Tied was really hard for me to read. Not because it was bad...in fact, it was really really good! Rather, it was hard to read because of all the emotions I felt reading it! A total emotional rollercoaster for me and I do not regret one second of it! Highly recommend.

Two broken people finding each other and making a new life and healing what is broken. Rescuer to friend to lover. I loved every page and wished that there would have been an epilogue. This was a beautiful heartbreaking story that I couldn't put down.

Heartbreaking and sweet at the same time! I absolutely loved this book! The character growth as they learn to love after trauma is captivating.

I require HEA and this one did not disappoint!

If you like to feel all the feelings in a single book, this one is for you!

This book is an emotional rollercoaster with dark themes and trauma. Both Tyler and Holly have suffered greatly and are both ostracized from their loved ones finding solace only with each other. The way they are able to care for each other and help each other heal from their pasts is heart wrenching as they learn it's okay to depend on someone else and to ask for help when you need it. I felt the ending of the book to be a little abrupt but satisfying.

Tied by Carian Cole starts with a young man rescuing a girl from an unimaginably traumatic experience. She was kidnapped and abused for eleven years until Tyler pulls her out of a hidden pit in the woods. He then, without question, kills her abuser with his bare hands when the monster attacks them both. Since I hadn't read the summary, I was shocked by the violence and the trauma introduced in the very first pages. BUT--I will say I loved the book. I haven't personally experienced anything close to the trauma described in the book so I can't speak to the accuracy or the authenticity of the events or emotions, but the story was compulsively readable, and I was rooting for Tyler and Holly's happy ending from start to finish.

If reading about trauma (including kidnapping, sexual assault, substance abuse, and more) bothers you, I might recommend skipping this one, even though I can report that it has a beautiful, redemptive ending.

This was a first for me and I’m def going back to read the first in the series asap! I really like the dynamic of the couple and how they have issues to overcome. The heroine really had a crappy past. I liked how the hero saved her and cared for her as well. This had all the beauty and the beast vibes going on but with a little more tattoos and spice;) It was an enjoyable romance for sure!

Omg..... this book. So much horrific life events that occur in a short period. These events become the foundation to a beautiful full circle love story. I love the story of Ty and Holly. It's a slow burn. They helps each other heal individually and together.

I loved how patient Ty was with Holly, and I loved how Holly just kept showing up and gave Ty confidence. The texting conversations between them were sweet and innocent.

This is the second book in the series, but definitely can be read as a stand alone book.

One thing that I’ve come to expect from Carian Cole is a story that will absolutely destroy my heart. It has never taken me longer than 24 hours to read a book from this author. Her stories pull you in and hold you by the neck until you finish. For me anyway!

Tyler rescues Holly from her abductor after finding her in the woods. She has to spend time learning to be in society again after be isolated and abused for over a decade. She forms a tentative friendship with Tyler, hoping to thank him for saving her life. This book made me feel all types of extreme emotions. Extremely sad for Holly and Tyler. But I was so happy and hopeful as everything continues to unfold. Fated mates in a contemporary setting with a tragic past that touches both of them.

I’ll never forget this story. I just want to scream about it to everyone! It was beautiful and unique 🥰No spoilers but it’s absolutely worth the read! If you like emotional reads, I’d recommend this one that includes healing and for both main characters.

Wow I did not see this book packing the emotional punch that it did! Absolutely loved the characters- heartbreak, healing and all! Absolutely would recommend!

DNF’d book one at 15% so I will not be reading this book. I unfortunately could not get past the “uncle” dynamic.

I just adore how Carian Cole can make readers feel, like really feel when they read her stories. She just pulls you in and you are so invested from the first page.

I really enjoy Carian’s writing style as I have loved a lot of her books, but this one fell kind of flat for me. I loved the idea and the characters even. However I did feel that the book itself moved to slow for me. I did get emotional a few times which is always a good thing when I am reading a book. I just felt like some deeper things that needed to be addressed weren’t and they were kind of glossed over. I will continue to read this author this book just wasn’t for me.

I have seen this book everywhere, with many people loving it and while I love the tropes this books offer, I did not enjoy like I thought I would have. While I see myself as an adventurous reader, willing to read the most outlandish of books, this one was just not doing it for me. The writing was okay but the characters were didn't mend well and that is what threw me for the loop. 3 stars.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first book so I was expecting the same from this one. However, it was different. Took a while to get into it.

I really enjoyed this book. I love the writing style of the Author and the pace of the story. The story maintained my attention and every day I was looking forward to continuing Holly and Tyson's story! This is the second book I've read by the Author with Torn being the first, and I continue to be more and more impressed the more I read.

I didn't really love the first book I read by this author so I didn't have super high hopes going into this one. Ended up DNF'ing this one somewhere between 10-15% because I couldn't relate to the characters, the writing is just okay, and I'd rather read something else. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to be an early reader. All thoughts are my own.
