This was such a treat! EVERY WISH WAY is a magical retelling of Aladdin and Pride and Prejudice, centering around Iza who is missing love in her life, and is granted three wishes by a magical genie named Beckett. I loved him and thought there were so many cute moments throughout the story. The audiobook was so fun!

*many thanks to Dreamscape and Netgalley for the gifted copy

I wanted to like this book, but unfortunately, it wasn't for me. Despite my best efforts, I just couldn't get into it. It was disappointing not to enjoy it as much as others seem to, but I understand that everyone has different tastes and preferences when it comes to literature.

This book follows Iza whose love life has been anything but smooth sailing. While having a particularly rough day she finds herself with a few wishes. With the opportunity to find her perfect match she brings the perfect man from fiction, Darcy. With him brought into the world what could go wrong? Enemies to lovers meets romantic comedy meets a magical world.

Even though this story seems over the top I found it funny and sweet and I was unable to put it down. The couple is one you want to root for and the characters are all likable. Despite the magical moments I found this world realistic and enjoyable.

I would recommend this to any lover of books like 'The Seven Year Slip' or someone who wants a romance in a magical setting. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this story.

This was a fun romance novel; you know how it is going to end when you pick it up but you still get to enjoy the ride along the way. Iza was getting a little whiny in the middle of the story as she was trying to figure out why nothing was going as planned. I was so glad when Iza finally realized what was missing from her life, and no, I am not talking about Beckett.
Loved the little breadcrumbs in the last third of the book when Iza makes her third wish.

Kim Churchill did a good job narrating the story and bringing the characters to life. I look forward to listening to more books narrated by Kim in the future.

I have mixed feelings on this book. I loved the premise of it, and I thought the way Beckett was characterized was hilarious, but there was a little too much cringe for me. Iza wishes for her own personal Mr. Darcy and tries to use the plot of Pride and Prejudice as a guide book on how to get him to fall in love with her, but she kind of goes about it like a nutcase. I get that the whole lesson in that is how you can't expect to happily fall in love if you're pretending to be someone else, but dang if the second-hand cringe wasn't strong when you read it.
Otherwise, it was an amusing and unique story with really good narration.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

This book was so much fun! I loved the genie in the bottle theme because it really made the book fun. The inclusion of Pride and Prejudice as a vehicle to move the story was wonderful as it really went to show that what we see in romance books cannot translate to real life and we need to accept that what books show us is not reality. This was a great romance and I could not wait for Beckett and Iza to finally get together.

Clever and creative, Shannon Bright combines paranormal, romance, family drama, and a bit of both Pride & Prejudice and Aladdin, in Every Wish Way.

I was pretty surprised to discover Every Wish Way is Bright’s debut novel! It’s well written, and flows beautifully.

A really nice performance on the audio version by Kim Churchill.

I picked this title because I love the idea of of a genie romance. I've never read a book where the genie was the hero before. I did really enjoy watching Iza make wishes and find out the consequences. I also really enjoyed the humor that Iza and Beckett shared. It was also interesting to see Shannon Bright's interpretation of 20th century Mr. Darcy. However, where I struggled with this book was that I didn't like Iza for a lot of the story. She was very determined to please her mother and very afraid to trust. It caused her to treat Beckett badly as well as other characters. Also Iza's relationship with Darcy following the story line of the original book didn't work so well for me. I would have rather seen the connection Iza and Darcy could form. I also don't think lots of fans of Austen will love this version of Darcy. I didn't feel like he had to be the stories hero but I also felt like his character was a bit more negative here than in the original. Finally, I would have liked more time with Iza and Beckett enjoying themselves. I found myself pushing through to get to the ending not enjoying the story. I loved the concept of this one but I ultimately felt the execution could be better.

I listened to the audiobook version of Every Wish Way and thought Kim Churchill did a great job with the narration! While this was single narrator, the characters had distinct voices.

Every Wish Way by Shannon Bright is a lighthearted read with a good narrator. Overall it was a 4 star read for me.

Iza was raised to never rely on men, however she longs to find her true love. One day she comes across a box of old things and one of those items contains Beckett who will grant her three wishes. She does not believe him at first and tries to ignore it. One night she gets drunk and makes her first wish to find a love like Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice. This takes her to an alternate reality where she fights to make the person she wished for love her. Along the way she finds herself, and falls in love with Beckett. Can Iza save herself and free Beckett?

Thank you, NetGalley, for the copy of the audiobook. All opinions are my own. #ShannonBright #EveryWishWay #NetGalley #DreamscapeMedia

3.5.
I listened to the audiobook of this one! I really enjoyed the story. We have our FMC who is struggling with life, her mom hates men and is a workaholic and she feels like she can never live up to her standards. She has a great career like her mother wants of her but she feels like something is missing that’s when our MMC a shows up and grants her 3 wishes. The plot line of this story was definitely unique and I really liked that! We have genie type MMC, a pride and prejudice theme, magic realism, and some great lessons and growth for our characters along the way!

To give grace I am not overly familiar with pride and prejudice going into this but I don’t feel that’s what effected my reading experience. It wasn’t bad necessarily but it doesn’t stand out in anyway; the book felt like it was unfinished in so many ways and not at all like the finished product it should be and could’ve been. Not only did the writing disappoint (in my opinion), it just felt WAY too long; I listened to it on 3x speed and it still felt about 4h too long and tbh it made me forget that NetGalley fixed their audio player so it goes to 3x speed because I couldn’t get myself to care

Thank you NetGalley for the audio arc

Every Wish Way is one of those classic rom-coms that you just love to sink into. We have Iza who is an architect who has spent her whole career working extra hard so she will be taken seriously as one of the few women in a world of men. She never knew her father and her mother doesn't believe men are worth bothering with. All Iza wants is to find a man that she can spend her life with, that her mother will like, and she can live her fairy tale life. Then one day we meet Beckett, a genie of sorts, who is there to grant Iza 3 wishes. During this time he also can not lie to her and he has to keep her safe. What does Iza wish for during a drunken night? For her dream man, that she and her mother bonded over, Fitzwilliam Darcy.

I thought this book was sweet and light-hearted. It was so easy to read or listen to. I found that several moments had me laughing out loud. My biggest thing was I was never a big Austen fan. Mr. Darcy was never the perfect man, in my opinion. I found the book to be more about learning to accept oneself and to trust those around you. To let go of the preconceived ideas that people have and to communicate with those around you. Beckett was clearly the winner of the story, and the more you learn about him the more you realize how great he is. Also, the lion scene was amazing!

The narration of the story was on point. Everyone had their own voice and Amy Churchill was able to breathe life into each of the characters. Was the story funny? Yes, there were some great sass moments. Were there epic friendships? Yes, Iza and her best friend were friend goals for sure. Great romance? There is some in here, it wouldn't be a rom-com without the rom. Did my heartstrings get pulled? No, but I was entertained and recommend this to anyone looking for a light and silly romance that will make you wish for your own bottle of sparkly nail polish.

Thank you to the publisher, author, and Netgalley for giving me such an amazing opportunity to review this audiobook.

I've previously given a review of the e-book version of this story. This review will focus on the performance of the narrator. I listened to the audiobook in conjunction with reading the eBook version. Kim Churchill did a fantastic job narrating the story. It gave the story more depth and understanding. I was able to interpret Iza better through the audiobook version.

I love the banter between Iza and Beckett and the paranormal and supernatural elements of the story. It was cute and emotional at times. Although I wish there was more interaction and romantic developments with Iza and Beckett, With the audiobook version, it did highlight previous things I would've read by simply reading the book. It helps set the tone of the story or character.

The original rating for the story I gave was 3/5. But for the audiobook version 3.5/5,

I'm not one to read spoilers, not even the book description. I had no idea what I was getting myself into starting this book. Once I realized, I was CERTAIN I was going to hate it. Its just not my normal go to and I usually dislike the magic or mystic immediately. HOWEVER, I was very pleasantly surprised by this book. I really, really enjoyed it. Beckett was so enjoyable it was hard not to love him. Iza was perfect. Her best friend is the best supporter. And I even loved her office squabbles. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for a quick, light hearted read. I just reviewed Every Wish Way by Shannon Bright. #EveryWishWay #NetGalley

Special thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a free, electronic ARC of this novel received in exchange for an honest review.
This book was an absolute delight! Iza has been trying to win her mother's approval by finding the perfect Mr. Right. She is given the opportunity when she opens an old bottle of fingernail polish and out pops a man who will grant her 3 wishes. She can think of nothing better than wishing for a modern day Mr. Darcy himself... but is he truly the man for her? Does he actually have what she is looking for? or is it Mr. Wickham really the bad guy she was always told he was?
Highly recommend this adorable and fun light romance for those who are a fan of Pride and Prejudice...and the hand clench.

Do you love Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice? If so, this MMC is for you! Add that with the element of a genie...think Aladin. This book was so whimsical and unique.

It was so different from other supernatural type books I have read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Wit, charm, and angst all included. A cozy rom com to add to your fall tbr! The audiobook is fantastic as well.

Thank you @netgalley @dreamscape_media
@shannonbwrites & @alcovepress for the ARC & ALC for me to review honestly.
