I have to say this book had my hopes very high upon reading the description. I wanted to love it but unfortunately it did not quite live up to my expectations. While it was a fun story to read and had some good banter between the main characters it was just very flat and disappointing with the direction it took.
It felt drawn out and long. I understand this is a work of fiction but I just found the main character and the wishes made a little out of the norm and definitely not how anyone would use them if they were her situation.
I found I was rolling my eyes and struggling to push through more than wanting to invest my time. I struggled the most with the main characters connections, whether it be the men in her life or her mother.
This book in my opinion did have potential, it’s just a little bit all over the place. In the end I can appreciate the work the author put into writing this novel with the intention of creating a heart warming, rom-com with magical themes.
I received this ARC via NetGalley and Dreamscape Media in exchange for an honest review.

A cute simple and fun story about making wishes. I loved that it had some unique storylines. It was a clean romantic comedy.

The narrator sounds like Siri, I found that quite distracting. I love the premise, but felt the pacing and storytelling weren't quite there yet.

2023 must be the year of FANTASTIC debuts! I was not expecting to fall in love with this story quite as much as I did!!
A fun mashup of Aladdin/Beauty and the Beast and Pride and Prejudice that sees Iza trying to find someone she can really love despite having terrible luck with men and instead getting stuck with Beckett, a cursed man from the past who is forced to grant other people's wishes.
Full of some fun paranormal elements, a twisty time loop element that honestly made my head hurt a little trying to figure it all out (just go with it, trust me), swoony secret pining, a playboy hero with a secret soft side, TONS of Jane Austen references and a really unique twist on a Pride and Prejudice retelling PLUS a complicated mother-daughter relationship.
Great on audio narrated by Kim Churchill and PERFECT for fans of The seven year slip by Ashley Poston. This is definitely going to be a standout for me this year PLUS how could I resist this gorgeous purple cover?? Answer: I couldn't! So glad the story inside was a big win too!
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest review. I cannot wait to see what Shannon Bright comes up with next!

Every Wish Way was such a fun read! I enjoyed it so much I listened to it in one sitting. I received this as an audiobook ARC from NetGalley and the moment I received the galley approval, I started listening and did not stop. You have yourself some genie action, sprinkled with a little Pride and Prejudice. As we get into fall, I enjoy books with some magic, and this was just so magical. Imagine being able to wish for the "perfect" guy and then BOOM, here he is. Except... he's not exactly what you imagined when you wished for perfection. It was like that comfy cozy romcom you put on to make yourself feel good, it's that but in a book. It was whimsical and just made you feel good. It was just what I needed to listen to today. If you want a little magic in your life, give this one a listen, it's out 9/13/23.
Thank you so much NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the ARC and the chance to listen and review it honestly.
Happy reading!
