Excellent read! Kubica has done it again with a book that makes you want to stop doing anything else but read.
A parent's nightmare starts it off, with a call from a kidnapper. What you do next will determine if your child will live.
Then a jump to the ICU where Meghan's new patient has either jumped or fallen from quite a height and no one knows if the patient will live and if so, what quality of life will be in store. What is her story? Her family as secrets, her friends do, too. So does her nurse.
Love the twists! Thank you NetGalley for an advance reader copy. Honest opinions expressed here are my own and are freely given.

One of the most boring thrillers I’ve ever read. The characters were mostly flat and one-note, the twists didn’t feel deserved at all, and I spent most of the book rooting against the main character. The writing was often very stilted and awkward as well, especially the dialogue. A huge disappointment for me.

This story is definitely a gasp, giddy with suspense, and downright thrill ride! Definitely one of 2024 top books to read!! Grab this book!! You won't be disappointed!!

She’s not sorry by Mary Kubica publication day of April 2,2024 by Harlequin Trade Publishing.
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this one early, I am a big fan of Mary Kubica books and this one did not disappoint.
I will admit it did start a little slow but then boom, the twist and turns in this book really had me feeling kinda dizzy and anticipating more much more! Just when I thought I had it figured out book another bomb drops! Definitely I was way off!! Thanks again Mary Kubica for another good one to keep me company and woo me to sleep!!
Yall make sure to be on the look out for this one in a couple months you definitely will not be disappointed!!!

The book was so engagingg n kept me hookedd but when the twist was revealed i was feeling a bit confused coz I felt it went around n around in circles.
I finished the book in less than a dayy and it was so chilling in some partss. Def recommend!

This book was SO GOOD. I loved every moment of it. I could feel the main character’s anxiety and stress leap off the page. This book did such an amazing job of sucking you in. The twists at the end were so much fun! I look forward to reading more works by this author.
Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Publishing for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you NetGalley for the advanced copy. .
Unfortunately, this one was not for me. I started thinking about putting the book down for good 25% in or so, but hoped it would get better and ultimately made it 45% of the way before DNFing.
The plot wasn't pulling me in - it felt like very little had happened since the beginning and I was not invested in the main character or side characters at this point. I agree with a prior review in that it felt like as the reader, we just followed around a scared paranoid woman to and from work for the first half of the book. I found myself skimming entire paragraphs that didn't seem necessary. The relationships felt very surface level - even the mother/daughter aspect. The side explanations of things also drove me bananas (explaining nursing duties, aspects of child support/divorce, etc as asides), but may be helpful or interesting to some?
I am in the minority in my 2 star review as clearly so many others loved the twists in the second half of the book, I just sadly couldn't get there.

Thank you Netgalley, Mary Kubic, Harlequin Trade Publishing for the privilege of receiving an advance copy She's not Sorry by Mary Kubic. I've been inticipating reading a Mary Kubic book and this one did not disappoint. The prologue was very wellthought out making the reader intrigued to figure out what happen to the characters being discussed.
Meghan a newly divorced single mom working as a nurse in the ICU in Chicago and worrying about the killer that lurks the streets at night. Balancing work life and keeping her daughter safe Meghan has alot of her plate. Meghan's patient Caitlin suffered from a failed suicide attempt and as Meghan becomes to close to the family. She start to discover secrets that have her question if her patient truly jumped. This thriller definitely had multiple twist and is a very quick read.
April 2,2024 is the release date of she not sorry and you won't be sorry cause she definitely not. Thank you again for the advance copy for an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing and Park Row for providing this book, with my honest review below.
She’s Not Sorry was suspenseful but ultimately disappointing for me. Mary Kubica is no doubt a talented author and she explored the mother daughter dynamics between main characters Meghan and Sienna in an interesting way, but the plot wasn’t engaging (despite the intrigue) and the backstory with Caitlin didn’t elicit the emotions intended to make this as thrilling as I was hoping for.
If you’re a fan of thrillers by no means pass this one by, but don’t expect it to shake up the genre or be a unique addition to it.

When I have the chance to review a Mary Kubica, I block time off on my calendar to read it. Each of her stories is unique and always un-putdownable (is that a word?). I could not figure out the whodunnit and the mystery hooks until they were revealed in the book! Mary is a brilliant storyteller. I am trying so hard not to reveal spoilers. Please tell me this will be a movie! Thank you, NetGalley, for this opportunity!

I've read, and enjoyed, many of Mary Kubica's previous novels so was very excited to read this one. She's Not Sorry is the story of an ICU nurse who is caring for a patient who sustained traumatic injuries after a fall from a pedestrian bridge in Chicago. The first half of the story lays the groundwork for a big twist in the second half of the book.
Set aside time so you can read this in 1 or 2 sittings. It's intense and had a couple of other storylines weaved in that were unexpected. If you're a fan of intense thrillers that keep you guessing, definitely read She's Not Sorry!
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for access to this ARC.

This immediately sucked me in. But ultimately i felt like it was a slow burn. A lot of info and a lot going on. I didn’t see how things connected until finally part 2 and i was like oh! I see. After that it seemed kind of predictable.
It was a decent read but i wish it had been more fast paced.

Nurses are caring by nature and have an incredible drive to help people and support them through illness. For some like Meghan Michaels, it can be difficult to strike a balance between maintaining professional distance and not seeming too distant and uncaring.
Ignoring the warning signs and delving deep into Caitlin’s life puts Meghan and her daughter at risk. Meghan doesn’t believe Caitlin was committing suicide and is determined to prove investigators wrong. Is this a case of arriving at the right answer is still wrong?
With so little to say that won’t give this one away, I’ll just tell you what I loved:
✔️An adrenaline-fuelled narrative
✔️ Jaw-dropping twists and a heap of red herrings
✔️Unreliable characters
✔️Serial killer
✔️Blackmail
✔️Chicago and ICU setting
✔️Divorced mom balancing a stressful job and teen
✔️Domestic suspense/medical drama
✔️tension created when ER nurse gets involved in the life of her suicidal patient
Mary Kubica can really create atmosphere and tension! This mixed with the compelling thriller she’s crafted and the warning she’s issued, made for an intense and really enjoyable read. You’ll have to pick this one up to find out who’s not sorry….
I was gifted this copy by Harlequin Trade Publishing, Park Row and NetGalley and was under no obligation to provide a review.

Meghan Michaels is recently divorced, a single mom, and an ICU nurse. She is just trying to survive. To make matters worse, there is a prowler on the loose around the city that is killing women. She is worried for her daughter and herself as they navigate back and forth from school and work.
Meghan begins taking care of Caitlin, a patient in ICU, that has been pushed off of a bridge. The police are investigating the incident. Is she the next victim of the city prowler? Meghan spends so much time with the patient and she begins to befriend the family. Caitlin's father begins to tell her secrets that he is keeping from his wife. Meghan is in too deep now.
I give this book 5 stars! Kubica has written a thiller that will continue to surprise you. The reader is not going to want to put it down.

Meghan, an ICU nurse finds herself in a position of crossing the line into getting personally involved in a patient’s life. The patient, Caitlin, is a survivor from a fall off a pedestrian bridge and in a coma. Caitlin is joined by her estranged family members, all of which seem to be hiding something from each other. The tables turn when the attempted suicide evolves into an attempted murder case.
Meanwhile, Meghan reconnects with a friend from high school, Nat, at a divorce support group. Nat is in and out of her life and she deals with an abusive husband. Somethings not quite right with Nat..
Who is responsible for wanting to hurt Caitlin? Did she deserve it? Is Meghan and her daughter in danger as she gets closer to finding the truth? What secrets is Caitlin’s family hiding? All will be revealed in this hard to put down mystery / thriller with a jaw dropping twist that will make you want to reread from the beginning! I do feel there were some missed opportunities and loose ends, but overall 5 stars.
Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced reading copy in exchange for an honest review.

This book was utterly 🍌🍌🍌 in the best way! What a fun rollercoaster of emotions and just the perfect amount of drama! Some of the ICU scenes dragged on a bit but in the end the wait was worth it!!!!
5.0⭐️
Special thanks to NetGalley, Park Row and HTP for the review copy in exchange for my honest review❤️

Thank you SO much to Mary Kubica and Park Row Books for my copy of this one! It’s about Meghan, an ICU nurse dealing with a patient that jumped off a bridge. When a patient named Caitlin arrives in a coma, Meghan is assigned to care for her, but soon a witness comes forward saying that they think Caitlin might have been pushed. At the same time, there are vicious crimes happening all over the city of Chicago, and they are getting closer and closer to where Meghan lives. Meghan is trying to protect her daughter, but soon finds herself drawn into something much more sinister than she imagined.
Thoughts: Oh my goodness Mary Kubica. This book was SO twisted in the best way. I loved reading about each character but didn’t really trust them. The plot was layered and I was drawn into the book from the very first page. The pacing was so well done that I couldn’t put it down and read it in a few hours. Having lived in Chicago in the past, the gritty underbelly was so well described and I felt like I was right there with the characters.
The big twist in this book was amazing. I didn’t see it coming and I loved the way it fit in perfectly. I think there was a little too much going on in the end, and I wish the story would have just fleshed out the unanswered questions in the very end, instead of throwing in another big moment. It was such a great thriller and I was thoroughly entertained the entire time! 4.5 stars for this one!

I received this book as an arc through Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is the first book I read by Mary Kubica, and after reading this book, I would love to read more. This book is fast-paced and full of twists. I loved every minute of it. There are a few different stories wound together. The author is good and making sure that each story doesn't take away from the other, and then after they connect, she ties them up with a bow. While I think a piece of the storyline could have been eliminated to focus more on the main story, I can understand the importance of the themes behind everything. If you like psychological thrillers, this book will hook you in and leave you wanting more.

Another fantastic Mary Kubica novel!!! This one definitely threw me for a loop. I will say at times I had to think about what was going on in the story but it makes you think. I thought the ending was crazy and I am still thinking about it! Must read for suspense/thriller fans!!

Loved this book! I’ve read “the good girl” and loved it. Once I’ve seen this other people I just had to have it. Thank you NetGalley for giving me a chance to read this book.
