Live this series. The books make me laugh all the time. Great way to unwind. Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book

This book is the fourth installment of the Finlay Donovan series. While this book was funny and fast paced like the other novels, I didn't love this one as much. There was WAY too much going on and I just personally didn't like the Atlantic City setting for this one. It was still a good time and I liked the way some of the overarching plot lines got resolved and set up book five.

I came late to the game and I love these books. They are so funny and their relationship is so good and reminds me of my bestie. I do wish we got a little more Vera but I still loved it. The little situations they get themselves into is so funny.

Good humor as well as actions and adventures! This story has further development on the supporting characters: Vero, Finlay's mom, Finlay's sister, and Finlay's ex. I enjoyed the story.

This is the 4th book in the Finlay Donovan series.
This series has quickly become a favorite of mine. Finlay and Vero have the worst and best luck, and it's hilariously written.
From poopy diapers to romance, this book has it all. In all seriousness though, I can easily see myself as Finlay. Confused, funny, struggling financially, and having weird things happen to her.
I look forward to reading the next book.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this ARC

I was wondering if this series would putter out, but honestly it’s still been a fun read. I’ve enjoyed the humor so much and it’s always refreshing and an adventure. I love this series and I’m so excited to read the next. This one was a fantastic addition to the series!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an advance copy of Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice by Elle Cosimano in exchange for my honest review and opinion. I was elated to be approved to read this ahead of all my friends and family as this is one fantastic series. Each book gets funnier and funnier to read and it's such a nice way to escape the craziness of life! I can't wait for book #5!

Who doesn't love a road trip? These books have always been so fun for me to read and this one was no different. There is always the chance with sequels and such that the story gets repetitive and you lose the plot but I think with this series and this being the 4th book they have done a great job keeping it fresh. I'm looking forward to reading the last book in the series and see how Elle Cosimano wraps up this fun and witty series!

Thanks, Minotaur Books, for the book!
This is my favorite Finlay Donovan book. I'm convinced that Elle Cosimano will always make me laugh with this series, and it brings great joy into my life. It's the fourth book in the series, but I already feel we have been through so much with Finlay. What else could we possibly go through? And this is where Cosimano is like, "Hold my beer."
FINLAY DONOVAN ROLLS THE DICE is so unbelievable that it is something you could believe would happen to Finlay Donovan if she were a real person. I love Finlay and Vero's friendship, and I saw their attempt at a weekend getaway getting messed up before they did. But I loved that it got messed because it included everyone in their lives, plus, of course, unexpected dead bodies, since it would be a messy time for them if a murder Finlay hadn't caused didn't appear.
With every book, the banter between the characters gets better, and the silliness of the plot gets sillier, but I love every moment of it. The books make me happy, and I'll continue to read them, laugh, and smile.

This is the 4th book in the Finlay Donovan series, and they keep getting funnier with more and more adventures. The gang is back and off to Atlantic City. This installment is full of comedic scenes, sexual tension, scary bad guys, crooked cops, handsome detectives, an annoying ex-husband, the Russian mob, loan sharks, near death experiences, and the occasional dead body. It would make a great movie or tv mini series. Finlay and Vero make a fantastic duo as they successfully stumble through some dangerous and tense situations. I especailly appreciated that just about ever one we met was in this one. The ex, the new boyfriend, the mother in law, kids and of course her counter part vero. This series gets better with each book.

As the fourth book in a series, I once again appreciate the lack of backstory taking up a chapter or two like other mystery series seem set on doing every single time.
Picking up immediately after the events of Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun, Finlay, her mom, ex-husband, kids, and Vero all take a trip to Atlantic City to rescue Vero's childhood friend and recover the stolen Aston Martin under the guise of a "girls weekend". In an odd twist of fate, we end up with all our favorite characters arriving and chaos ensues.
What I enjoyed the most about this installment is it got back to the friendship of Vero and Finlay and how the two of them navigate and help each other out in absurd situations. Neither of them needs the cops or their boyfriends to help them and I like that they are able to get themselves out of trouble rather than relaying on the used and overplayed damsel in distress trope. Although I do like Nick and Finlay's growing relationship, I do have some slight concerns over how protective/controlling Nick is coming across. He's a bit much too soon and in real life, I would be having red flags flying.
Overall, I enjoyed this one far more than the last since the events although absurd (for those that can't suspend disbelief - absurd is the point), seemed more likely to happen to our girls. I'm glad that the mob plot seems to have been tied up and the next book looks like it can move forward to other mysteries.
Note that this is not a standalone mystery and does require reading the previous novels to understand anything of what is going on. It's worth it though and fans of Janet Evanovich who have grown tired of the lack of forward movement will fully appreciate a series such as this one.
Thank you to NetGalley, Minotaur Books, and Elle Cosimano for an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review.

We finally had a new location for this, and some more interactions with other characters besides Vero and Finlay's harem of men and that was so refreshing omg. Whom I am getting so very tired of reading about, I genuinely do not like any of them or care about anything they do (the men, not Vero). Kind of surprised that the series is still continuing since I felt like almost everything tied up pretty nicely in this, but I love Vero and Javi so I'll still be continuing for now. Hopefully the next storyline won't drag on as long.
Though, now that my brain isn't being cooked via fever while I write my reviews for this series, I finally remembered that I wanted to mention that the characters of color in this are feeling very stereotyped. Don't get me wrong, the Italians and Russians are also walking stereotypes, but the whole auto-shop, criminal/bad-boy thing is uh... not a great look. I don't think it's the worst set of stereotypes they could be given, but yeah. Just thought it was worth mentioning, even if I'm still struggling to form coherent sentences.

This book is another Finlay Donovan story written in the same context as the previous books. It's funny while you are still trying to figure out how Finlay and Vero are going to get out of another mess. This book includes love, suspense, and murder. The protagonists attend a Citizens Police Academy while working to get themselves out of a difficult situation!
I found myself frequently laughing out loud. A dirty cop, some dead men, a quick wedding, a girls' trip to Atlantic City, and an elderly lady entertained with a lap dance (yep, not kidding!) sums up this funny and entertaining book!
If you have read the previous Finlay books and enjoyed them, read this one! It does not disappoint. If you haven't read the Finlay Donovan series, it's time to start. Quirky and funny!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. A huge thanks to the publisher, Minotaur Books, and the author, Elle Cosimano, for the privilege to read this advanced copy. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This was a new series’s to me so I grabbed all of the books. I’ve only read the first couple but I’m loving it and will be continuing with the series and looking forward to the next ones.

In this installment of the marvelous Finlay Donovan series, Elle Cosimano takes the incomparable, creative Finlay Donovan on a road trip full of twisty, well-wrought adventures. Throughout FINLAY DONOVAN ROLLS THE DICE, I gaped, laughed out loud, and deeply enjoyed the incomparable Finlay doing her best and mucking through the inevitable complications of her fast-paced, unbalanced life with Vero at her side along with family, love interests, and everyone she encounters. I read this in public and disturbed the peaceful library by bursting out laughing and gasping at Finlay's ever-inventive ways of coping with devious criminals and thriving in spite of herself. I received a copy of this book and these opinions are my own, unbiased thoughts.

Finlay and Vero need a girls' weekend in Atlantic City to rescue Vero's childhood crush Javi from his kidnappers. Things don't go as planned when her ex-husband, her mother, her kids and cop friends all tag along.
What a wild ride this was especially towards the end. There was no shortage of dead bodies to move around, bullets flying all around, crime lords threatening lives and so on. It was even harder with the police sniffing around.
I enjoyed this instalment! Thank you to Netgalley and Publisher for a gifted copy in exchange for an honest review.

These books are just so entertaining. I came late to them so am reading them back to back. This one seems to end a lot of the ongoing story so I am very curious which direction things go next. Finlay and Vero have no shortage of adventures as they try to pay off a loan shark in Atlantic City, rescue Vero’s longtime crush, find a stolen car and stay out of the sights of the Russian Mob. As always there are bodies to hide and criminals to unmask. It’s all so outlandish it’s fun. The narrator is fabulous.
Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for making these available.

Finlay Donovan is always my favorite character ! New book, new chaos. She is simply the best! I am just clapping and clapping my hands for Elle to keep writing her shenanigans. Perfect for anyone who loves a light-hearted but hilarious main character.

This series is going further and further off the rails. Parts of this book were so completely unbelievable. And yet, it’s so much fun! I hope we’re finished with the mob for a little while - they’re exhausting.
