Mary Kubica has done it again!! I’m definitely NOT SORRY that I binged this book.
This was such a twisty thriller that had my jaw dropping several times. Multiple story lines were weaved together seamlessly. And the pace was fast while keeping me engaged throughout.
Read if you want-
🖤A Bingeable Read
🖤A Twisty & Thrilling Suspense
🖤Unpredictable Story

This book grabbed me from the beginning and I didn’t want to put it down! I am a nurse and thought Mary Kubica did very well on her nursing research! I loved all the twists in the end, but I wish it gave a more definite ending.
Thank you Mary Kubica, Harlequin Trade Publishing, and NetGalley for the ARC!

She's Not Sorry follows an ICU nurse, Meghan Michaels. While at work, Meghan becomes responsible for a patient who has suspectedly committed suicide. Her patient Caitlin arrives in a coma after suffering a traumatic brain injury after jumping off a bridge.
Soon, a witness comes forward with shocking details of Caitlin and the investigation changes. Was Caitlin pushed, and by who?
Meghan has a hard time being emotionally unattached to this patient and wants to find out more information. But she realizes that she and her own daughter could be the next victim.
Thoughts:
I honestly had no idea where the plot was going here until 72%.
I think we dug to deep into the background of being a nurse it took over a lot of the plot/mystery.
I had a hard time connecting to any of these characters or understanding their rationale.
The language for domestic violence was odd.
I'm was still confused about other characters' involvement and importance by the end.

I really enjoyed this book! It immediately sucked me in and I finished it in less than 24 hours. There were some good twists (though one was a little predictable) and I liked how things were revealed as the book went on. It reminded me a little bit of Local Woman Missing by the same author, which I also enjoyed.
I do think the ending was a little rushed and felt a bit unfinished, and one of the side plots didn’t really add much to the story for me. But overall, the story kept me engaged the entire time and I think this book would appeal to both newer and long-time thriller readers, especially those that like morally grey characters, secrets, and complex relationships.
*Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing an eARC for review!*

3.5 stars! Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin trade publishing for the e-ARC of She’s Not Sorry.
This slow burn thriller by Mary Kubica follows Meaghan Michael’s, an ICU nurse caring for her patient, Caitlin Beckett, who is believed to have jumped off a pedestrian bridge. Caitlin’s parents trust Meaghan and share secrets from her past. Her coworker Luke, has his own doubts about The Becketts and everything changes once new evidence is revealed.
I enjoyed reading this book but it took me a while to get into it. Although the pace definitely picks up in part two, I wasn’t captivated from the beginning. However, the twist and turns in the second part of the book kept me on my toes and a lot of them I never saw coming. It felt as though the second part felt rushed at times and I wish the crimes that took place were more elaborate.

I really enjoyed this book. This book kept me guessing the entire time. I enjoyed the main character and how she navigated the story. I kept having predictions on what I thought happened but I did not see it coming!

I loved this book! I have enjoyed everything written by Mary Kubica. She has a way of keeping you hooked and not wanting to put your down until you have finished the book! I love the twist at the end! 5 stars from me.

4.5 stars rounded up.
Okay I’m going to start by saying I love anything medical thriller wise. She’s Not Sorry was awesome- grabbed attention from the beginning and has you wondering until the very end.
Mary Kubica did a great job with this book, my only complaint is there does seem to be a lot going on in this story. Lots of important characters and events all intertwining to mesh into the main character’s life. Some parts seemed far fetched even for a suspenseful thriller - especially the parts regarding medical negligence- but I probably only care because I am a nurse.
Either way, I definitely recommend. You’ll want to breeze through this in a day. She’s Not Sorry by Mary Kubica will be published on April 2, 2024. Thank you to Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

First let me say that Mary Kubica is a wonderful author! I really enjoyed this book. You will not guess what really happened to Caitlin. It was so well written that you keep saying one more chapter. Read this book if you have a chance too!

Another amazing read by Mary Kubica. Everytime I think I know what's going to happen next... I'm wrong. So excited that I was able to read her book early through NetGalley.

This has to be Mary Kubica's best book to date. It has a wonder clinically creepy setting. Meghan is working when Caitlyn shows up after jumping off a bridge in what appears to be a suicide attempt or was it? Meghan tries unsuccessfully to keep her distance but ends up getting roped into the patient's life after learning some disturbing information from the family. This book has two different stories going at once. It has a few nice surprises and all the twists you expect from this author.

This books pacing felt a bit too slow for a thriller/suspense, adding additional details about surroundings or character actions that weren't really necessary to the overall storyline. The writing style is still nice/easy to read. The story picked up at about 30% in for me, then I was hooked. I had my suspicions about who the killer was, but I didn't expect the twist and that definitely redeemed it!
⭐ 3.5/5

One of my favorite authors hits it out of the park again with a fantastic read that left you guessing all the way to the end.

This book was a slow burn that led to a WILD ride! I loved the build up of the store, the medical setting, and the characters.
There were so many twists and things happening in the story, that in the end it seemed a bit rushed through.. leaving questions unanswered for me.
I loved the twist with Caitlin, but did not love the second character twist of the story. I felt like that came a bit out of nowhere and did not add much to the overall story. I would have rather had a deeper look into the Caitlin drama.
Overall this was a super fast read and I would definitely recommend it to thriller fans!

Another fantastic read by Mary Kubica! This was so thrilling and fast-paced. I loved the plot and the characters. So many twists and turns!
This book will be published April 2, 2024!
Thank you to Harlequin Trade Publishing and Netgalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review!

Oh, Mary Kubica does it again. This book was SO twisted in the very best ways. The plot (set in Chicago) held many layers and immediately drew me in--the sign of a good book and a great storyteller.

I rated this thriller a 5/5 stars. I read it in two days, it was fast paced and when I got to part two it really had me going. I thought I had Luke figured out and O kind of did but not fully. The twists were so good and unexpected. I love the wondering Mary Kubica leaves us with at the end and just the whole entanglement of all the characters.

Always love diving into a Mary Kubica book! She’s Not Sorry is a great twisty tale. Meghan is a nurse just trying to get through life. When a patient comes in after sustaining injuries in a fall, it’s business as usual. Until a witness implies she was pushed. Meghan can’t let it go, leading to danger for her and everyone in her life.

What the?! There are two major twists in this book. One I called right from the beginning, the other one I didn’t see coming whatsoever. I definitely think this will be a big hit this year.
The only downside is I did find it a bit slow, nothing really happened until 70% of the way through.

⭐4.5
I don't often read thrillers and this was the second one I picked up this month. The way this story was told was levels more incredible. The story retained my attention from the very first sentence to the last. This story has so many different mysteries that cleaned up so nicely and didn't really leave me with too many lingering questions or the feeling unsatisfied with the turnout.
