At first I wasn’t really into it. It started pretty slow and I think it just bothered me that I wasn’t catching on to anything. Well I kept reading and then everything just unfolded about 70% through. I DID not see that double twist coming at all!! Really enjoyed and loved this one and highly recommend it! Im going to skip giving a summary on this one because I feel like it really just needs to be read going in blind!

I have been a fan of Mary Kubica since I read Pretty Baby years ago. However, She's Not Sorry does not live up to the magic of Pretty Baby. In fact, this has to be my least favorite Kubica book I've ever read. While I appreciate a good twisty thriller, this book felt ,more like 3 different ideas pasted together with the hope that the reader will find cohesion. I was about 50% into the book before the plot even began to match the summary found on the back of the book., and even then it didn't match It was even further along when I realized that a portion of the book was taking place in the past. There were 2 side plots going on with no resolution to 1 and the 2nd was so hurried and I questioned what this subplot had to do with the story at all. This book isn't due out until April and I would highly encourage some re-writing before putting this book to press.

Thanks to NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for the ARC!
I was so excited to get the opportunity to read the next Mary Kubica book! I have been a fan of hers since I read The Good Girl.
I enjoyed the concept of She’s Not Sorry, but it was just missing something for me. I thought it all abruptly ended and it left a lot of unanswered questions. I felt some parts of the story could have been developed more and some parts left out. I do think this one will be super popular and I recommend others read it, especially if they’ve been a fan of her past works. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is one of those thrillers that pulls you in on the first page and as you read you don’t know how all the pieces are going to fit together. It gave off so many creepy vibes as I always felt that someone was lurking behind every corner. I liked how you weren’t sure who to trust as who was being honest and who was lying.
The serial killer was easy to figure out but it didn’t detract from the story. I liked how there were so many different things going on at once.
Meghan is a single divorced mom who is a nurse. She is struggling to balance work and home life.
There were some things that didn’t get answered in the book and I usually like everything explained and that bothered me.
Thank you Netgalley and Park Row for the e-galley.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC. I've heard great things about this book but at 30% i gave up. I was bored out of my mind. I might give it another try before it's release date. If so I'll update my review.

Mary Kubica has written some of my very favorite books, and this one did not disappoint. You know those books that have you sneaking out your phone at any moment of free time, just so you can sneak in even one page? This book had that affect on me. I didn't guess the plot twist or ending and I loved that it has several "holy cow" moments throughout. It's definitely a book to add to your list next year when it comes out.
Thank you so much to netgalley and to the author for allowing me to review such a page-turner!

This book was nothing like I have ever read before! I was really interested right away and read the first ½ of the book in one sitting. I could not put it down. There are almost 2 separate stories within Meghan’s life going on at once and I loved how the narrative switched between the 2 stories. She’s Not Sorry follows Meghan, her ex husband Ben, & their daughter Sienna. Meghan is a nurse who gets tasked with caring for a suicide attempt patient. You follow her journey at work caring for her patient as well as her home life trying to navigate her recent divorce, daughter, and an old friend that came back into her life. There is never a dull moment in that first ½.
If you like thrillers that have multiple different story lines going at once that all come together in the end, you’ll really enjoy reading this book. The characters are very lovable and you will find yourself rooting for all of them throughout the story as well as questioning all of them. I felt this book was more of a “slow burn” type of thriller and I generally prefer more “fast-paced” thrillers. If you’re into the slow burn, I definitely recommend you pick this one up!
The 2nd ½ of this book took me almost 6 days to finish. I found that about 50% through 90% was slow compared to the first 50%. There are 3 different twists in this book and I had 2 of them guessed pretty early on. One of the twists I was pretty surprised by and really got the “thriller” vibes from.
Thanks to NetGalley, Harlequin Trade Publishing and Mary Kubica for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

This was a nice, quick read and hooked me back into reading as I've been in a bit of a slump. I did predict the twists but it was still an enjoyable read and in the first half, it was fun guessing how everything was related. I just read too many thrillers!

She’s Not Sorry ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Meghan is a single mom and an ICU nurse. She’s good at her job but tries to stay emotional detached to her patients for her own mental health. But when one lady comes in with a traumatic brain injury, after jumping off a bridge, she’s drawn to her and her family. She tries to understand what would make her want to jump. After a witness comes in, they learn that she didn’t jump but she was pushed. This opens up all kinds of questions about what really happened. There’s a killer on the loose and Meghan realizes that she and her daughter could be the next victims.
This was a suspenseful, fast paced, mystery thriller. There were so many twist that I didn’t see coming. I thought I had it figured out and then I didn’t. It did have a few mysteries going on at the same time but they all came together at the end. And that ending… kinda leaves you hanging a little.
This book comes out on April 2, 2024. Be sure to add it to your TBR list on Goodreads!
Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Trading Publishing for my arc copy. This is my honest and voluntary opinion.

She’s Not Sorry by Mary Kubica
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
When ICU nurse, Meghan, is assigned a patient that had a failed suicide attempt, she finds herself letting herself get too close to the family. When a strange man comes to the ICU that claims he is a friend of the woman, the police begin to investigate the possibility that she was pushed instead.
Meghan is also on edge because a serial rapist is attacking women between her home and the hospital. Meghan meets an old high school friend, recently divorced as well. Her friend seems to be being abused by her husband and Meghan tries to help her. Could all of these things somehow be tied together?
This book pulled me in quick during the prelude. It never slowed down from there. While I had some suspicions early on and some others during my reading, only some of them were right and those suspicions kept me intrigued. Another great novel from Mary Kubica!

Holy heck. I’ve always loved every Mary Kubica book I’ve read. This book. This one- whole other level.
My mouth was open for a solid minute with that first huge twist. And the last quarter of the book, the carousel kept spinning. Twist after twist. This book kept me on my toes. It’s so creepy. The dual timelines- All the character plots all simultaneously going on at once. Incredible. I devoured this book. I read 70% of this book in 1 sitting that’s how attached I got to the storyline.
I’m obsessed. This is Mary Kubica best book thus far. Every single one she releases somehow manages to get better and better.
You need to read this ASAP!
Thank you so much NetGalley and Harlequin for allowing me to read this in advanced in exchange for my honest opinion.

A slow burn thriller that will leave your mind blown. The unexpected twists were amazing! This is by far my favorite by Mary Kubica.
Review has been posted to Goodreads and on publication date will be posted to: Amazon, Barnes and Noble and other indie sites.

HOLY PLOT TWIST.
I am a huge Mary Kubica fan and it's safe to say I LOVED She's Not Sorry. I was sucked in from the start and didn't have the slightest idea how it would end. The storyline flowed well with a bit of a slow burn for the first 60%... and then BAM! The last chunk of the book was a wild ride of suspense that led up to a great finale. If you love a great thriller with a plot twist that leaves you speechless, you're not going to want to miss She's Not Sorry.

Thank you NetGalley, Harlequin Trade Publishing, Park Row, and Mary Kubica for the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest opinion!
This is not my first Mary Kubica book and it won’t be my last! Kubica always does a great job of adding twists and turns around every corner and this book is no different! This thriller/mystery starts as a SLOW burn with quite a bit going on. We learn about a mad man attacking women throughout the city of Chicago, we meet Nat, an abused wife that our main character, Meghan, finds herself drawn to, wanting to help her. We learn about a woman falling off a bridge. There were quite a few story lines (with a lot of detail) happening within the one main story and I found it slightly hard to follow at first. But as the story goes on, we see the multiple story lines come together and the characters develop!
Mary always does a fantastic job adding extra twists into the story line and those twists always end up being the perfect addition. I really liked that we got a major plot twist around 75% of the way thru the book. Knowing I still had quite a bit of book left gave me a lot to look forward to while reading!
Over all 4.5 stars, rounded up to 5 since there were still pieces to the story that didn’t quite make sense/fit together, but in the end, the story wrapped up nicely! I don’t know how Kubica was able to tie in most of the different story lines, but in the end she came thru! I can’t wait to read what Kubica comes up with next!

Meghan is a nurse in the ICU and is overseeing a patient in a coma. Meghan is divorced with a teenage daughter. There are two different stories here, Meghan's old friend from high school and how they catch up from the past, plus the woman in the coma.
This book is divided into two parts, told in Meghan's POV. The two storylines do came together and the plot is very twisted! I love this author and highly recommend all of her books! Twisted, Chilling Thriller and Deeply Entangled! 4 stars!
Thanks so much to NetGalley for the advance copy! This book will be a hit when it is released in April 2024.

Mary Mary Mary… you always twist so good. 🤯
This has to be one of my new favorites of yours next to local woman missing.
This book is full of twists and turns as an ICU nurse uncovers the mystery behind her patient. I am always a sucker for a twist I didn’t see coming!
I have to also commend you in your medical accuracy. As a physician I tend to dread when people try to put medical information in to their books as it tends to be pretty inaccurate. I can tell you did your research because you did a great job! Props to your resources!!
I think there were a few loose ends i would have loved to have tied up but overall this book was so great!!
I predict this book will be very popular once published.
Thank you to Harlequin and NetGalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review!

I received this book as an ARC via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Many thanks to the author and publisher for this opportunity.
This book is a super sloooooow start and build up…but just enough suspense to keep you going.
Great character development and plenty of plot twists along the way.
The fine details can be a bit distracting and I admit I skipped through some of these to get to the good stuff…and there is plenty of good stuff in this story.

I was super stoked to get this arc! I will first say I love Mary Kubica so i basically tore into this one!
It definitely a slow burn thriller, but it’s 100% worth the wait. All the twists and turns, the fact that the characters are all mysterious was a huge plus for me. I could not put it down once I started and will be buying a copy once released!
This became an easy favorite.

I really enjoyed this book and looking forward to more from this author
