I loved this story! The only issue was a few spelling errors! I loved Birdie and Bastien both working through their own issues to come together as one.

This was an excellent read. The story keeps you on the edge of your seat. There's always action going on and suspense. Birdie is a character and Bastien is fighting his attraction, but Birdie sure does know how to pull his chain. You won't be disappointed w this book. HEA.

I was drawn in quickly with the haunting backstory for Birdie. I could understand the survivors' guilt and the guilt of not saying something when "you have a bad feeling" in a situation. She is literally haunted by this experience, and it fuels her side project. Bastian has a traumatizing background as well for other reasons, and this shapes his internal voice about himself and how close he lets others get. After a chamce encounter with Birdie helping him, the timeline skips ahead a few months, and now he is in a position to help her. Because they work for the same corporation, they are familiar with one another enough for the attraction to be realistic.

I tend to struggle with bodyguard stories because of the "insta-lust" factor and amount of time the characters have known each other. That isn't the case with this story, which is great.

I loved how opposite these two characters are and how they complement one another so well. She is usually shy but has no problem standing up to him. He is gruff and grumpy but is very protective over her.

Bastian is very "Touch her and die" and I.AM.HERE.FOR.IT!

I loved the dynamic and plot. This is a second in series, and I have not read the previous book. However, this can be read as a standalone.

This is the second in this wonderful series about the Knot group and like all of Jo's work it is fast paced and totally draws you in until you turn that last page. This story is Birdie and Bastian's story Both of these have huge walls up around themselves Birdie doesn't believe she is a good friend because she allowed her friend to put herself in a situation that led to her death at the hands of a predator This is why though everyone just thinks she is the nerdy hacker that keeps the Knot teams safe but on an evening she is working to bring down podophiles meanwhile Bastian doesn't think that he is worth anything after been discharged from the Seals and after growing up in an abusive household he thinks he is only good for one night stands But when danger stalks Birdie due to her extra curricular activity Bastian won't hesitate to do whatever he needs to keep her safe and in the process he may find the love that he has always been looking for without eve realising it.

Really intense from beginning to end, it's almost like the storyline was ripped from the headlines it felt that real. Really liked Birdie and Bastien they were likeable characters people make mistakes but learn from their lessons really looking forward to seeing where this series goes, I also loved how the author brought in characters from her pervious series to the mix.

This will suck you in on the first page. I absolutely could not put it down until I had finished it. Nerdy Birdie loves her day job and then helps keep kids safe at night. Bash was kicked out of the Seals and is now working at Knots company with Birdie. He never thought he would develop feelings for someone, since he never had before. Yet here he, is caring a lot about a woman he knows he will never be able to have, due to his past. Birdie is trying to figure out how to get Bash to breakdown his walls and let her in. Then things start to happen to Birdie and Bash is determined to keep her safe but will he be able to protect his own heart? I was given an ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is book two in The Knot PMC’s series and it is Birdie and Bash’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. When Birdie’s best friend Amelia was killed by a predator when they were fourteen the guilt has consumed Birdie all her life because she feels like she should have stopped her friend from going so now years later and she helps to put predators in jail taking them out of society but only a selective few no about what she does and in the day she is a analyst specialist and works for Knot Corp where she can help with the teams going on assignments and keep them safe. Bash didn’t have a easy life as his father was so abusive and a nasty man so when Bash was eighteen he went into the marines and became a navy seal but after a altercation he was discharged and now works for Dillon Knot which helps him stay focused as part of an elite team of operatives and because of his past he doesn’t do relationships only one night stands. The attraction and chemistry between Birdie and Bash is so strong, hot and intense but because of Bash’s past he is determined not to turn out like his father and try to keep his rage under control so he tries to keep Birdie at arms length but being the strong and smart person that she is she is determined to show Bash that he is not like his father. When Bash realised that Birdie is in danger all bets are off and he will protect her and keep her safe regardless of what he has to do or the situation because he now realised that he wants a future with her so they will have to work together so that they can eliminate the threat and bring them to justice. Wow this book certainly takes you on a rollercoaster journey and was action packed along with twists and turns that will have you on the edge of your seat while holding your breath wondering what will happen next and also what the outcome will be for Birdie and Bash in the end. I couldn’t put this book down as it was a real page turner and so addictive and I can’t wait to read the next book in this amazing series.

Oh what a read, so good you will want to read it over and over. Once again we return to the Knott agency. When Birdie is confronted by a pedophile doing her side job, it’s up to Bastien to rescue her from the things that go bump in the night. If you like steamy romance, suspense and action in your books, u will want to read this author!

New to this series and to the Knot Security company crew, I really need to find more to read In This series. Great characters and storyline. Lots of suspense and action along with romance.

Bash is a silent protector and when Birdie reaches out to help him he falls for her instantly and his protective mode kicks in. Birdie has quite the secret she is trying to keep from him but he finally gets through to her and tries to help her in her fight against crime. Then Birdie goes missing and Bash will do everything in his power to save the one he loves. Great read!

Bastien is the reason why book boyfriends is a thing. Super hot, a little broken, and a beast in the sack. And the fact that he falls for the nerdy little, slightly pudgy girl is just the cherry on top of the sundae that is melting way to fast due to the heat that flares between this pair. Another great addition to the series.

Buckle up for a harrowing, gut wrenching suspenseful ride with two fantastic individuals dealing with trauma from their past that has wrapped them up in guilt, layers and layers of guilt. Birdie,our internet, hacker and Bastien our ex seal both work for Knot. There is so much hurt, anger, and self doubt they have as individuals. JO tackles pedophiles and spousal abuse written in away that makes your soul weep. Handled as gently as possible so you can take a step back. Seeing some ole familiar faces was extra special and makes me want to read them all again. I have read every book and highly recommend them all. Her Ranger Mine Series, Her Waterproof Series and this new one Knot PMC's. There will be steam, explicit which is not my forte, but when the plots turn me inside out and then wrings me in two, I page through the steam. Emotional moving and thought provoking. I have to say that this book was a bit better than the first one and really shines a light on the dark web predators who lure our children thinking they are younger than their online persona. This is Birdie's and Bastien's story finding their way out of the darkness that haunts both of them.

When Birdie is taken by someone from her past Bast and the rest of Knot Security and a local detective will race to find her before it's too late. Lots of action, adventure and all around great book.

Oh my goodness I loved this book.

My most favourite element of this book was that both MC’s were actually “living” with such misplaced guilt. By the end of the book they had changed so much and given each other the ability to live with such freedom.

Birdie was such a deep character, brave and loyal she fought so hard and had real courage, both physically and mentally.
She really grasped the nettle with Bash and made him think about what he really wanted and consider that he might not really be the man he long feared he might become.

Danger, intrigue and a storyline that unfolds in a most satisfying way, this book delivers everything you need (including glimpses of familiar characters for longtime fans of the author ♥️)

I really liked this book, filled with suspense and full of intrigue and emotions, great world building, the characters are amazing, captivating, even made me shed a tear or two, the plot is very captivating, you will not drop the book till you finish. Knot Innocent is a must read!.
