Mary Kubica a favorite of mine and a must read author. She does it again with She's Not Sorry. I will say I was able to figure out the "big twist" about 3/4 of the way through, but she kept the hits coming with twists that I did not see.
Meghan is balancing her life of being an ICU nurse and caring for a severely injured patient with being a newly divorced single mom of a teenage daughter.
Meghan also lives in the busy Chicago area where there is an active predator on the loose.
Meghan's patient has survived what is believed to be an attempt to take her own life but has a traumatic brain injury, that is until a witness comes forward to say they believe they saw her patient being pushed.
She works hard to keep her work life and home life separate but sometimes it isn't that easy.

WOW is all I can say! The suspense, the twist and turns, the unexpected, just wow. This book kept my on my toes the entire time, and I even had to go back at points in the book because I truly didn’t see these twists coming! This book was such a delight to read, and I give it 5 stars for sure!!!! I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good suspense novel.

3.75 Characters were good. Storyline was decent. Multiple twist to keep you going throughout. Certainly well written and got your heart pumping to see where it was going at a few turns. No lack of villains and lots of characters who will make you think about what really makes a villain and what are actions you too could make to keep yourself or your family safe.

She’s Not Sorry is another brilliantly written pulse-pounding, edge of your seat, captivating and bingeable thriller from Mary Kubica! MK is one of my all time favorite authors and an auto read/buy for me. I’ve truly loved all of her books but this one might be my favorite yet! I flew through this one and could have binged it all in one sitting if I’d had the time. It kept me guessing and on my toes throughout the entire book and the perfectly timed craziest twists yet will keep your attention and hooked. You’ll be guessing if the stories and mysteries sprinkled throughout the book are connected or not and the ending made my head spin. I absolutely love MK’s writing style and will of course always read whatever she puts out. 5 well deserved stars!
Thank you so much to NetGalley and HTP/Park Row books for my early digital copy for my honest thoughts and review!

When I tell you that every word of this book is important to the story, I. AM. NOT. KIDDING. I was hooked right away from the beginning. The story is immediately catching, starting with Meghan an experienced ICU nurse, recently divorced with joint custody of her 16 year old daughter, Sienna. A patient in the ICU who jumped from a bridge to commit suicide. Meghan, initially hesitant to take care of this patient because of her own family history with suicide finds herself becoming her main nurse. Making quick relations with the parents and searching for answers about who she was.
There are other characters and struggles happening in Meghans world that she is navigating on top of this very intense patient situation. Many mysteries to figure out along the way; keeping you on the edge of your seat. I often found my heart racing anticipating what was to come. I am not joking when my jaw DROPPED at the twist. I really did not see that coming. The story goes through a whirlwind and it only makes you want to read faster to find out what the heck is going on!
I 100% recommend this read! Especially if you like psychological thrillers, ICU/nursing stories, and nail biting anticipation, definitely pick up Mary Kubica's newest thriller, it will not disappoint.
Thank you NetGalley, Harlequin Trade Publishing and the author for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

4.5 ⭐️ My first Mary Kubica book and it did not disappoint! It was very intriguing right from the start. Although, I will say it kind of felt a little slowish in the beginning but at the same time I felt like it was necessary because it was a lot of story building. I will say that the details kept me wanting to know more about how everything will come together in the end. It had suspenseful moments where I was on the edge of my seat and everything you want in a thriller. The chapters weren't too long which I appreciated so much. There's a lot of twists and turns but on one of the twists my mouth literally dropped. :0
such an enjoyable read and can't wait to read more from her!

Kubica will always be an insta-read for me. I felt like this one took me longer to get into but I really loved the twists and turns. Kubica always knows how to write a killer thriller!

🌉 She’s Not Sorry by Mary Kubica OUT APRIL 2ND🌉
Thank you NetGally and Park Row for the advanced copy!
You know when you start a book
And you just know it’s going to be a good one? Well thats how I feel about Mary Kubica newest novel and I can’t stop thinking about it. I was hooked from the start!
Meghan is an ICU nurse who is recently divorced and trying to be a single mom to her teenage daughter. Her newest patient, Caitlin, is in a como after she tried to jump off a bridge. As Meghan gets close with Caitlin’s parent, they start to wonder if Caitlin williningly jumped or if she was forced off that bridge.
I don’t want to give too much away because I feel like it’s best to go into this story blind. This was such a page turner that I finished it in two days. My favorite part about this one is that the ending MADE SENSE. So many times in thrillers the ending is so far fetched but this one had surprises while having the whole story come together. Mary Kubica is definitely an auto read author for me now!! Everyone should make it a priority to read this one when it comes out in April. 5 out of 5 ✨

I have enjoyed many books by Mary Kubica over the years and this was no exception! It was her typical fast-paced thriller that kept me hooked the entire read. The twist was fantastic, and I did not see it coming. If I have to be nit picky, some of the side stories were a little underdeveloped. I didn't love the character dynamics between Meghan, Sienna, and Ben, but I see why some of it was important to the greater story. Altogether, highly recommend for fans of Mary Kubica (I know there's a lot out there)! Because this was just as good as her previous books. It did not disappoint!
Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for the ARC!

Loved this mystery thriller! Mary Kubica's story telling never seems to disappoint! I've already recommended it to multiple people who have preordered it!

This book felt to me like two separate books. I like those separate books, but together I felt overwhelmed. The story is thrilling. It’s a LOT. The twists truly shocked me. I think if it were two separate books I would love them both separately. The pace and tone were perfect for a thriller. I felt like yelling at the mc the whole time just turn around, don’t go down that dark alley, get some pepper spray, just be smarter. The main plot is super interesting and diabolical and I loved it. The subplots with the mc’s daughter get a little off track and took me out of the plot in the end. Same with other elements of the final scenes. I felt similarly about local missing woman. I LOVED it, until the very end and the suspension of belief at the end felt like too much of a reach for me. Her writing style is lovely though and she can write suspense, mystery, thrill, violence, and regret and more. I think it’s a good book anytime you are questioning everything and can’t trust anyone. Including family. The twist halfway through had me questioning what I had just read - literally, I had to go back and read the paragraph for a second time just to absorb the shock of it

What a great read! So many things happening, even a red herring! Those are my favorite! I thought I had it figured out but I was totally wrong. Great suspense and kept me guessing the whole time:

I have always loved how Mary Kubica can make a plot so twisty and tense. As someone who prides herself on guessing the plot twist, I was pleasantly surprised. I do wish that the ending was a bit better - I didn’t like the ambiguity the last chapter left us with

Wow!!! That’s all I can say about this book. As a nurse and avid reader I LOVED this book! I haven’t ever read anything by this author but I sure will be reading some more of her books! The twists in this book were amazing! This book for me was a 5 star and I can’t wait to read more of this author’s work.

Thank you Netgalley & Harlequin Trade Publishing, Park Row for allowing me to read an advanced copy of She's Not Sorry by Mary Kubica.
Megan Michaels is a divorced mother and ICU nurse living in Chicago. She's always looking behind her back when walking to and from work as there is someone in the area attacking women. She has a new coma patient (Caitlin) who had fallen off a bridge; however, things change when a witness comes forward claiming to witness the victim being pushed. Who's Caitlin and what happened to her?
What I liked: Mary Kubica did well with the tone of this story. It was wintery, dark, and mysterious. The story was a slow burn. The characters were fleshed out, yet enough was left unknown that led me to not trust anyone. There were descriptions of things happening that made me feel nervous often. It was an easy thriller to read.
What I disliked: A lot was happening from many different aspects of this story that didn't feel 100% cohesive. I feel like we could have done without the reveal of the person who was attacking women in the area. Either the whole thing shouldn't be included or it should have been used only to make the user feel more nervous about what is going on. I didn't care for it otherwise; it felt like a moot point in the story. Some of the pacing was slow burn, but some of it also felt overdescriptive. There were times we had a lot of scenarios about what could be happening as the main character thinks about them. I needed more action and less speculating. The twist was a little predictable for me; although maybe some who do not read as many thrillers may feel differently. Lastly the ending about what Ben may or may not know didn't feel very well executed either. And wouldn't he eventually find out more details about what happened later? It was just an odd execution.
Overall: I give this story 3 stars. I enjoy Mary Kubica's stories and will continue to read more of her books. I have a handful on my bookshelf as we speak. I could see this as a movie as it was very atmospheric and dark. I feel like this story could be portrayed better on screen.
Note: There are a lot of talks of domestic violence that could be triggering for some.

Meghan Michaels is dealing with a lot of stress. She’s recently divorced, trying to do right by her daughter, has a job in a busy ICU, and suddenly, a random attacker is targeting women across Chicago. Then, Caitlin is brought in as a patient. She allegedly tried to jump from a pedestrian bridge, but somehow survived, with massive trauma. As Meghan cares for Caitlin, more disturbing news comes in: Caitlin may not have jumped at all. Meghan becomes more concerned as events escalate and spiral out of control. Will she and her daughter be safe in a city that seems to be turned on its head?
Mary Kubica’s stand-alone thrillers are always a treat to read, never taking me long to read through, eager to get to the solution. And this was another winner. Man, I was flipping pages wildly by the end, unable to wait to find out how it ended - some guesses were right, some were wrong, but I was super satisfied, as always!
And of course, there was a HUGE twist that changed everything in there. I like that she doesn’t always wait til the end to throw the wrench in and gives time for the characters to have to deal with everything.
I won’t say anything about it, but I will say that while I liked it, I got confused about the timeline surrounding it. Things seemed to be linear, but with the twist, apparently they couldn’t be? It was the one point that got me in tangles. I wish it had been clearer.
But regardless, this was another edge-of-your-seat thriller that had me hooked. Pick this up if you love a good, suspenseful read that will keep you up reading late into the night!

The only reason I didn’t finish this book in one sitting is because life duties like dinner and such got in the way. That’s how good this book was.
From the start I couldn’t put it down, I needed to know what was going to happen next. Just as soon as I would catch on to something, I was sent for another twist and down a different path. Mary Kubica has such a way with hooking you in, and constantly making you dizzy trying to figure out what’s going on. I liked that it wasn’t so dark and twisty that I was disturbed while reading it. Also, can we get a story about Caitlin’s family!? And does Ben know what’s going on!?
I still have questions but this was such a good read! Thank you NetGalley and Mary Kubica for the advance copy in exchange for my honest review.

She’s Not Sorry by Mary Kubica is a classic thriller that hooked me from the first page and kept me reading until I knew what happened.
I’ve been a big Mary Kubica fan for years. She’s Not Sorry is one of her best yet! I couldn’t put this book down. I went in blind, but if you’ve enjoyed Mary Kubica in the past you’ll love She’s Not Sorry.
I enjoyed that Mary Kubica’s novels take place in Chicago, in a neighborhood I lived in for years. It was me able to imagine the story being played out.
If you’re in the mood for a fast paced thriller, be sure to pick up She’s Not Sorry.
Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing- Park Row for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

I really was on the fence about this one for quite a while - there were a lot of great details but in other places, it was confusing. It was a prolonged build, which seems to be unique for the author as her books were generally well-paced. The characters were pretty interesting though - I liked reading about this cast of characters. This just was not it for me at all.
thanks to Net Galley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for the opportunity to review this!

This is one of the twistiest thrillers I’ve read in a while! Meghan Michaels is a newly divorced critical care RN, living with her teen daughter in a fairly rough neighborhood. When a young woman comes in having seemingly jumped from a bridge, Meghan is assigned to take care of her. It’s a disturbing case made all the more disturbing because there’s a rapist on the loose in the neighborhood, following women home and attacking them. Meanwhile, Meghan is disturbed by a number of coincidences surrounding Caitlin and the people in both of their lives. Did Caitlin jump or did someone push her? Is that person following Meghan?
This story had a chokehold on me! This right here is why I’m such a Kubica fan and why I love a good thriller that can still shock me. Revealing too much will spoil this story, so I’ll stop right here but not before I urge anyone who loves a complex and gripping (yes, I said gripping – ugh) thriller that will lead the reader down a merry path of guessing, second guessing and then come right back around again. It was fantastic!
Thrilling, gripping and completely unpredictable! Loved this one so much!
