Kimberly Lemming has once again knocked it out of the park. I absolutely love her humor and writing style, with the modern slang in the fantasy setting. Makes her books unique, memorable, and just downright hilarious. The amount of times I laughed out loud should be embarrassing, but it was just me enjoying the book!

Unfortunately, I had to DNF the first book in the series around 36% and have chosen not to read any further. I was really looking forward to the series which is about a young woman who has many unfortunate mishaps when she drinks too much blackberry mead. This sets her up to come face-to-face with many different magical creatures, and go on many journeys. This is a romance series with spice, but it just really wasn’t working for me. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve read all kinds of romance books with all levels of spice and I am a big fan of this genre. The spicy talk from the demon in the first book caused me too uncontrollably cringe. I will not be finishing the series which is disappointing because I know a lot of people really like these books. I would be willing to try the author again in the future though.

I enjoyed this one a little more than the previous book in the series but not by much. One this book is very insta love. I doubt these characters knew each other for a month. There's also the word yeeted in the title. Not a fan of that at all. The main love interest takes away a lot of choices for our main character. He goes to the court house and gets them legally married and she's supposed to just be okay with it. Him inprinting on her and it not being just the love potion was kinda disappointing. At least if that happened something interesting would have happened. Also where in a werewolf romance would you get tentacle play? Since when do werewolves have tentacles. Our main love interest seems like he's more of a child than a grown man. Overall I wasn't a fan but it was better than the first book.

After liking the first book, I didn’t have another choice but to read the second one! Where I found the first one to be comical but lacking in storytelling, this one accounted for! It was easier to follow the plot of the story AND it was comical too! May I say, I loved Alexis and need to read more about this hilarious and feminist sword. Actually, the bit where all the women just laugh at the men was my favorite, I need more please. I’ll definitely be reading the third one!

I loved this so much more than the first one! Brie and Felix are so fun and cute together and have the better albeit weirder (tentacles???) romance. I'm just very conflicted about the fact that I've gone my whole life without knowing about "knotting" and now I've read two books in a row with it 💀

The first book in this series was absolutely amazing, so I had very high expectations for the next book. This book far surpassed my expectations and I absolutely loved every single moment of it.
Brie is a cheesemaker with no luck in the love department until one day she accidentally throws a love potion on a werewolf. Together they have to figure out if he truly loves her or if it is the accidental love potion because he is very convinced that she is his fated mate. Oh, and on top of everything else, there is a ship full of demons hanging out in the harbor, no big deal.
This book should be cheesy (pun intended) and ridiculous, but somehow it isn’t. The whole thing is just a spicy, wild adventure of a good time. I finished it in half a day because as soon as I picked it up, I could not put it down. This entire series is absolutely amazing and I will never stop recommending it.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the advance reader's copy of the book. Another fast and fun story in the series. The world building continues and expands. The characters are fun and unique. I'm loving that the characters introduced in the first book are still around in the second one. This is just a good cozy read like the first. This series really fits the genre of cozy fantasy. I'm looking forward to the next book, and will suggest this series to all of my reader friends.

Kimberly Lemmings's books are just TOO FUN! I jumped into this right after I read That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon, and I think the sequel is honestly even better. I adored this. This second installment felt a little less epic quest and a little more slice of life than the first, and the spice was... wow! So good!
In the first book, I couldn't tell if I liked the silly naming conventions, but the introduction of Brie sealed the deal for me. I dig it! I feel like this world is so easy to jump into and figure out, which makes them the perfect fun read between heavier books.
Full honesty, I'm a slice of life cozy fantasy reader, so the plot development at the end wasn't my favorite, but I do think it was really good- just not my favorite. Can't wait to continue the series! Thanks to #NetGalley and #OrbitBooks for the advanced reader copy!

I think this book is my favorite of the series so far! I knew it would be full of humor and drama when it starts with Brie throwing a drink at a man who won’t leave her alone. Unfortunately, she misses and the drink, spiked with a love potion, hits a werewolf who now thinks he is her mate. It was funny and so spicy! These books aren’t complicated and the plot doesn’t always make a ton of sense, but they are so fun to read! <spoiler> I was dying with laughter when Brie uses her knowledge of smutty books and then the omegaverse to protect herself from mind control by the evil magic. </spoiler>
Thank you to NetGalley and Orbit Books for this ARC in exchange for my honest review! I can’t wait to pick up the next book in this series!

4 stars - It was really good
When Brie throws a drink at an annoying and pushy man’s head, he unfortunately ducks and she hits the stranger behind him, which is how she finds herself tied to a werewolf. The drink she threw turns out to have been a love potion and well now Felix is madly in love with her and is declaring her his fated mate, but it is real or just all the potion.
Much like the first book, I was hooked to Brie and Felix’s story from the very beginning and couldn’t put it down. Brie is an independent woman who has learned to keep everyone at a distance. She doesn’t trust easily so having Felix around and frequently professing his love is a struggle for her, especially when she starts falling for him back. I really loved how strong Brie was and seeing her slowly let go of her fear of abandonment to let Felix in. Also I loved how she defeated the god with graphic sex scenes in the end because that was hilarious.
Felix was a character that I instantly loved when he was introduced in the first book so I loved that he was finding happiness so soon. Felix was extremely protective of Brie but we never saw him become overbearing or try to stop her from being herself, which was perfect. I especially loved that he never shamed her for her reading preferences and used them to fulfill Brie’s fantasies, which is how it should be. Felix was just a wonderful partner for Brie and I really loved him.
Brie and Felix’s relationship was very steamy and hot. I was not expecting tentacle play with a werewolf romance but it was hot and perfect for this couple. While their relationship may have started due to a love potion these two were very open in how they felt and what they wanted. I also loved the banter between these two, much like I did Cinnamon and Fallon’s. Also I find it hilarious that we have a cheesemaker who is now married to a lactose intolerant werewolf.
Overall, I am loving this series so much. It is just a fun fantasy series that doesn’t take itself too seriously which is just what I needed to end my year with. I highly recommend this series if you just are looking for something fun, steamy, and adventurous.
TW: sexual harassment; drugging and attempted drugging; brief mention of abandonment by parent; mention of slavery; kidnaping; misogyny; cult; death and violence;

I would recommend you're looking for (SPOILERS)
-m/f fantasy romance
-fated mates
-monster romance
-a love potion
-forced proximity
-denial
This series is just so much fun. Fantasy, a bit bonkers, and steamy. I loved the interplay of the fated mates, the love potion, and just how these two gently fell in love with each other with all that simmering attraction. Some added adventure, this was just a fun immerive read.

This was just as delightful as the first book, and dare I say I enjoyed it slightly more? The MMC was the personification of a cinnamon roll, as long as it wasn’t made with any dairy. I don’t normally like insta-love but it works here with the plot. It was cute and sweet (and definitely a bit silly), but it was the perfect palate cleanser after reading a dense epic fantasy.

Oh my god, this book was so incredibly fun. I laughed out loud so much while reading this book. It legit was so incredibly funny. I also really loved the romance in this book. It was just absolutely adorable, but they also had some deeper moments (and also some steamy moments). I also really liked the fantasy storyline. It was smaller scale than the first one, and it just worked really well with this shorter page count.

I LOVED Brie and Felix! The story flowed better and I enjoyed the higher stakes in this one. Felix was indeed a golden retriever boyfriend and I loved how even though Brie struggled with their relationship, there was no third act breakup and they communicated through their issues. Felix is top tier boyfriend material. I am LOVING this series.

This was a quick, cute read. I hadn't read the first book but I didn't feel confused at all since this book has different main characters. I love fated mates tropes and this male mc is basically a big golden retriever ball of sunshine which is always such a refreshing trope.

This is the perfect palette cleanser. If you go into it prepared to kick your feet and giggle, you will really enjoy the journey. This book is fun, fast-paced, spicy, and addicting. Kimberly Lemming does a great job of blending in fantasy elements with ridiculous twists and turns in a way that feels natural and cozy. If you want serious fantasy or major character growth, you won't find it here... but what you will find is a good time.

TL;DR: No quest, far less world, and more sex. Not as fun for me as the first one but mileage may vary.
That Time I Got Drunk and Yeeted a Love Potion at a Werewolf is the follow-up to That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Dragon (these titles are a mouthful), and while I enjoyed it I think perhaps this has a bit of second book slump.
Werewolf follows Brie, Cinnamon’s friend from the first book, after she accidentally throws what would have basically been a spiked drunk from a overly persistent suitor onto Felix. We also met Felix in the previous book, Cinnamon saved him from slavery on her quest. Turning after being dunked with a drink Felix imprints on Brie, while she assumes he’s simply under the effects of the love potion. The two end up spending time together, forced into it really by the imprint and the added affects of the love potion that exaggerates the matting call within Felix. There is a plot revolving around missing women, but the focus of the book is primarily on this romance and their forced proximity.
My favorite bit of the first book was the focus on the quest and world that I felt we got. It was hilarious, the style is very modern, and there wasn’t a ton of front loading us with romance and sex. This volume hits most of those buttons, but we have much less of the world as the story is limited to the town of Boohail and the sex comes fast and early (tentacles are conveniently included for those that enjoy those).
For that reason I can’t give this volume as high a rating as the first, but it’s still fun to see the different characters and little glimpses of different cultures and types of personalities. I hope we et out of Boohail for book three, and I definitely loved see Alexis (a talkin sword featured in a short novella) make an appearance.
3 out of 5 Evil Grilled Cheeses (I’m as allergic as Felix, so I felt his pain)

I 1000% was drawn to this book because of the title. I didn’t quite know what to expect with the story and it wasn’t quite what I thought it would be. I think for fans of romance and fantasy, who, like lighthearted stories, this would be a good book option. It is 5/5 spicy, so that’s something to be aware of. It gets quite vulgar. But overall a fun adventure and a decent read.

Thank you to NetGalley, Orbit Books, and Kimberly Lemming for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
I thoroughly enjoy Kimberly Lemming's writing. It is witty and fun to read. She has the cozy romantasy genre locked in. This book picks up after the first in the series ends. The first one should be read before diving into this one. I loved seeing the side characters from the first have such big roles in this one.
Brie and Felix's story was so cute. Brie is so sassy and Felix has such golden retriever energy, but, like, as an actual werewolf. I loved whenever his tail would wag when he was happy!
While the first book had more action and adventure than this one, this book continues the easy, fun reading theme present in the series. It has action, adventure, romance, humor, and spice. What else could you need?

I don’t normally read spicy romance, but I couldn’t resist this title and book cover. I’m a D&D nerd, and I was curious what this book might entail.
This rom-com fantasy was so fun! Lemming’s writing is hilarious, quick and dirty. I stepped a bit out of my comfort zone with this one, but I definitely enjoyed it.
