Finlay Donovan is back and always finding her way into something. What better to do then to go on a road trip with her bestie, ex husband, two kids, and her mother… what could possibly go wrong. Something for sure lol finlay always finds herself in some sort of trouble. I always find myself laughing and feeling the joy these books bring. Are they the greatest thing you’ve ever read? No. But they are fun, lighthearted and just really remind you to just have some fun with your reads sometimes.

This may have been my favorite Finlay Donovan book of the entire series. The story kept it's pace the entire time, leaving me at edge of my seat from cover to cover.

What's supposed to be a quick get away for Finlay and Vero to Atlantic City (to find a kidnapped friend of course), turns into a family vacation as Steven insists on joining with the kids, and Finlay's mom insists on making it a fully developed girls weekend. When the car-full of Finlay's closest loved ones arrive to their hotel in Atlantic City, they find themselves in another unfortunate mess.

This was the perfect read coming off the heels of Vero's short story. She no longer feels like a secondary character to Finlay that spouts her witty 1-liners and checks Steven at every opportunity, but more of an absolutely critical part of getting out of the mess they've found themselves in. This is even better with the backstory of her relationship with Javi. You find yourself rooting for both of the girlies to get the dream life they deserve.

We also get some notable character development out of Finlay in this book. Less and less does it feel like things are just happening around & to her. Instead, she shows some agency and takes matters into her own hands in Finlay Rolls the Dice. She calls the shots on how the story will play out & we've needed that from her- she's brilliant & she's finally recognizing it.

If I had one note, it would be about a few plot conveniences- front desk reps asking so few questions, and just in the nick of time escapes for Finlay, Vero (and several of the other crew). All in all though, it's still an incredible story and hands-down the best in the series this far.

It’s hard to gather my thoughts together while writing a review when I’m avoiding spoilers for a series I’m enjoying so much! This book has even more going on than ever. And it’s so much fun!

Every turn of the page with this book brought some crazy twists and turns and the author pulls them together so well.

Finlay and Vero (and company) are headed to Atlantic City to rescue (let’s say, a friend) with Steven, Finlay’s mom (who is a riot), and kids in tow. The action doesn’t stop. Of course there are laugh out loud moments, crazy characters and sometimes I think to myself, what will the author think of next, how will they get out of this, and how will she bring it all together? I laughed, gasped, and yelled, no way, while reading. I am so excited for the next book.

Thank you to the publisher who graciously offered this series as Read Now on NetGalley. All views are my own.

Nick CLEARLY knows more than he lets on. How long will he and Finlay dance around it? Even though that’s been a big tease for the last two books now I’m still hooked. This story was much better than the last Finlay book. As with the other books it ends on a cliffhanger setting up the next book.

This was a fun read! I loved the characters and the humor that this book had! The plot was fun to follow along to and enjoyable to read about and explore the mystery in this book! This was quite a fast read with about 300 pages helping the story move along at a great pace that keeps you interested and wanting more! Can’t wait to go back and read the first three books in that series after finished this wild ride of a book! Definitely recommend giving this one a read!

Finlay, Vero, the WHOLE family and the police department take their adventures to Atlantic City. I would love to see this book as a movie with the outfits the ladies wear to be disguised! Can’t wait to read the next one!

Finlay Donovan and her nanny/partner-in-crime Vero are in sore need of a girls’ weekend away. They plan a trip to Atlantic City, but odds are—seeing as it’s actually a cover story to negotiate a deal with a dangerous loan shark, save Vero’s childhood crush Javi, and hunt down a stolen car—it won’t be all fun and games. When Finlay’s ex-husband Steven and her mother insist on tagging along too, Finlay and Vero suddenly have a few too many meddlesome passengers along for the ride.

Within hours of arriving in their seedy casino hotel, it becomes clear their rescue mission is going to be a bust. Javi’s kidnapper, Marco, refuses to negotiate, demanding payment in full in exchange for Javi’s life. But that’s not all—he insists on knowing the whereabouts of his missing nephew, Ike, who mysteriously disappeared. Unable to confess what really happened to Ike, Finlay and Vero are forced to come up with a new plan: sleuth out the location of Javi and the Aston Martin, then steal them both back.

Another great installment of Finlay and Vero! It's road trip time! I adored this. Filled with Cosimano's wonderful sense of humor, this is another ride for the ages. I love all these books, and this one is no exception! 4⭐

I received an advanced complimentary digital copy of this book from Netgalley. Opinions expressed are my own.

The continued adventures of Finley and Vero finally have some resemblance of resolution. It’s good to see some of the silly story lines get wrapped and hopefully have a few characters reach a happier ending. But if you have not read this far, it’s confusing and weird to jump on the bandwagon here.

Elle Cosimano’s Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice is a rollercoaster of suspense and humor, plunging readers into a whirlwind of chaos and crime. Finlay, a struggling author and single mom, accidentally entangles herself in a murder plot, blurring the lines between fiction and reality. The narrative deftly weaves themes of identity and deception, as Finlay navigates a web of unreliable alliances. The characters, especially Finlay, are delightfully unpredictable, adding layers of intrigue. With a brisk, relentless pace, this novel grips you from start to finish. A must-read for fans of clever mysteries with a darkly comedic edge.

Finlay and Vero are back at it again, with another fun and crazy adventure. This is one of those books that is soooo unrealistic, but the humor makes it a fun read anyway. Definitely good for when you need a more lighthearted read or palette cleanser between other books. You absolutely have to suspend belief, but Cosimano's witty writing makes this possible. Definitely would recommend this entire series!

I love listening to this series on audiobook. Finlay and Vero are two of my all-time favorite characters and Angela Dawe brings life to them in such an amazing way. The sarcasm and sass in Elle Cosimano's words is just so fun to listen to. Can’t wait to read Vero’s side story next.

This book takes off right where the last one ended, this time the two are setting off to Atlantic City for a girls weekend, but they have some Tagalongs with Steven and Finlay’s mom joining for sake of irritation.

Of course they aren’t just there for fun, the bad guys are still circling and they are pulled right into the middle again. This time they are in a search for Javi, who has gone missing.

Javi and Vero finally get their hookup in this one, which I loved. I had been waiting for that one for a while. The number of characters and story lines had me lost a bit in the middle, but it came together in the end, having me excited for the next installment. Super fun as always!

Another enjoyable adventure of Finley Donovan!! This one was a lot of fun and felt like a good ending but there is another one on the way. This series is an auto buy from me.

I received a copy from netgalley and the publisher.

I really enjoyed this series! Although the main character drove me absolutely nuts at times, I still enjoyed her overall. She made terrible decisions and was reckless but somehow, it always worked out.

The 4th installment of the Finlay Donovan series and honestly my least favorite thus far.
Finlay is full of luck as always but also gets herself into situations she shouldnt. Everyone feels the need to travel along on this mission!
This one was just too out of reach for me but Im hoping the next one will go back to the greatness of the others!

Thank you to NetGalley and St Martins Press for a copy in exchange for my honest review!

Admittedly, anything Finlay Donovan is an instant 5 star for me. I loved the story of this book. I loved that it was really centered more about Vero + her long time love. The characters were excellent as well as the plot - plus being based in AC was a win as a Jersey Girl.

I have had this series recommended to multiple times and finally decided to dig in. It is a fun book.

I’ve been a fan of the Finlay Donovan series since book one, and Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice did not disappoint! This book is exactly what I’ve come to love about the series: it’s laugh-out-loud funny while still managing to deliver a strong plot. Elle Cosimano has perfected the art of mixing ridiculous, over-the-top situations with moments that make you think, "Wait, I can actually see this happening!" It’s such a fun, escapist read that always leaves me grinning.

In this fourth installment, Finlay and her trusty partner-in-crime Vero are headed to Atlantic City to save Vero’s boyfriend Javi, who’s been kidnapped. But of course, this is Finlay’s life, so things can’t go smoothly. Finlay’s ex-husband Steven insists on tagging along with their kids, and—surprise, surprise—Finlay’s mom decides to drive them all. The chaos that ensues is pure comedy gold. The family dynamic adds even more flavor to the already absurd situation, and I found myself laughing throughout the entire book.

What I really appreciated about this book was the balance it struck. While it’s hilarious, the plot doesn’t take a backseat to the comedy. There’s a real mission behind all the chaos, with high stakes, suspense, and a mystery that kept me hooked. The twists and turns—especially with Javi’s kidnapping and the mysterious disappearance of Ike—kept me on my toes. And let’s not forget the jaw-dropping moment when Finlay and Vero stumble upon a very dead loan shark in a casino suite… Things just got real.

Finlay’s journey in this book also feels like it’s wrapping up a lot of the ongoing issues she’s faced in the series so far, and I couldn’t help but wonder if this was the end of the series. But fear not! A fifth book is already on the horizon, and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

This series is one of those where you just need to sit back and enjoy the ride. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, and it’s exactly what I needed—a lighthearted, fun, and laugh-out-loud adventure. If you’re looking for a book that balances suspense, humor, and some seriously quirky characters, Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice is the perfect pick!

I have this recurring feeling when I read these. It's like, I reading, I'm reading, I let my attention drift for four seconds while contemplating what I'm going to make for dinner or whatever and I miss something VITALY IMPORTANT and have to go back. It's annoying, honestly.

Girls trip! Hitch a ride to Atlantic City with Finlay and Vero- there's plenty of room in the minivan. This is the fourth installment in a series, which picks up right after book #3, and is best read as a series and in order.

The Finlay Donovan series is a quirky, fast-paced, and over-the-top read. Fans of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series might enjoy this series as well.
