I really enjoyed this books. 4 stars. It hits you with twists and turns that you will not see coming. My only hesitation for not giving it 5 stars was some unanswered loose ends at the end of the story.
Meghan Michaels is an ICU nurse. Her and her ex-husband share custody of their 16 year old daughter Sienna. Her newest patient is a young woman, Caitlin who jumped from a bridge trying to kill herself. She finds herself learning more about Caitlin through her family members who have gathered at her bedside. Soon after Meghan reports a strange man lurking about, it is revealed that maybe someone pushed her.
Meghan also has her hands full with a Nat, a former high school classmate who seems to be in an abusive relationship. Can she help her escape her husband?
There is also a man killing women on the loose close to where Meghan and Sienna live. No one in the city is safe and every character seems suspicious.
Are any of these events connected? Who can you trust? This fast paced thriller will keep you guessing up until the final pages.

This is a thriller that I had really high hopes for being that I have read others thrillers from this author and loved them but to me this book was just ok. Its a very slow burn and I prefer my books to be fast pace page turners. The story is also way tooooo wordy and descriptive. Meaning that this book could have been at least 50+ pages less. At around 60% of the way through is when this book began to picked up. The story began to tie together and I really liked it. The plot twist was good. The main character Meghan was likable even when I was yelling at her lol. She's a single mom who works full time as a nurse. She tries her best to have a balance while helping an old friend from high school. We all know how shady these old friends can be. I would only recommend this novel to people who prefer a slow build up. I give it a solid 3.5

Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read and review this ARC!
Super twisty, quick read, kept me wanting to know what in the world was going on!
The first half of the book there was a lot of different things going on, and I had no idea where it was going. The last half, I never would’ve guessed anything that happened.
Lots going on, untrustworthy characters, lots of twists, highly recommend!!

She does it again! 👏🏼 Local Woman Missing is one of my favourite thrillers of all time so any Kubica book that has come out after has big shoes to fill, but this was amazing.
It was the type of story that you have no idea where it’s headed and you can’t put it down. It follows Meghan, an ICU nurse who gets a little bit too close to a patient and her family and gets herself involved in the darkness that surrounds them. The entire book is full of twists and turns and genuinely had me guessing until the end. I love when a story is complex and all over the place, leading you down different paths, and the end pulls everything together and you’re left with your jaw on the floor and this fully delivered on that! Fully worth the pre-order!!

🫶🏻Thank you so incredibly much to Harper Collins CA, Harlequin Books and HTP Books for the ARC!

This was a pretty solid thriller that had a twist that reminded me of the first time I read Gone Girl. Some of the other twists were more predictable, though. It took a while to really pick up, but when it did, it REALLY picked up. Everything happened really fast around the 60% mark.
Overall, I would give this a 4/5. The beginning was very slow but the big reveal made up for it. I liked the ending in theory, but wish it would have been written a little more vague and ominous.
Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this title. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Had me audibly gasping until the very end! So many twists and surprises! If you are a fan of Mary Kubica’s previous books, you will only be delighted by her newest book.

A slow burn suspense with a lot going on.
The main storyline was intriguing and lands an unexpected twist. Unfortunately wading through the rest of the narrative was slow going; most of the other subplots were either easily anticipated or ended abruptly without resolution. The novel felt as if it should’ve been two separate books and more time could’ve been spent on character development rather than creating a mini thriller inside of a suspense and another storyline that was just going to be abandoned three-quarters of the way through. I really wanted to like this but it just didn’t hit the mark.
Thanks to #Netgalley for the ARC

4.5 stars
Another suspenseful thriller by Mary Kubica with plenty of twists and characters you can't trust. The pacing was perfect! I loved the twist and finished the book in one day. Mary Kubica knows how to write a heart throbbing thriller with plenty of plot lines that leave you trying to find connections.
I would have rated this book 5 stars, but some of my questions were unanswered.

When a patient with terrible injuries from a fall is put in ICU nurse Meghan’s care, everyone believes she survived a suicide attempt. After more information comes to light, authorities believe she may have been pushed. Meghan is drawn into her story and fears for her own safety, as well as the safety of her teenage daughter. No woman is safe when there’s a predator going after lone women late at night in their town.
I am a huge Mary Kubica fan, and I was honored to receive an early copy of her newest thriller. This one is definitely one of her very best! I couldn’t put it down once I started, and there were so many twists and turns that I didn’t see coming at all. The way it’s written allows the reader to uncover answers at just the right jaw dropping moment. The book is full of suspicious characters and creepy situations that draw you in and don’t let go until the final page. I highly recommend this to all of my fellow thriller lovers who want an intense, twisty, and unpredictable read!
Thank you to Mary Kubica, Harlequin publishing, and netgalley for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review.

An ICU nurse accidentally uncovers a patient’s frightening past in She's Not Sorry by Mary Kubica.
I was super excited to get this book to read as I like Mary Kubica and her writing style and stories. However, I had mixed feelings about this book after reading it. I'm still not sure if I liked it or not. It felt a bit slow for a Mary Kubica story. The story held my attention, and I liked the main character, Meghan. But there were times I had to shake my head at some of her decisions. The ending was so-so for me as well.
Overall, it is just an okay read for me.

Mary Kubica’s newest book gets five stars from me. As a new reader of her books I was excited to read this over the course of a week, but I couldn’t. I stayed up until 2am on a weeknight just to finish it! Meghan, a single mom and nurse, has a patient she is caring for that is in a coma. The twists and turns of their lives keep you turning the pages for more. There is a bit of a sub plot with another character that felt a little unnecessary, so it didn’t add anything to the plot for me and made me wonder why it was even included. Still a fantastic read. I am now a fan of this author and cannot wait to read more of her books.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishers for an eARC of Mary Kubica’s newest book “She’s Not Sorry” in exchange for an honest review.
I flew through this book and did not want to put it down. Kubica is an author I always enjoy because she gets you going on more then one storyline confusing the reader. I thought I had this book figured out three different times and it still ended differently then I would have thought. If I had one criticism it would be there were a couple of characters that were introduced that never really went anywhere and there are times in books where if there are too many people it makes it hard to keep up with to everyone. I would have omitted the unnecessary characters. Overall a solid book that I would recommend.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I enjoyed She’s Not Sorry a lot! I thought it was kind of slow in the beginning and didn’t really pick up until about 60% but it was good overall! Lots of twists and things you didn’t suspect!
Thank you NetGalley, Park Row and Mary Kubica for letting me read this before its April 2024 release!

This book was so good! I really enjoy Mary Kubica and I don’t think that I’ve ever read a book by her that I didn’t enjoy in some capacity.

She’s not sorry was hands down one of my favorite books of the year ! I loved all the twists and turns . It was a book that I definitely did not want to put down once I picked it up . To this day Mary kubica is one of my favorite authors!!

Once again Kubica knocks it out of the Thriller park! I am a huge fan of hers and every book has so many twist and turns that it gives me whiplash! I loved it!

Big fan of Mary Kubrick and this was no exception. Instantly hooked. I finished it in one day. Twists until the last sentence!

I pretty much live for anything new that Mary Kubica puts out. She is hands down one of my all time favorite authors. This book did not disappoint! I loved it so much. It kept me guessing the whole time. The character development was second to none!

I am usually a big fan of Mary Kubica books. She’s Not Sorry just fell flat for me. I was able to figure out a few of the big twists. I found my self skimming pages because the story dragged a little. The main character just put herself in situations that made no sense. This is one of those books that’s pretty forgettable . Thanks
net galley for sending this ARC for an honest review.

There were multiple storylines and situations that ended up running together in the end. Wasn’t sure how it would play out until the end.
