I was given an ARC by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was a short spicy monster romance! I liked our two main characters but I don’t think I’ll continue the series. Not my cup of tea.

This series is so good! This is the perfect fluffy smutty romance for the fantasy lover. The world building is fun and light without being annoying or silly at all, and the characters are so loveable and fun! Of course the romance is why we're all here and it does not disappoint at all. I loved the contrast of Falon being dark and broody in the first book and then having Felix be a literal cinnamon roll in this one. The adventure plot and the romance flow together so well and I hope to read many more of these in the future! Kimberly Lemming is now an auto buy author for me

Rounded up from 3.5 stars, this series continues to be fun to read and follow. I enjpy Lemming's humor and characters.

A huge thank you to the author, NetGalley, and Orbit Books for providing this e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

As the second book in this series, it’s just as cute with sexual chemistry as the first. In this one, we follow our lovable werewolf Felix as he finds his fated mate (or does he?), as unfortunately he finds his mate after being hit in the head with a love potion. Is it just the potion? Or is it a true mate? Drama, heartbreak, and sex ensue.

This gives the story some delicious angst to go along with all the nice sexual chemistry - as Brie falls in love, she’s never certain if Felix will feel the same way after he’s cured. I, personally, LOVE me some angst/hurt-comfort so I was living for this dynamic. (Especially since we, as the reader, absolutely KNOW it’s going to work out - but SHE doesn’t. Glorious.)

While personally, I didn’t quite like this story as much as the first, if you like this romantasy series/concept/worldbuilding - you’ll like this book. There’s nothing here that would make this NOT work for you, in my opinion. Some of the cringiness that was present in the first book feels a little stronger in this one, but nothing that’ll make it unbearable.

Overall, this book was a fun, light, romantic read with some deeper plot thrown in to add drama and danger, and if you liked the first book in this series you’ll like this one as well. We get into Felix’s head a bit more, we learn more about how the world is responding to the fact that demons live amongst humans now, and we see some of our previously loved characters back in this book. What else could we ask for?

There were a few scenes, and a few things that happened that made this more of a 4 star than a 5 star slam dunk for me, but like I said - if you liked the first, you’ll like this one.

ALSO. BRIE AND URSA AVOIDING THEIR LOVE INTERESTS. Once again, I’m humbly requesting a book with Ambrose in it.

(Spoilers: I’ll list the things that I personally found to take me out of the story, but TBH I’d only read this if you’ve read the book to see if you agree with me. None of these are anything that I think should be the, if any, reason for you to decide to not read this book in this series. I just need to complain. Don’t read further if you don’t either want A) spoilers, or B) me to nitpick a bit too much. I liked this book, don’t get me wrong. It was fun, it was sexy, it was flirty, and it accomplished everything I read it for. SO. None of these are, like, death knells or marks against it - just things that I, personally, did not like and that made it 4 stars instead of 5.

1. The random Cthulhu tentacle summoning took me a bit out of it. I get bondage, don’t get me wrong - but, like, personally if I’m going to deal with weird tentacle play I want it to make sense with the character doing it. Also, it kind of came out of nowhere? Listen, personally I’d prefer my love interest to be a bit more eldritch horror if we’re going to bring out the tentacle bondage play. Otherwise, it kind of felt a little too hentai anime to me.
2. In the same way, when we DID finally meet the eldritch horror we kind of cringed it a bit too hard for my taste when we started talking about omegaverse fanfiction. I’m. Listen, okay, no judgment, but that felt too on-the-nose for what I’m dealing with. I’m not even kinkshaming and I ALSO wanted to leave when the horror did. It felt a bit too….random, quirky…? for my tastes.
3. I’m sorry. But. The fated mates were a bit TOO fated. I’m all for fated mates, but it kind of loses its mystique when the human character who doesn’t have human mates spends all her time reading werewolf erotica WITH fated mates. A bit too on the nose for me.
4. The whole random incel storyline? Okay, but really? (And the one dude was named Chad…) It just took me out of the book for a bit, I’m sorry. Not to say that the storyline couldn’t have worked, but I felt the whole “these bad guys are incels” made it a bit too on the nose. They could have just hated demons, they didn’t have to spell it out for me that these were bad people.

What a super fun read! I absolutely adored Felix and Brie <3 This was a quick, lighthearted romcom that gave me such cozy vibes despite the chaos that ensued chapter after chapter. This book was definitely a bit spicier than I had anticipated... and very adventurous with the spice at that! The spice wasn't my cup of tea but I guarantee that lots of readers will absolutely DEVOUR it. I thoroughly enjoyed this read and cannot wait to read more by Lemming!

This review will contain spoilers, but honestly, I don't think anyone's experience would be lessened by them.

I almost couldn't finish this. I wanted so much to love it, considering what a delightful romp the first book was, but this book was so packed full of sentence fragments and just really basic grammar errors that I couldn't enjoy it. Beyond that, the plot left a great deal to be desired (random talking sword named Alexis? weird disembodied power that can somehow be defeated by monster romance fantasies?) and there were only like two spicy scenes - not nearly enough to make up for what the book lacked in story. I'm all for reading spicy garbage, but this had way too much garbage and not enough spice.

Giving it two stars just because the first spicy scene was 👌🏻. Without that scene, this book would be one star.

I adore Felix and Brie so much. They're both such funny and sweet characters. Felix's possessiveness and tail thumps had me swooning non stop while his lactose intolerance had me hollering. This story was nonstop fun from beginning to end and I'm so excited to be back in Boohail. Hazel Addison continues to do an amazing job narrating, I only wish she had a male costar to help voice the males in the series.

I really liked the first one, but somehow this one felt a little too much. I still like the cozy fantasy romance vibes, and tbh the subplot was super fun. But the romance felt weird to me. By the end I came around to it, but the getting there felt a little off for me. idk maybe it was the tentacles.

Sweet honey mead and cheese curds I love this series!

The second installment of the Mead Mishaps series follows our girl Brie and her fated mate Felix. Sweet precious Felix. I’ve loved him since we first met him in book one and I was so glad we got to see more of him. He really was the comic relief in this one, similar to Cin in book one. His interactions with Brie were so good and just put a big smile on my face. If I had a tail I would have been wagging it the whole time.

I especially wagged my tail when our girl Alexis returns!! I can’t believe one of my favorite characters in this universe is a talking sword 🤣

The centered mostly around the romance and relationship of our two main characters, as opposed to the quest Cin and Fallon went on in book 1.

Thank you to Orbit and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher!

I love Kimberly Lemming and these books! So dumb and hilarious and fun and cozy and smutty. The perfect palate cleanser and comfort read at the end of a hard day.

This was very stupid and very over the top and very fun. I'd say this falls into the genre of "cozy smut." I like all the demons and humans trying to figure each other out, the smut was decent (though I am personally not at all into the... supernatural elements included here-- see: <spoiler>tentacles and knotting</spoiler>).

An obnoxious talking sword is always a good time, and the way her beloved omegaverse stories played into the plot at the end? I gotta admit that made me laugh out loud.

Out of Order:
Should I have read the first book in the series first? Maybe. I'm largely of the opinion that romance series can be read in any order and the big plot happenings don't drastically affect the sequel in ways that are difficult to follow along with, but also the sequels don't overly spoil what happens in the previous book. I didn't feel like I was missing out, but this was fun enough that I'll backtrack once my library hold comes in (this hold just happened to pop first).

Will I Read More of These?:
Totally. They're short, stupid fun, and very silly. Which I can vibe with. ;)

Read this and loved it just as much as the first! These are all so charming and fun, this world is the absolute best and I hope she writes 10 more because I'll eat up every single one.

If Kimberly writes it, I read it! This series is fun, cute, cozy, and hot! I loved this book! I really enjoyed the couple in this one, it was fun to see their story unfold. If you want a low stress read that will make you giggle and blush, this is it.

When a cheesemaker accidentally doses a lactose intolerant werewolf in a love potion her life is turned upside down because he's convinced she's his mate but she can't believe him since she dosed him by accident. Brie accidentally throws a drink at someones head... but ends up hitting a stranger and said drink was actually a love potion. Said stranger she hit is none other than Felix, a werewolf who knows after seeing her that she's his mate, too bad she doesn't believe him. Felix knows the potion has nothing to do with how he feels about Brie, but he'll have to find a way to convince her that its real. This was such a cute raunchy rom com and it was a fast read. This series has been so much fun and all the characters and couples are hilariously adorable.

*Thanks Netgalley and Orbit Books, Orbit for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review*

Thanks to NetGalley & Orbit Books for the early copy in exchange for an honest review.

A very snarky and fun paranormal romance! I actually wish it was a bit longer because the world seems really fascinating. I didn't realize this was the second in a series so I'm going to read the first one ASAP. Felix was a very sweet and charming romantic lead and Brie's a strong independent protagonist and their scenes together were incredibly entertaining to read.

That Time I Got Drunk and Yeeted a Love Potion at a Werewolf is the excellent sequel to That Time I Got Drunk and Saved A Demon. This story follows Cinnamon’s best friend Brie. When Brie tosses a glass, she has no idea it contains a love potion. And it has an unintended target- Felix, the werewolf. Brie and Felix must now work together to solve the mystery of missing girls in the village. As they deal with the potion aftereffects, Felix realizes that Brie is his fated mate. While Brie wishes that were true, she doesn’t trust that Felix isn’t being influenced by the love potion. Will Brie have a happily-ever-after or lose Felix once the potion wears off?

I loved Brie!! All of Kimberly Lemming’s characters have a relatable and hilarious energy, but Brie felt special to me. Lemming writes the type of characters that you wish you could hang out and get dinner with. Brie has impeccable taste in both cheese and smutty romance books. I loved how she used that knowledge when defeating the evil luring the girls from the village. Felix is a sweetheart and I enjoyed having his POV. The world-building was expanded in this book and more magical creatures were introduced. I also listened to the audiobook and the narrator really brought the story to life. I would recommend this book if you love fated mates, strong heroines, forced proximity, great ensemble characters, and lots of witty dialogue. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series!

This one was as fun as the first. These are really lighthearted and low stakes, so great reading if you are in the mood for a quick, uplifting read. There's a 5/5 spice level on these, so if that's not your thing, then look elsewhere. If you don't mind spice, these are just so much fun to read. Definitely recommend reading the first one first, as these build on one another quite a bit. The world building is fun, the side characters are AMAZING, and the women are kick ass. These are fun for sure!

This cozy fantasy was much spicier than I realized it would be, but thoroughly enjoyable. A cheesemaker accidentally throws a love potion on a werewolf at the bar, but he claims it's not just magic convincing him she's his fated mate. With a cult kidnapping women and a werewolf doing everything in his power to make her love him, Brie isn't sure which way to turn-- especially when Felix start making her wildest romance book fantasies come true.

A fun silly follow up to the first book and characters from the first book make appearances in the second. It was less heavy handed in the meta humour and was far more carefree and silly which I enjoyed.

Girl was just trying to get herself out of a situation with an overly pushy slime ball that tried giving her a spiked drink and instead hits a werewolf in the head with a love potion triggering her new adventure and ensuing (and slightly resisting) romance.

🍻grumpy and jaded FMC
🍻near-literal golden retriever type MMC
🍻dual POV
🍻pesky love potion worries
🍻marriage for safety sake
🍻fated mates
🍻demonic werewolf 🪢👀
🍻missing women
🍻OG couple as side characters

Sweet cinnamon roll, golden retriever demon BFF from book one gets paired with Cin’s childhood BFF after she whacks him over the head with a love potion that some entitled creep had almost made her drink. Honestly, it just perfectly begins the two major issues for this sequel: fated mates and fighting spells, but also women being stolen for magical nefarious purposes. I don’t want to say too much to attempt to avoid spoilers, but loved the girl power in beating the Big Bad for this story.

And the romance progressing alongside the mystery was fun to read as well. This one was the sweetest of the series, I think. But it’s definitely not without its own spice. This series is super addicting and all of the characters are so engaging. I want to know so much more about this world and read about the other side characters introduced finding their own happiness and happily ever afters.
