Loved this book! I look forward to The Finlay Donovan series every year, Thank you net galley for giving me the opportunity to review this arc

I was given advanced access to Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice in exchange for an honest review. Thanks NetGalley!
This is the 4th book in the Finlay Donovan Series. If you haven't read the first three, I highly recommend you do!
I read in another review that its nice old plots are wrapped up in this book. I have to agree, I'm glad that happened in this book. I'm ready for some fresh drama. Love the relationship between Vero and Finn (and really all the characters), so I'm hoping there is a book #5,

Finlay Donvan can roll the dice around here anytime.
When a girls weekend in Atlantic City turns into SO MUCH MORE,
Missing people, dead bodies, ex-husbands. Life is never simple for Finalay. Never.
But boy, is it entertaining for us!

Now that Vero and Finlay have unearthed the agent on the police force who is working for Viktor, and Vero's past is catching up to her, they head to Atlantic City to track down a missing Aston Martin. When Finlay's ex hears about the "girls trip" he decides to tag along with the kids to keep an eye on Finlay. Soon, tag-alongs include Finlay's mom and a select group of the police force (Hello, Nick!). While in Atlantic City, shenanigans begin to stack up with the bets, as do shady dealings and, of course, dead bodies.
Of the Finlay Donovan books, this one moved at a seemingly manic pace. All the characters, all the climbing fences and shimmying through ductwork, all the chases (toddlers in casinos! hiding out in a fortune-tellers shop!), all the romance, made for a mad, mad, mad, mad world.
I read this book for free thanks to a Minotaur and NetGalley promotion for the newest Finlay Donovan coming out in March 2025. I am not compensated for my review.

I love Finlay and Vero's adventures and this one was a fun ride. I will continue to read anything in this series!

Elle Cosimano’s Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice takes readers on another rollercoaster ride of hilarity, chaos, and high-stakes mystery. In the third installment of the Finlay Donovan series, Cosimano once again delivers her signature blend of sharp wit, suspenseful storytelling, and deeply relatable moments that make this series so irresistible.
This time, Finlay Donovan finds herself thrust into a gamble she never intended to take. A chance encounter at a high-stakes charity poker game leads her into a tangled web of secrets, deception, and, of course, murder. With her trusty partner-in-crime, Vero, by her side, Finlay must bluff her way through a dangerous game of cat and mouse, all while trying to keep her personal life from unraveling.
Cosimano’s knack for creating relatable chaos is on full display, as Finlay juggles the demands of single motherhood, her ex-husband’s antics, and her increasingly unpredictable "side hustle." The fast-paced narrative is peppered with laugh-out-loud moments and clever twists that keep readers turning pages late into the night.
The relationship between Finlay and Vero remains a highlight of the series. Their friendship, filled with hilarious banter and heartfelt support, is as entertaining as it is endearing. Meanwhile, Cosimano introduces new characters and unexpected developments that keep the story fresh and engaging.
What sets this series apart is its ability to balance humor with genuine emotional depth. Finlay’s struggles with self-doubt, relationships, and navigating life’s curveballs make her a protagonist readers can’t help but root for.
Rating: 5/5
Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice is another knockout in a series that continues to charm and surprise. Elle Cosimano expertly combines laugh-out-loud comedy with a gripping mystery, proving once again that Finlay Donovan is a force to be reckoned with. Fans of the series will not be disappointed, and new readers will quickly understand why everyone is talking about Finlay Donovan. A must-read for lovers of clever, lighthearted mysteries with heart.

I had so much fun with this! I loved all the hijinks Finlay and Vero had to do to evade Nick, the cops, and her ex-husband as she tried to solve the latest murder.
After finding the last book less engaging, I was thrilled to find myself completely swept away with this one. I can’t wait to see what Finlay gets up to in the next book!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!

Another good addition to this story. This one was a fun romp through Atlantic City with lots of mystery and suspense. Really enjoyable characters as always!

As the fourth book in the Elle Cosimano Finlay Donovan series, Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice picks up right where our heroines left off at the end of the previous story. It opens with a hilarious scene which sets the stage for a crazy adventure to New Jersey. When Vero’s childhood friend and former boyfriend Javi is kidnapped by the loan shark who seeks repayment for her lost marker, Finlay decides they need a girls’ trip to Atlantic City to save him. Steven won’t allow Finlay to take the kids out of state without him, and then her mother shows up and wants in on the road trip as well. What could possibly go wrong?
Of course, the rescue mission gets more difficult with the arrival of some police friends from back home. Throw in a couple of dead bodies, a missing car, and more unexpected familiar faces and Finlay is about to lose her mind. This is a fun read with Weekend at Bernie’s meets Oceans 11 vibes. Fans of Vero and Finlay’s previous stories will devour this one, too. Laughter is 100% guaranteed!
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the copy of the book in preparation for the upcoming release of the latest in the series Finlay Donovan Digs Her Own Grave, available in March 2025. All opinions are my own.

If you are looking for a fun series that is mystery, but not too suspenseful, this is the series for you. The Finley Donovan series is great. I have enjoyed all of them.

In the fourth book of the Finlay Donovan series, Finlay and Vero take on Atlantic City! The trouble is they aren’t in it alone. As basically the whole family and a slew of cops tag along, things get complicated. This one is probably my favorite of the series so far! There were so many layers going on and I found myself surprised at many points throughout the story. I can’t wait for the next installment!
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press | Minotaur Books for the chance to read this book!

Finlay and Vero are such lovable characters. I felt like this one was a slow start, but it did pick up towards the second half. I love a happy, bow tie ending even if they are far fetched.

Atlantic City, loan sharks, kidnapping, dead bodies, hot cops, just another regular weekend for Finlay and Vero - and a few uninvited guests and that darned mafia!

This continues to be a solid series, although all the things these people have been through over a couple of months - wow! Finlay and Vero continue to get into bizarre and zany situations that are fun to picture.
I do wish there were more of a summary of the previous books at the beginning of this one, because there are a lot of characters and motives and murders to track.

Finlay and Vero travel to Atlantic City in search of Vero's boyfriend, a stolen car and to make a deal with a loan shark. Finlay's ex-husband and mother tag along complicating matters. When the police start to close in, Finlay must not cave under the pressure.

Once again love me some Finlay Donovan! I am so glad that I get to read more of this story. I love this plot, Atlantic City! Yes! This was fun ride and who knew that dynamic duo was just want I needed. Highly recommend and definitely loved it. Not perfect as the first one but definitely up there! Thank you NetGalley for the arc!

Now we're going on a road trip! And with a couple extra passengers just for more fun. The story continues in a light hearted, sometimes a little contrived, but never dull. Sit down and enjoy.

Finlay and Vero are off to Vegas, baby! Er, Atlantic City, baby! (Doesn’t quite have the same ring to it…) A lot of the loose ends hanging around from previous books get tied up here. Finlay’s husband is finally waking up/growing up a bit. Plenty of slapstick, as usual. Pretty sure Cam the kid tech genius is becoming my favorite character.

I’m glad this book was set in a different location. It gave the series a refreshing change of pace. And the story arc with Felix and his goons wrapped up (or so it seems) nicely.

Road trips in books just get me every time. I love the mystery aspect that's included and the dynamic duo's banter just is the cherry on top.
