Another 5 star read from Freida McFadden! I read this in one sitting, I couldn’t put it down. It involves the relationship between Addie and 2 teachers at her school. It is told from multiple POV, which always adds to the suspense. Thank you to Poisoned Pen Press and NetGalley for the ARC.

Frieda doesn’t disappoint!
A book about how young women can be easily influenced by an attractive teacher. And how they are able to use their power to control the situations.
I enjoyed the twist that Frieda always has up her sleeves for her readers. But honestly the last one at the end I definitely did not see coming.
Thank you NetGalley for the advance copy

This was my first ARC! I’m a teacher and I usually stay away from media with student teacher relationships because they gross me out. I decided to give this one a chance because it’s Frieda. I ended up loving it. I think this is one of my new favorites. Everyone who has read a Frieda book knows there are twists. The very last twist got me. I don’t think I would’ve ever guessed it. Someone actually just asked me which books I’d recommend and now I know which is at the top!

I was so excited to receive an advanced copy of one of my favorite author’s books… but this was such a let down. The writing felt very quick and cheap, and the way that it centers around grooming was handled poorly. Sure, it had the plot twists per usual, but even those didn’t sit right, all the way through the epilogue. I’ll keep reading her future work, but I’m disappointed in this one.

I luckily got an ARC of this! Thank you Poisoned Pen Press and Freida McFadden vi NetGalley!
Freida NEVER disappoints!!! The beginning was a little slow at first but WOW it really picked up and I could not put this book down!!! And the ending in typical Freida fashion ended in SUCH a twist!! I did NOT guess that !!! 5/5 !!! It’s a must read!

Rarely does an author hit it out of the park every time. But Freida McFadden does! This may be my favorite of hers. The number of times my jaw just absolutely DROPPED! So many unexpected twists in this story of two married teachers, each who seem to be hiding something. I devoured this in a day. Thanks to NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for this fabulous ARC!

She did it again!!!!! Freida never lets me down! This book is a page turner for sure! I think out of all her books this is by far my favorite ❤️. 10/10. I absolutely love love love it!!!

Wow!
The ending was a show stopper for sure! This book had so many twists & turns, but was not at all confusing. Clearly written & flowed extremely well.

I was so excited to be selected to read The Teacher prior to the release date!
Shout out to NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for the ARC!
The Teacher is a fast paced thriller with multiple viewpoints- short chapters- but a lot of going on. All of these are things I love! (Busy mom- kids always needing something- you get it, right?)
Addie, a teen with a bit of a checkered history (I would have liked a Little more context behind that part of her character development) has no friends and is longing for some kind of acceptance. Her teenage naivety makes her relatable and sympathetic.
Nate and Eve- teachers at Addie's school are in a loveless marriage and both are detestable creatures of McFadden's imagining. I am pretty sure the only redeeming quality I found in either character was Eve's love of really good shoes- I can relate.
A bullied teen, a dissatisfied husband and a philandering wife make for a toxic combination.
As always Frieda has created a book that has all of the elements of a fantastic read. I always enjoy the easy readability, the twists and turns the characters take towards the book's grand finale, and the relatability of the characters (except, perhaps, for their more murderous tendencies that is!)
The ending of The Teacher leaves you filling satisfied that the person who needed to got what they deserved.
Although not my absolute favorite (I will stan The Housemaid always)- the teacher is a delightful addition to the Fried McFadden collection.

Eve, Nate and Addie.. a triangle of lies and deceit. Like most Freida books I didn’t see that coming. I love how fast paced this was, revealing a new twist every chapter with the final one never even on the radar. Another amazing five star read you won’t be able to put down.

The Teacher by Frieda McFadden was overall a 3 star book for me. I really enjoyed the fast pacing, short chapters, and progression of the story. I found myself not being able to put down the book, especially in the first half. The reason it only got three stars from me was because I feel like the ending was rushed and a little confusing on the timeline. Also, I didn’t enjoy the twist as a whole.
Thank you for sending me this arc!

This book made me MAD!!! Like heavy in your chest, hot headed, mind spinning, MAD 😡 I hate "The Teacher". I can't even describe the anger and pain for everything. Holy cow. Read this book

***Eve and her husband Nate have a good life, Both are teachers at a high school.
Last year, Caseham High was rocked by a scandal involving a student-teacher affair, with one student, Addie, at its center. But Eve knows there is far more to these ugly rumors than meets the eye.
Addie can’t be trusted. She lies. She hurts people. She destroys lives. At least, that’s what everyone says.
But nobody knows the real Addie. Nobody knows the secrets that could destroy her. And Addie will do anything to keep it quiet… ***
***Thank you, NetGalley for the arc for an honest review!***
As always I look forward to a Freida book! Firstly I want to say I found the subject of this book hard to read in places and give it a trigger warning of adult/minor relationships which is a big part of the story line and anyone who has children may find some of it tough to read! with saying that I devoured this book in 2 days
were the characters likable? No but then when are they?
In Usual Freida fashion the last twist had me pause mid-reading to process everything! woah how does she come up with these?
There were a couple of plot holes but that could have just been in the Arc version! I won't mention them as it will spoil the end!

Beyond amazing!! I finished reading this book within 24 hours - with a full time job and everything. Out of all of Freida’s books I’ve read, this one is definitely near the tip. You will be engaged from page one and you’ll never guess the twists. Highly recommend to readers who enjoy a good thriller! Clearly 5 stars!

This was my ninth Freida McFadden book.. Freida is the author that got me back into reading last year.
I loved this book. I was convinced I knew what was going to happen in this book but of course I was wrong.
I don’t know how Freida manages to outdo herself every book.
The ending of this book had me in shock and the epilogue…wow!
Highly recommend!

Freida is so good at twists, her characters never even see them coming. I’m starting to wonder if she sees them coming! Her last book I read was the coworker, and I’ll admit it wasn’t my favorite. The Teacher was so much better! She has a way of keeping you reading bc you HAVE to know what happens. It’s a perfect popcorn thriller. It’s like watching a movie in your head and hard to put down! Are there plot holes? Yes. Are there really unbelievable things happening? Yes. Does any of that take away from the fun, absolutely not!

Fantastic! The story builds slowly but doesn't fail to deliver suspense and twists. The integration of Edgar Allen Poe's poems works really well. The very final twist was clever but I might have left that for another story - I'm still not sure what I think about it. I did laugh but I have so many questions. I think the ending might have been better without it.
Be sure to read the blurb about the content of this book before reading. There is one scene in particular that is pretty disturbing (and not in the typical psychopathic-murder sort of way.)
There were a couple of holes in the narrative that I think I caught. I'm hopeful they will be corrected in the final copy or in a future edition.
If you like Freida McFadden's books, this one will not disappoint.

Thank you NetGalley, Poisoned Pen Press, and Freida McFadden for approving my request to read The Teacher in exchange for an honest review.
As a teacher, I was so excited when I first saw this title being released and knew I had to read it. I've always been a major fan of Freida McFadden, her books always have a great plot and the unexpected and unpredictable twists at the end always shock me. Well... The Teacher does EXACTLY that. Queen Freida has delivered once again!
The Teacher mainly follows Eve Bennett, a math teacher at Caseham High, and her student Addie, who was involved in a school scandal last year and is considered to be troubled. Eve's husband, Nate, is also a teacher at the school and when she expresses her concerns about Addie, Nate is quick to defend Addie and her behavior because not only is she isolated from her peers, it's clear that she is being bullied too. As the plot thickens, the lives between these characters become intertwined and in the worst way possible. You gotta read this to find out what happens because you won't believe it!

A twisty fast paced novel that keeps you guessing.
Eve and Nate seem to have a perfect marriage and good careers at the same high school. However, not everything is as it seems. Last year a scandal occurred at the school and one of the main students involved is in Eve's class this year. Eve struggles with how to handle this student while also being concerned about the state of her marriage.
Good characters, fast pacing and an ending you may not see coming.

Wow. She caught my attention from the beginning and held it til the end yet again. Word to the wise. Don’t start this book late at night because you’ll have a hard time putting it down. Student/teacher relationships and how they can be perceived, suspense, mind games…it’s all there! Just when you think you figured it out, think again!
