchange for my honest opinion.

I love Mary Kubica and her suspenseful thrillers. There is always a wonderful twist and the writing is great. However this novel did not hit as well with me. The first half of the novel had the anxiety producing effect with the main character being concerned around every bend. However this was almost to the point of you wondered how the character even lived her life worrying about every step she took outside of her home. It was a little overdone to me. The ending of the book was also not very satisfying to me, I won’t elaborate as I don’t want to give anything away. While it was a good book, I do not feel it is Kibica’s best effort:
