I loved how the author pulled me in to the story, using interesting characters and a fast-paced storyline. The plot went in unexpected directions and I couldn't get enough. Will be recommending as a great Summer 2024 beach read.

This is her best book yet. The book reads easily, and interest is piqued at the very beginning. All the characters are engaging and they will keep you guessing. This one was a shocker for me. Great read!

I've read ALL of author Mary Kubrica's books, and yet this latest one, "She's Not Sorry" just blew me away, it was really good & kept me quite engrossed. I so enjoyed this story of Meghan, an ER nurse and recently divorced mom, whose world changes when a new patient, Caitlin, is brought to her hospital in a coma after suffering from a TBI. What happened on the bridge? I also really appreciated the medical aspects of this one - lots of research time must have gone into that part. Really enjoyed. My sincere thanks to the publisher & Net Galley for the complimentary DRC- my sincere pleasure to review it & award all the stars!!!

"She's Not Sorry" by Mary Kubica is a thrilling rollercoaster of a read that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. The story revolves around Meghan Michaels, a single mom and dedicated nurse, whose life takes a dark and unexpected turn when she becomes involved with a mysterious patient named Caitlin.

Kubica's storytelling is top-notch, and she masterfully weaves a tale of suspense and intrigue. The plot takes unexpected twists and turns, keeping the reader guessing and constantly questioning the true nature of the events. I absolutely loved the twists and turns in the story. Each revelation added layers to the mystery and left me second-guessing my assumptions.

What truly sets this book apart is the depth of character development. Meghan is a relatable protagonist who struggles with the balance between her demanding job and her responsibilities as a mother. Her emotional journey and her evolution throughout the story are beautifully portrayed. I found myself rooting for her as she unwittingly became entangled in Caitlin's life, and the suspenseful build-up to the realization that her own safety and her daughter's might be at risk had me eagerly turning the pages.

Mary Kubica is a must-read author for me, and this book solidified that sentiment. Her writing style is engaging and immersive, making it easy to connect with the characters and become absorbed in the plot. The pacing is spot on, with just the right amount of tension and revelations to keep you engaged without feeling overwhelmed.

I'm giving it four stars instead of five because I felt that the resolution, though satisfying, could have been a tad more complex and complete. Nonetheless, this is a gripping read that will keep you up late at night, and I eagerly look forward to Kubica's future works.

I normally love Mary Kubica books but, She’s not sorry, was definitely a slow burn for me. I found it packed full of unnecessary information that were meant for character development but left me feeling as if it were just put in to take up space in the pages. I will definitely try the next one because I usually love her writing style. Thank you to NetGalley for my ARC copy in exchange for an honest review!

This was such a page turner! There was one overall plot but multiple subplots that were really great! I really enjoyed it!

Meghan Michaels is a divorced ICU nurse and mom to a teenage daughter. Her life is chatoic. It gets even more chaotic when Caitlin, a patient, is admitted to the hospital Meghan works at. Caitlin suffered a severe injury from a fall of the bridge. Did she jump or was she pushed?

Seriously, the amount of plot twists this book took was not what I was expecting! I thought I had it figured out for a good chunk, but then, BAM! Not so much!

It kept my interest for the entire book and I read it super quickly because I was so engaged! You HAVE to read She's Not Sorry by Mary Kubica!!!

Thank you to the publisher for giving me a chance to read an early digital copy of this book. I get very excited every time I see that Mary Kubica has a new book coming out. I have been a fan of hers since before my bookstagram days, and she was on the of the first authors I read when I got into reading thrillers as an adult. Her newest doesn't come out until next year, but I was way too excited to read it, so I went ahead and downloaded it and read it this weekend. There were things I really enjoyed about the book and there were a few things that left me a little confused. I thought the book was very fast paced and overall, it was entertaining. There were a few storylines that didn't really seem to go anywhere, and it kind of felt like they just added unnecessary pages to the story. For example, Caitlin's brother, and how he lied about when he arrived in town. There was also the stuff with Ben at the end that didn't really go anywhere. However, overall, like I said, this was entertaining and Mary Kubica continues to be one of my favorites.

I love Mary Kubica books and this one was no exception. A fast paced read with multiple story lines and fascinating characters. I enjoyed how all the puzzle pieces fell into place to reveal quite the plot twist.

Mary Kubica is one of my favorites, and this book did not disappoint! While I found the twist a bit predictable, I highly enjoyed this text and flew through it. I'm already looking forward to her next one.

Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review.

This book took me through an emotional rollercoaster. I found it annoying and frustrating for about 70 percent. Then the big twist happened. I enjoyed it for the next 15 percent and then despised it for the last 15. It had two story lines that could have been made into two separate books, but when tied together it just didn’t work for me. I love how it took place in Chicago (as a Chicago native), but the repetition of the main character being scared to walk around alone the entire time was exhausting.

Meaghan is a nurse. She loves working in a hospital and taking care of others. One day, a patient comes into the ER after trying to take her own life. Meaghan becomes engrossed in this woman’s story and life. She finds herself creating relationships with Caitlin (the patients) family finding out different things about who Caitlin really was. Meaghan then took it upon herself to find out more about the attempted suicide. In her quest, she finds out Caitlin is entwined with her family in a way she never expected. Meaghan becomes furious and isn’t sorry for anything that happens along her journey to find out the truth.

It just felt random and disorganized. Trigger warning for suicide and coma.

Thank you to Harlequin Books for the ARC!

This book was full of twists and turns! There are really 2 separate story lines in the story and when they come together, WOW! I was not expecting that!
Meghan is a single mother and a nurse. Her ICU patient, Caitlin, has secrets of her own, just like Meghan. There’s also a serial assault/rapist attacking women in Meghan’s neighborhood. I loved the dark and scary vibes in this book! The ending was satisfying yet left me hanging. Perfect! Thank you to Net Galley for the ARC.

Wow! This book was excellent. I absolutely loved how expertly she plotted the first part of this book. I was completely blown away with the reveal in the second part and had to go back and re read sections to ensure I hadn't missed something. I thought the characters were great! So many unreliable narrators and situations that had you re-guessing and analyzing. I really loved the ambiguous ending with the husband. I thought using the daughter as one of the antagonists was also brilliant. I cant rave enough about this. A huge step up from her last novel. 5 stars and a for sure bestseller.

There's a part about the timeline that is a little to ambiguous for my comfort, but it's so prettily woven that I kind of don't care. One star deducted for the literal last line.

This is the sixth book I’ve read by this author, all psychological thrillers that keep you guessing but this one!!! The beginning was very slow and hard for me to get into, I would read a few chapters and put it down but when I came home today, I decided I was going to finish. As I was reading I finished a chapter and thought wait a minute WHAT!!! Then I didn’t slow down because I had to finish. I can’t say much without giving it away but wow.

Meghan Michaels is an ICU nurse tending to a critically ill patient who jumped from a bridge. While caring for Caitlin, she meets her family and begins to connect with them. Over the course of time, however, Meghan realizes Caitlin's family isn't what they seem to be.

She's Not Sorry makes some incredible plot twists that Kubica is well known for. The story is a good one, and overall, the book is a good read. Thank you Net Galley for an arc in exchange for my honest review.
