Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for an ARC of “She’s not Sorry” my Mary Kubica
Another amazing book by Mary Kubica! This was an excellent fast paced thriller! It had all the twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. Really enjoyed this one!!

Meghan Michaels is an ICU nurse, she recently divorced her husband, and has a teenage daughter. She is caring for a patient who is in a coma after falling off a bridge. Just when you think you know what is going to happen in this thriller, there is an unexpected twist. Mary Kubica was brilliant in the way she wrote this book! I'm so grateful I was chosen to read, and make an early review of this book.

Mary cannot write a bad book in my eyes, I've loved each and every once of them .I honestly feel like this was the most twistiness book of hers yet Complete with a clinically creepy hospital setting and an entire cast of characters you cannot trust, every page is steeped in a sense of deep, debilitating dread. This book gave me whiplash with the sheer number of twists. This is a heart-throbbing thriller that I couldn't put down as soon as I was hooked from the first page. The well-executed mysteries keep you on the edge of your seat, making your stomach churn, your nails bitten, your throat constricted, your heart beating faster, and your hyperventilation score hitting the roof.

I loved this book! All I can say is OMG I NEED A SEQUEL! The plot kept me guessing so much it was a total mindf***! Will DEFINETLY be recommending!

Wooooweee…okay, I was wrong!
I started this book and felt like it was so many different threads there was no way all of this would seamlessly mesh together to a conclusive ending. I was dead wrong.
While I found the beginning slow, and like I was missing some sort of pivotal plot point, the last 1/3rd of the book had me on my toes!
Wild ending and like…how much can one person take…Meghan has baaaad luck!
Super good! Will be reading more of Kubica

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for and advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I really liked this book. It’s hard to compare, as Local Woman Missing was AMAZING, but this one also kept me on the edge of my seat. It started a bit slow in my opinion and some of the twists were predictable but overall I would still recommend!

From the Prologue to the epilogue I was hooked. Mary Kubica knows how to sink her teeth in and not let go. Meghan Michaels works hard to provide for her teenage daughter as an ICU nurse. When an overpass jumper is brought in comatose and clinging to life she is reminded of her deceased sister. Bringing up more of her past is Nat, an old high school friend she has lost touch with. Tensions grow more when a witness comes forward and says the jumper, Caitlin, may have been pushed. Could she be part of a rash of attacks on women in the area?
In my opinion, this is Mary Kubica expressing the fears that women face everyday from walking alone at night to domestic violence. Kubica paints a picture that most of us know all too well and Michaels is immediately relatable. This is extremely well written, fast paced, and unpredictable. You will not be disappointed with this one at all. 5/5

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for a copy of “She’s Not Sorry” in exchange for an honest review. There was not anything new or revolutionary about this. It’s a quick read that it perfect for binging on a cold weekend. None of the twists were very twisty and the characters felt pretty interchangeable with other thriller novels. It was okay. I enjoyed the setting of the novel and how the descriptions of place played so heavily in the narrative.

I could not put this book down! It was a heart-throbbing thriller and I was hooked from the first page. It kept me on the edge of my seat. There were so many little twists and loopholes that kept me guessing to the very end.

Fast pace that keeps you on the edge of your seat. I couldn’t go throughout my day without thinking about the characters. I was so eager to finish but didn’t want the book to end. I’ve heard amazing things about the author. You really cannot trust any character which made it exciting to read. Highly recommended if interested in an ICU setting from a nurse pov.

Another amazing, fast paced, quick, read, thriller, from one of my go to suspense authors. I mean I was hooked after just reading the description to be honest. If you’re questioning, whether or not, you should get this book, you should. You definitely should.

Mary has done it again! And is now not only one of my got to authors, but she will forever be an auto buy!!! This story is dark, twisty, and just when I think I have it all figured out... she gets me! I love that I can care for the characters, and get lost inside the plot, the whole atmosphere is just excellent!

This psychological thriller centers on an ICU nurse, Meghan Michaels, and a coma patient, Caitlyn. Caitlyn has jumped from a bridge and fallen 20 feet onto train tracks and arrives at the Chicago Hospital where Meghan works with barely a 50:50 chance of living. And Meghan becomes her nurse. Nothing special so far. Until we find out Caitlyn may have been pushed, and Meghan becomes emotionally involved with Caitlyn's care. In parallel with this, there is a man preying on woman which keeps Meghan and her teenage daughter worried.
There seems to be two or three stories going on at the same time, all related to these two central females. But who is the heroine and who is the villain? It is only when the stories collide at the end of part 1, that a huge ball drops. With plot twists spiralling on plot twists, this is a really clever thriller that sucked me in and kept me reading. I was not sorry to have read this book!
Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley. I received an advanced reader copy of this book in return for an honest review.

Awesome read!! Mary Kubica is one of my favorite authors and she has done a tremendous job once again! While I feel "She's Not Sorry" started a bit slow, it definitely picked up and before I knew it I couldn't put it down! Just because it didn't grab my attention right from the beginning, 4*s

There's nothing I enjoy more than a thriller that takes place in a medical setting and this book did not disappoint.
"She's Not Sorry" is definitely a slow burn, twisted and full of surprises. Meghan Michaels is an ICU nurse and a single mom of a 16 year old daughter. She oversees a patient that attempted suicide by jumping off a bridge or so they assume. She tries not to get attach to the patient's family but finds it harder to stay emotionally detached from this particular patient. There are two different storylines here. Aside from the patient she's treating, there's a serial rapist that is attacking single women in her area. She also reconnects with an old high school classmate, who is dealing with an abusive husband but later realizes that not everything is as it seems. But Kubica did a great job connecting everything together in the end.
This book still doesn't top my fave from Kubica-"Local Woman Missing". Don't get me wrong, this was full of suspense, but I felt like the plot had a few gaps and too much going on. I did have my suspicions early on but this book kept me guessing until the very end. Overall, another great novel from Mary Kubica!
Many thanks to NetGalley, Harlequin Trade Publishing, and the author for my ARC, which I had the pleasure of reading. All opinions are my own. Publication date: April 2, 2024.

I absolutely loved this thriller!
There is so much that is woven in to this story that I had no idea what the end result would be.
I thought I did, but I was not close to solving this suspenseful , twisted, mystery!
The main character, Meghan, is an ICU nurse.
This is where we first meet her patient Caitlin, who is in a coma following a horrific injury. after attempting suicide.
She is young and it is not easy for Meghan to care for her, but she does her best.
However- this is only the beginning as we turn the pages and learn of Caitlin's family and injuries as well.
I waited with bated breath as I started each new chapter and was totally invested in this novel!
Believe me, this is not at all what you think! I will not give more away, but if you enjoy psychological suspense and a shocking plot you will really love this book! I know I did!
Thank you to @Netgalley and to @Harlequin Trade Publishing for this incredible ARC and allowing me to read and provide my own review.

Mary Kubica does it again! She is an auto buy author for me so when I saw this on NG I knew I wanted to read it! I was NOT disappointed.
I truly loved this book, it was so clever. And while I may have seen some of the twists coming there was some parts I had no idea. I thought the multiple plot lines worked well all together and I was a fan of the ending.
I would rate this book a 4/5 stars. The only reason I deducted a star was because I think there was more room for a specific plot point. But thats just my observation.
I highly recommend this book! Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publishers for a copy of this work in exchange of an honest review

This book was very well written. I think there should've been either more detail about how Caitlin brother was hiding things or take that part out of the story all together. There were times when as a reader, I was lead to believe that Caitlin's family had some big secret, but nothing was ever followed up with about that.

➡Recently divorced trauma nurse Meghan Michaels tries to separate the stress of her job from the stress of raising a daughter on her own. But when a patient named Caitlin arrives in a coma after jumping from a Chicago bridge, memories of her own past resurface, making nearly impossible to separate the threads of her life.
As details of Caitlin's accident begin to emerge, Meghan must work to untangle the web of lies that Caitlin has told from her own and when she does, she realizes that no one around her is who they seem to be.

🎯 What I loved: This book was packed with crime, drama and psychological twists. There are a lot of seemingly unrelated characters and you're never quite sure who is telling the truth, which was a great way to tamper some of the truly heinous activity taking place in the background. It was propulsive and felt fast paced and I wanted to see what would happen next. There were multiple big twists so it really kept momentum until the very end.
🙅♀️ What I didn't: There were so many crimes happening to different characters that it was difficult to keep track of everything and everyone and even though most threads saw resolution, there were a few loose ends that really bothered me ( i.e. what happened with Caitlin's family?) and felt sloppy. There are also a TON of trigger warnings to be aware of before reading this book, so make sure to take care or adjust course as necessary.

Read if you love:
*multiple crimes/perpetrators with one unifying storyline
*big twists that will have you second guessing everything you just read
