3.5 rounded down. These are always light and fluffy fun reads. I thought this one was a little slower than the others. But good palate cleanser after some intense thrillers.

Finlay and Very are back for another wild adventures. And this time, they're heading to Atlantic City. Like all of the previous books in the series, this one had me laughing within just the first couple of pages. I love these characters and was looking forward to following them and watching them solve another mystery.
This one featured many of Finlay's family members, whether she wanted them to be there or not! It's another fun installment to the series and I look forward to seeing what Elle Cosimano can come up with next!

Literal perfection in every single Finlay Donovan book, I love these characters and the sassy writing SO MUCH AHHHH ❤️
Also, Vero and Javi in this book were EVERYTHING TO ME
ALSO ALSO, Finlay being THE mommy boss bitch was absolutely perfect character development 😭
-- ty to the author, the publisher and Netgalley for an advanced copy!

Fun and light for the summer. I did feel like this one dragged on a bit, and I accidentally read it out of order in the series so I missed part of the action. These are all fun stories and enjoyable reads, but they do all seem to run together. I get that it’s a continuation of the story- they take place in quick succession, but since they are long anyway, it’s like reading an exceptionally long book when you tie two together and I was ready for something different.

I really enjoy Finlay Donovan series, it's a fun, fast pace ride.
Finlay is such a relatable woman and a mom and I like following her life and all the hot mess she gets herself into.
Thank you NetGalley, St. Martin's Press and the author for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

The Finlay Donovan series was cute and fun. I enjoyed the main character and everything she got into. I will continue this series.

This is not my typical go-to content but it was a "Read Now" on NetGalley and I'm kinda a sucker for free shit, so I grabbed it. Honestly gotta say this took me by surprise and I really enjoyed it! I can't say too much without giving things away, but I will say that it was unexpected in a great way, and I will be reading more of this series.

Vero & Finlay are at it again! This time they must save Javi! Such a fun read. I can’t help but think of I Love Lucy when I read these books 😂

I love this series so much! I love all of the characters and the fun, crazy adventures they get into. This one had a fun cliff hanger and I cannot wait to jump into the next one! Definitely one of my favorite cozy, mystery book series! And I don’t even like series books that much!

I’ve been listening to the audiobooks, and I just love the narrator, Angela Dawe, so much. She does a great job switching up her voice for every character! The stories seem to fly by for me, too.
After not enjoying the plot of book three quite as much as the first two, I was once again sucked into the plot of book four. It’s suspenseful without being scary, and I love the bits of humor that the author always manages to scatter throughout these books.
Thank you so much to Minotaur Books for the free copies of the Finlay Donovan series!

This series just keeps getting better! I love the focus on female friendships on this book. Beto and Finlay’s relationship is the absolute best. I am glad they’re also (sort of) getting happy endings in their romantic lives too. I know the other shoe is eventually going to drop either way Nick and Vero’s issue with her sorority is still hanging over her, but for a minute, they’re free of the mob and all the hijinks that came with it. I’m curious to see the direction this series goes in now that most of that is wrapped up.

Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice is Elle Cosimano‘s fifth book in her mystery/thriller series, Finlay Donovan. It should be read after Finlay Donovan Is Killing It , Finlay Donovan Knocks ‘Em Dead., Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun, and Veronica Ruiz Breaks the Bank.
31-year-old Finlay Donovan is a stressed-out single-mom of two and a struggling novelist, reeling from her husband’s affair with their real estate agent. Her life is in chaos as she juggles parenting two preschoolers while trying to find inspiration to meet her writing deadline. She frequently needs her ex-husband to bail her out financially. While she seems like a hot mess, she has a lot on her plate and is still dealing with the emotional fall-out from her husband’s betrayal.
Finlay Donovan and her nanny/partner-in-crime, Vero, plan a girls’ weekend away to Atlantic City. In reality, they’re trying to save Vero’s childhood crush, Javi, negotiate a deal with a dangerous loan shark, and hunt down a stolen Aston Martin. Their plans are thwarted when Finlay’s ex-husband, Steven, and her mother insist on coming too. When the arrive at their seedy hotel, they realize that Javi’s kidnapper, Marco, doesn’t want to negotiate with them. He demands payment in full and the location of his missing nephew in exchange for Javi’s life. While Finley and Vero try to hatch a new plan, their week-end becomes more complicated when Marco turns up dead. Then the police show up, including Finlay’s “friend”, Detective Nick.
Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice is a fast-paced, clean and hilarious story about a young mother whose life is in the toilet. The descriptions of motherhood are spot-on, while Finlay’s adventures are pure escapist comedy. It’s a definite page-turner that will leave readers begging for a sequel. The Finlay Donovan series would make an excellent TV show.
I received an advance review copy (ARC) from NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Finlay and Vero continue to be a dynamic duo, chasing the bad guys and being hilarious while doing so. I loved their antics in Atlantic City and and misfortune never ceases to find them. Also loved seeing a little more of Vero and her back story.

This was another fantastic addition to this series. Lots of fun, humor, twists and turns. And definitely the most intriguing ending of all of them! Can’t wait for the next one!

I continue to loathe the Finlay Donovan books but I also continue to read them, which probably says more about me than FInlay Donovan. I'm leaving extremely confusing reviews on my library's website about it.

Still loving this series and find it very fun, but I am very over Steven and am at a point where I don't want to read anymore about his drama and double standards. I'm a little nervous since his criminal history seems to be the likely next book focus...

I hate to say this, but I feel like at this point I am hate reading this series. Yes it’s an easy read and entertaining, but the outlandish situations that Finlay finds herself in are just getting to be obnoxious to me. But will I continue? Yes.

Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice gave me exactly what I wanted: chaos, charm, and just enough unexpected depth to keep me emotionally invested. The Vegas setting brought an extra layer of delightful absurdity, and the friendship between Finlay and Vero had me smiling through the madness. While some plot twists stretched belief, I was too entertained to care much. A wild ride with heart — and a heroine I’m always rooting for.

There was a lot going on in this book!!
This was probably my least favorite in the series thus far just because it was a little harder for me to faller. But finally Finlay gets together with Nick 😘

Trip to Vegas

This one was crazy! Finlay and Vero have to navigate around Steven, her mom and children, and even Nick while trying to rescue Javi from his loan shark kidnapper. I was tense the whole time because I was certain someone would figure out what they were up to with all the sneaking back and forth! The pacing was fast paced and the humor was top notch (and a little dark) as always!
Thank you so much St. Martin's Press, NetGalley and author for the digital review copy.
