Thank you Minotaur Books for the advance copy. All opinions are my own.

On one hand, it’s nice to see Elle not straying far from her Finlay game plan. Finlay is still a mess. She is still in a web of lies. And yet, I found most of this book lacking. It didn’t have a shine like the others. Still, I shall read the next!

Book Review: Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice by Elle Cosimano
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4 Stars)

Finlay and Vero are at it again, and I couldn’t be happier to dive back into their wild, law-skirting, completely chaotic world! Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice delivers exactly what I love about this series—off-the-wall shenanigans, hilarious banter, and a mystery that keeps me flipping pages at breakneck speed.

This time, Finlay and Vero take their antics to Vegas in a high-stakes, high-chaos adventure that somehow includes the Russian mob, a missing husband, and an unexpected road trip. As always, their ride-or-die friendship is the heart of the story, and I loved every second of their dysfunctional, crime-adjacent problem-solving. The humor is on point, the tension keeps you hooked, and Elle Cosimano continues to prove why this series is so binge-worthy.
An absolute blast, and I’ll be reading every single book Elle Cosimano writes in this series. If you love Finlay and Vero’s signature brand of chaos, buckle up—this one’s a fun ride!

✨ Final Verdict: Fast-paced, funny, and full of twists—Finlay Donovan fans will eat this up!

I love this series. This one, like the others, is low stakes and fun.

Finlay and Vero are off to Atlantic City in this installment where they continue to find dead bodies. Ridiculousness ensues.

Finlay can't stay out of trouble..lol. This is a cute small-town mystery filled with twists and humorous turns. Nice palette cleanser
I am enjoying the writing style of Ellie Cosimano.

Thank you Netgalley, St. Martin's Press | Minotaur Books, and Elle Cosimano for the ARC of this cozy mystery.

Finley Donovan fans hit a jackpot with this Vegas-setting installment of the series!

When Vero’s cousin is kidnapped by loan sharks for her debt, they must rescue him without getting caught which grows more difficult when Finley’s ex insists he accompany them and a certain sexy cop shows up too!

As with all Finley books the plot twists and turns in ways you can’t anticipate with Vero and Fin narrowly dodging the hijinx they encounter

This series is a favorite for a reason!

Finlay and Vero do Vegas!

This duo just keep digging themselves deeper into trouble. With each step forward it’s two dead bodies back. And I’m here for every step of the way. I loved this madcap adventure as it included an ex husband, children, a mother and a mashup of other characters that added danger, drama and humor with every twist and turn. The Vero and Javi storyline takes an interesting turn and of course things are moving forward with Finlay and her hot detective. Overall a fun read with a great mystery.

Oh my gosh, Finlay and Vero just need a giant bubble that they cannot escape from. Seriously, these two are upto no good (they are trying hard to be good) again. A rescue, hot boyfriends, a bloating corpse, an ex husband, mom and kids are all part of the current chaos in Finlays life. Will she be able to juggle through and get out alive and out of jail???

Hilarious, light read as always and the romance is firmly in 0lace with Nick.

A fun continuation of the series. It is always amusing to see how Finlay and Vero manage to get themselves out of the messes they create!

Elle Cosimano has done it again! I absolutely love how humorous this mystery is. Though Finlay does keep looking for trouble, she always seems to find herself in a situation where she could be viewed as the prime suspect! I enjoy how this one has a new setting (Atlantic City), it adds many humorous moments.

Well, Finlay and Vero are back at it. The pair decides they are going to take the kids on a "girls trip" to Atlantic City, but Steven and Finlay's mom ends up road tripping and tagging along. While there, Vero and Finlay's real plans are to make a deal with the loan shark that has been out to get Vero. The pair decide to try and sneak into the loan shark's hotel room and find more than they bargained for.....two dead bodies. Upon returning to the hotel, they find out that four police members from their local department show up in the same hotel to do some detective work of their own- including Georgia and Nick. Surely these two can't get out of this mess as easily as before, can they?

This was another cute addition to the series. At this point, I will keep reading the books in the series unless it starts to get really bad. But for now, Finlay and Vero are entertaining and their personalities really come to life in this series!

Finlay and the whole gang pack up for a trip to Atlantic City. Of course they end up finding a dead bookie that they have to figure out what to do with- and don't forget about Kevin Bacon!

It has taken me a while to get into this series. The first 2 books I was just stressed out the whole time as I tried to suspend disbelief. Now, I am able to just enjoy the ride --and what a ride this addition to the series is! My favorite so far, it offers more funny moments than the others and gives the reader some satisfying moments in bringing closure to a few of the hanging threads throughout the series, while still leaving room for another book.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Elle Cosimano for providing me with a complimentary digital ARC for Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice. The honest opinions expressed in this review are my own.

This is a really fun series and I love it. There are a lot of shenanigans going on. I’m really not sure why the ex-husband is so involved still besides being the children’s father. I still don’t really like his character. But I’ll continue the series.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys mysteries!

In her latest escapade, Finlay Donovan takes her signature chaos on a road trip to Atlantic City, but what starts as a "girls’ weekend" quickly spirals into a comedy of errors involving kids, an ex, a parent, and a generous dose of criminal activity.

Felix, the ever-persistent Russian mob boss, is still on Finlay’s trail, but that's not her only problem. When one of Vera and Finlay’s dubious associates turns up dead, the stakes skyrocket. With the cops sniffing around—especially Nick, whose interest in Finlay goes beyond professional—the duo must tread carefully. Can they crack the murder case, rescue an old flame, and evade Felix’s grasp without completely losing their minds?

Much like a James Bond movie, this installment requires a bit of suspension of disbelief. But who cares when there’s this much humor and heart? The hilariously absurd situations and witty banter keep the pages turning. By the end, you'll be satisfied yet eagerly awaiting book five to see what wild adventure Finlay stumbles into next.

Finlay Donovan is a hoot! I read two books in a row: Finlay Donovan Knocks 'Em Dead and Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice. They follow each other in time which was lovely. Finlay is a divorced mom of two, a writer who is always behind on deadlines and when she does write, uses her own crazy, sexy life for inspiration. She is one of those women who is street smart and dumb with men--until this last book (we hope!) Her ex is unbelievably
obnoxious and stupid and one wonders how she ever.....If she says 'boo', he is suspicious of her motive.

She has managed to get mixed up with the mob in three books, finagles her way out of being killed many times, often with the aid of her 'babysitter/nanny' who she knows little about but has a temper on her that could set a house of fire. The two are 'bad buddies' like Robert Redford and Paul Newman. One can only hope they have a better future.

These books are well written and fun to read. Perfect for an evening when you want to forget the world and step off. The plots are good and you don't care that they often don't make sense because Finlay is fun and the books are fun.

This series is continues it's humor and mystery! I am so here for it. It continues from book 3 and the ending has me itching to go to number 5 (releasing soon!).
What was suppose to be "a girls weekend" turns into everyone exploring the Jersey Shore and causing trouble while trying to cover their own tracks and Finlay trying to keep her ex-husband from being the constant punching bag for Vero and her mother. I am still not a fan of Steven, but he's still hanging around so there has to be a reason for it.
The Epilogue had me cackling

What fun! A girls trip to Atlantic City! What can go wrong? Well everything goes wrong. Mom and Steven invite themselves. So the children are along too. How can Finlay and Vero find Javi and a stolen car with all the people hanging around. And why is Nick and Georgia there too? With their partners too so 4 more adults. Can Finley and Vero sneak around to get the job done? Another fun story for Finlay. I do like her crazy schemes.

Finlay and crew head to Atlantic City, supposedly for a girls’ weekend but actually still looking for the luxury car and try to negotiate with a loan shark. When hot cop Nick and the FBI show up, Finlay and Vero have to get creative with their plans. Oh, and there are some dead guys and Vero’s DEFINITELY NOT BOYFRIEND Javi has been kidnapped. Chaos - and hilarity - abound in this installment.

This brings me up to date with the Finlay Donovan books, until the 5th one arrives in March. I’ve enjoyed this series so far and can see enjoying in into the future. I like the main cast of characters (except Steven - gag!) and the stories are entertaining. I liked this one quite a bit and was glad to find the series hasn’t gotten dull. Laugh out loud at times, holding my breath at others.

Okay, okay, scratch everything I said before — this might just be my favorite of the series so far! While the last book had me stressed to the max, this one had me rolling with laughter one minute and side-eyeing everyone the next. The perfect mix of suspense and comedy, Elle Cosimano absolutely nails it once again.

Vera and Finlay are such a team in this book. Their bond is just everything! It brought back all the feels from the very first book in the series — you can really see how their friendship has grown, and it makes every moment they share together feel like pure gold. These two are unstoppable, and I can’t get enough of their dynamic.

Now, let’s talk about Javi. I’ve always liked him, but now? I’m a full-on fan. The chemistry between him and Vera is undeniable, and the fact that they’re starting to make way for something more? I’m here for it! But, of course, the big question is… can Javi convince Vera to give it a shot? I’m rooting for them, but it’s going to be interesting to see how this all plays out.

As for Nick and Finlay, they’re definitely finding their groove, even with Steve across the hall, which, let’s be honest, makes me super nervous for their relationship. Finlay has some serious explaining to do, and I’m just sitting here waiting for everything to come to light.

And speaking of Steve — oh my gosh, Steve. Serves you right for inserting yourself into a girls’ weekend and then complaining non-stop about it. Honestly, you’re giving off some seriously creepy vibes, and I’m not here for it. Get it together, dude.

All in all, this book had me laughing, cringing, and gasping in shock all in the same chapter. It’s fast-paced, full of suspense, and just such a fun ride. If you’ve been following this series, you have to pick this one up — it’s got everything!
