Quick read. While reading, always guessing and trying to solve the mystery. Plot kept me curious the whole time.

Love this series! So funny and the perfect cozy mystery with a bit of romance. Love all the side characters and I always laugh at these books!

This is the fourth book in the Finlay Donovon series. It’s nice to be back in the world with Finlay and her nanny Vero. They are heading to Atlantic City but end up get into a tangle with some loan sharks and a kidnapping story.

This book wasn’t as successful for me as the first three. It seemed like more of a stretch and lacked some of the charm from the first ones. I’m not sure if it was the writing or if I need to take more time in between books so I can begin to miss the world. I do still recommend this book and will continue reading the series.

Finlay Donovan and Vero never fail to put a smile on my face. Their friendship is everything—loyal, hilarious, and the ultimate definition of ride-or-die. In this book, their "girls’ weekend" to Atlantic City spirals into a tangled mess of danger, mystery, and pure chaos, and I loved every second of it.

I really loved that we got more of Vero’s backstory and the connection with Javi. It added so much depth to her character, and I found myself rooting for her even more. And, of course, Finlay’s family antics were as ridiculous and entertaining as ever—her ex-husband Steven tagging along was both infuriating and laugh-out-loud funny.

Speaking of dynamics, I love Finlay and Nick together so much! Their chemistry is amazing, and their moments had me grinning like an idiot. The added tension with Steven trying to win Finlay back kept things even more interesting.

Elle Cosimano has such a knack for balancing laugh-out-loud humor with heartfelt moments and fast-paced action. The twists in this story caught me off guard, and the stakes felt higher than ever.

While you could technically jump into this book without reading the others, I really recommend starting from the beginning. The character growth and backstory make this series even more rewarding.

If you’re into fast-paced mysteries with humor, heart, and a dash of romance, this one’s for you. I can’t wait to see what Finlay and Vero get up to next!

I would totally report this woman to child services for irresponsible parenting. I don't understand who is watching the kids and taking care of them while she's running around pretending she's childfree and having fun. Aside form the complaining about how she needs money for them, she doesn't actually show any motherly concern or do anything with or for them. Isn't the whole point of her existence that she does all these crazy things so she can provide for her kids.

Finlay Donovan is the human embodiment of hijinks. Loved seeing all of the characters mashed together in one city! Can't wait for book five, especially now that a couple of the main threats were eliminated.

I absolutely love this series. It’s the perfect mix of cozy mystery, romance, and real life. Finlay Donovan rolls the dice might be my favorite so far because we get to see real life struggles within the family dynamic more than ever before.

Finlay and Vero are off on an unforgettable fast paced road trip. There are a few speed bumps along the way. It is nice to see some story lines come to an end, but there are still plenty of secrets among this group. I truly enjoyed this story, there was plenty of crazy to digest and stay interested. Overall this was fun and had laugh-out-loud moments for me.

Part of the fun of these books is the outrageous plot! Finlay and Vero are at it again and I am here for it! Such a fun series! Keep it up Elle!

Another hilarious caper featuring Finlay Donovan and Vero. This book continues the adventure of the previous 3 books-and Vero and Finlay have to find the stolen car with Javi, Vero's childhood crush. The chase takes them to Atlantic City, where the entire family ends up (including Finlay's ex, her kids, her mother, sister, and Nick, her hot cop lover). They are trying to find a mob boss, money, and the missing Javi. What they don't expect to find are more dead bodies!
When you think the case will finally be over, another jaw dropping twist happens.
Laugh out loud funny - this would make a great TV series!

Finlay Donovan books are so fun! They keep me engaged, laughing and I really enjoy the writing. I always get worried when authors write so many books in a series, but she always does a great job not making anything repetitive.

"Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice" was a good addition to the series. The plot was even more outlandish than prior books, and it was amusing to see how Finlay and Vero managed to complete their objectives in Atlantic City despite the presence of Finlay’s children, mother, and ex-husband and then the unexpected appearance of Nick, Georgia, Sam and Charlie. The story has lots of humorous moments, including the confusion about Kevin Bacon. Some enemies will finally be dealt with decisively.

Finlay Donovan and crew on a road trip?! Sign me up. Love these characters and the trouble they get into. Can’t wait to see what happens next!

Another hilarious Finlay Donovan book. This one is set in the seediness of Atlantic City. It has the hijinks you expect as well as the action. These books are really funny and I enjoyed all the characters who came together in this one. Very entertaining!

I love, love, love the Finlay Donovan series. It's relatable, comical, thrilling and a LOT of fun. I'm very excited to re-read these in anticipation of Finlay Donovan Digs Her Grave. Publishing March 4, 2025!

4th in series and easy, fun read just like the previous 3 books. As usual Finlay and Vero get in all sorts of trouble :)

THIS TIME Vero and Finlay take a "girls trip" to Atlantic City where they actually face down loan sharks in attempt to rescue Vero's cousin Javi.
The best part about this story line/book: Stephen the ex and Finlay's mom insist on coming along to help with the kids...adding an entirely extra barrier to keeping things hush hush for Finlay and Vero.
Detective Nick is, again, part of the story, and remains very close to Finlay when he shows up to investigate things.
Crazy mystery/heist/thriller/dead bodies, hiding it all from your new-ish boyfriend while your Ex-husband, mother, and nanny are all within a few miles of each other....what could go wrong?!

Yeah, I was right. This series started to go downhill. Although, I do think that this book is better than the last one. That one was really boring.

This book had a little more plot than the last one, Finlay and Vero (her side-kick) decide to take a little trip to Atlantic City. But it's not all for fun because they have to deal with their now regular kind of criminal drama and chaos.

The humor is now becoming too obvious and silly, not the fun and light-hearted thing it used to be. These are still entertaining books, they're just starting to get rather lackluster and stagnant. I just want more from them.

And due to this constant downhill trajectory we're going on with this series, I do think that this will be my last Finlay Donovan read. Sorry, it's been a fun, silly-goofy little adventure while it lasted (for me).
