This was such a cute book! I loved that it wasn't about winning and being a winner, but being a good "person" and being okay with you being your best.

I read Buster’s Trip to Victory Lane by Dale Earnhardt Jr. (NASCAR legend).
This is a fun Children's book about facing your selflessness, fears and never giving up. It reminded me of Cars movie, a bit, at the end.
Cool story for lil ones who love cars.
The bright illustrations are wonderful too.

This book is a cute way to address nerves and emotions in stressful situations. Mindset is huge and becoming more of a prominent topic among parents and this book would be a great teaching tool for parents to read to their children.

Buster books are some of my 3 year old car loving sons favorites!
He loves the bright colors and has each cars name memorized.
In the story, Buster is a nervous car, but by finding his team he is able to calm his nerves.
Cute book. Lots of cars with silly names and lessons about team work. Buster books are a 5 out of 5 in our home!

Sometimes celebrity picture books are extremely meh. This one was fun and I know it will go out at our library because RACE CARS! It was a cute story about overcoming your fears and helping others. About working to help someone else overcome a problem while also working on your own. The illustrations were fun and the cast of characters was cute.

This was a cute storybook for kids older than toddlers. My toddler did not pay attention, but he did love the art work in the book. I love the lesson the book encourages, but I do not find myself wanting to return to this title for reading time.

A book about cars, racing and all things zooming! Whats not to like, especially when it's being read to a 5 year old boy. The story is quite nice and exciting with really nice illustrations. The story might be a bit complex for kids under 5, but it makes for a good story about helping and caring to preschoolers.

Pros: Cute book with great art work. WONDERFUL message about kids with anxiety. Lots of opportunity to make fun sounds with your kiddos. Written by a really cool race car driver

Cons: way too long and wordy for a board book; didn’t flow as well as I’d like when reading to small kids.

There was a lot of names but it was cute and my four year old liked seeing the cars. We definitely will read it again and maybe watch a race!

My car loving son loved this book and immediately asked to re-read it over and over, if you liked John Cena’s Elbow Grease series, you will enjoy this. The book gives a sweet, kind lesson to children while keeping their interest through race cars. This is the type of book my children would purchase on their own at a school book fair.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.

Cute story about how to overcome worries. Buster learns to take his mind off his own worries by helping someone with theirs.

Buster is a nervous race car who sometimes makes mistakes. This story follows Buster in one of his races where he learns a way to address his anxiety. The bright style of the illustrations matches the book well.

Thank you NetGalley and Tommy Nelson for this copy. All opinions are my own.

This will be appreciated my many little race fans. But it's inferior to Elbow Grease and other similar books. The story is clunky and the pictures aren't great. But the message - help yourself by helping others - is a good one.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

A cute book with fun illustrations. I wish there had been some sort of redemption for Scuff, the mean character. There were also a couple of places where I felt the writing could have been improved or clarified (for instance, when Click said to "ignore him," I thought she was telling Scuff to ignore Buster, but it was vice versa in reality). My racecar-loving 3-year-old loved it, though, and requested a reread immediately, and I think kids' overall enjoyment is the most important thing.

This is a super cute follow-up to the first book! I appreciated how this one also took on a social-emotional learning topic and made it relatable to kids and engaging to read. I think this would be a great addition for any elementary classroom especially to pull out at times when students are struggling with the topic and would also be a great gift for car fans and addition to any elementary school library.

I honestly didn’t even know Dale Jr. had a book! I saw this on here, and had to read this to my nephew! This is so cute, while he is super young, my niece actually enjoyed it more. It shows not to give up, and teamwork. Kudos to you Dale Jr. your daddy would be proud!

This book is so cute! My 2.5 year old who is obsessed with cars really enjoyed it! I loved the morals in the story and also how there were more than just a few words on each page as we are trying to branch out from “baby” books for my little guy! He really loved cheering Buster on!

This was a sweet story to read with my four year old son. This book has a great message for young children. The illustrations are fun and engaging. I especially enjoyed the confetti in the last illustration. This would be a great book to read to a classroom of young children!
