Mead Mishaps is quickly becoming one of my favorites series. Felix and Brie's love story was fun, spicy, and hilarious. I feel like Felix had the perfect personality for a werewolf. He's serious at times, but usually fun and goofy like a dog. He lowers Brie's hostility and teaches her it's okay to be vulnerable.
I struggle a little bit with the instalove of these stories. This one we were saying "I love you" inside of two weeks and I can't necessarily vibe with that. However, I understand it fits within the context of these stories and this time period. The time period flexes a bit which makes sense given the magical aspect but I can't always tell if it's a medieval time or a more modern one.
Alexis was hilarious, Felix was adorable, and Brie was fun to get to know. Can't wait for the third book!

Kimberly is the queen of fantasy romance. She sets up a fun little plot and makes these books fast-paced and a good laugh. I also know this isn't a cozy fantasy but somehow it feels cozy. I also love how Kimberly writes the spice scenes and how well she connects the characters!! Over all an amazing read that I will always recommend!!

This was really fun and sweet and hot. I prefer this story to the first in the series. Although the side story was confusing... (there was a giant lobster at some point....?!), I didnt really need the fantasy or the plot to make too much sense cause I was here for the love story and the jokes and both were delivered.

Kimberly Lemming's *That Time I Got Drunk and Yeeted a Love Potion at a Werewolf* is a hilarious and wildly entertaining romp through a supernatural world where magic, mayhem, and unexpected romance collide. From the outset, Lemming's irreverent and witty narrative style sets the stage for a delightfully chaotic adventure that will leave readers laughing out loud.
The story follows Jess, a young witch with a penchant for mischief and mixology, who finds herself in a sticky situation after a night of reckless potion-making. When her love potion intended for a crush goes awry and hits a werewolf instead, chaos ensues. What unfolds is a madcap journey filled with misunderstandings, absurd situations, and surprising revelations about love and identity.
Lemming's characterizations are a highlight of the novel. Jess is a lovably flawed protagonist whose impulsive decisions and quick wit make her both endearing and relatable. As she navigates the consequences of her drunken escapade, readers are treated to a rollercoaster of emotions—from laughter at her misadventures to empathy as she grapples with the unintended effects of her magic. The supporting cast, including the hapless werewolf and a colorful array of supernatural beings, adds layers of humor and charm to the story.
The novel's setting is a vibrant tapestry of supernatural elements and contemporary chaos. Lemming effortlessly blends magical realism with everyday life, creating a world where potions and spells coexist with modern technology and social media. The result is a setting that feels familiar yet fantastical, enhancing the comedic moments and adding depth to the characters' experiences.
At its core, *That Time I Got Drunk and Yeeted a Love Potion at a Werewolf* is a story about the unpredictability of love and the consequences of meddling with magic. Lemming's exploration of these themes is lighthearted yet insightful, touching on themes of identity, acceptance, and the power of genuine connections. Through Jess's escapades, readers are reminded of the importance of authenticity and honesty in relationships, whether magical or mundane.
As the plot unfolds, the laughter intensifies, leading to a climax that is as heartwarming as it is uproariously funny. Lemming's narrative pacing keeps readers engaged and entertained, with unexpected twists and turns that keep the story fresh and engaging. By the time you reach the novel's conclusion, you'll be left with a smile on your face and a fondness for the quirky characters who brought this magical tale to life.
Kimberly Lemming's *That Time I Got Drunk and Yeeted a Love Potion at a Werewolf* is a delightful romp filled with humor, heart, and magical mishaps. With its witty dialogue, lovable characters, and whimsical premise, this book is a must-read for anyone who enjoys comedic fantasy and stories that celebrate the absurdities of love and magic. Prepare to be enchanted and entertained by Jess's unforgettable misadventure in the world of supernatural romance.

Thank you to the publishers, author and NetGalley for the free copy of this book.
This was fine but not really my thing. It made me chuckle a few times reading it though! Maybe I would have been more involved if I had read the first one but I'll leave this one at an interesting experience.

black people and folklore is the best combination I've ever heard of. give me fourteen of em right now.

This was a really fun read. I enjoy the world this author has created. The book was very spicy but still had an interesting and well written plot, it didn’t feel like the plot was secondary to the romance. I’ll enjoy reading more from this author!

I'm obsessed with the cover of this book! If you're a Baldur's Gate girlie, you will understand when I say that the main character looked like Astarion to me.
This is the second in the Mead Mishaps series by Kimberly Lemming. I loved the first, and I love this one as well! Kimberly is gifted at writing main characters that are hilarious, witty, relatable, and strong. We might be living in a world where fantastical things can happen, but she doesn't fail to make sure characters are well-rounded and developed.
Obviously, prepare for a fun read and prepare for some spice as well!

Unfortunately I just don't think this series is for me. I'm left wanting a bit more plot and world building, as well as detail. I love a good light romance / smut book but this just wasn't it for me.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
My Selling Pitch:
Do you want to read an unserious instalove monster romance that isn’t quite satire? She’s a romp.
Pre-reading:
I both love and hate these covers.
Thick of it:
One of us, one of us. Kindle Unlimited is a cult, I swear.
Anything you read, I’ll do to you when you get home!!! All us book girlies are exactly the same.
Rom coms love toilet humor.
I love the pirate captain and her hyena. I can’t wait for her book.
G spot sin
This is me absolutely nitpicking, but I hate that it’s down her cunt and not up it.
This book is adorable.
I want to stay with you, in your room, in your bed. Okay well, that’s not gonna happen. That audio lives rent-free in my head.
How does it always become tentacles? I sign up for hairy beast men and somehow I wind up with kinky calamari.
Girlypop kinda knows how to write dirty talk, and I will not be commentating further.
Samantha: having a grand old time
Also Samantha: the logistics of the up and down prepositions are not working and it’s breaking my mental stage directions
Lol a duskwalker?
Me normally: how do they just adjust to the supernatural so fast?
Me right now: let the dog in the house
His grumpy inner monologue is so cute. Also, the audiobook narrator is so good.
OK, this is probably just a me thing, but I really dislike how manipulative he is. Like I know the whole demon thing, but it’s just a little too calculated and like you’re forcing her hand. It’s turning me off. He’s like I’m gonna steal her book, so she touches me. I’m gonna threaten to throw her in the river unless she says what I want. Like it’s innocent-ish teasing, but it’s also like it’s only been a few days, and don’t force people to do things. It’s a little gaslighty. I don’t think it would bother me as much if the relationship was more established, but because there’s already hinky issues of consent, it’s kind of like you need someone to enthusiastically choose this, not be manipulated into it, you know? (Didn’t ruin the book for me, but did prevent me from book boyfriending.)
I don’t know what’s happening, but it’s so funny. (The gator sword bit.)
A little bit Alexis🎶
This book is fun. It’s so self-aware.
It reminds me of Bride.
Oh, I don’t like that. We took away her choice again to be a werewolf? I don’t like it.
Post-reading:
This was a silly goofy good time. It’s so unserious. I was honestly expecting a bit more smut, but this book had some plot for a backbone. I feel like this series really straddles the line of is this a romance or just straight-up erotica. It’s better than the first book. The pacing is better. The dialogue flowed a little more naturally even though it’s still camp af. It was less cringe.
The characters are still pretty bland and one note, but you kind of expect that from this type of book. I didn’t love the MMC’s behavior in this book. A lot of his actions were framed as tehee, he’s so obsessed with her, but are actually pretty calculated and manipulative. It felt icky to me especially when your romance’s main obstacle is dubious consent. I think it’s more from sloppy writing than advocating for toxic relationships. It’s definitely meant to come off as adorable. The side character Alexis is crazy, but she made the book for me.
Overall, the book’s just fun. If you need a break from heavy books-a little smooth brain reset, and want bonkers fantasy smut, this is worth picking up.
Who should read this:
Fans of camp
Monster romance girlies
Unserious palette cleansers
Do I want to reread this:
Nah, but they’re so smooth-brain easy readers that they’re relaxing. Keep ‘em coming.

Uproariously funny and a laugh out loud wild ride! A perfect sequel to the first installment. I loved the cameos of the important players from the first book. And Brie and Felixs story was just as good! Such a great series! Cant wait for the next one!

I am a huge fan of Romantasy and a huge fan of Kimberly Lemming! I think I own all of her current works now. Her writing is fun and whimsical. There is always a laugh or two or three involved as well. This one follows Cinnamon's best friend Brie (a cheese maker - did I mention the fun puns and word play? yeah it has that too!) and her werewolf pirate lactose intolerant lover. Their clandestine meeting starts with a bar fight and a yeeted love potion that hits Felix right in the face. He seems to think she is his fated mate. She seems to think the love potion has gone to his.....head. They decide to wait until the potion wears off and see what remains of their feelings for each other. But she's falling fast and doesn't know what she will do if it wears off and he leaves too.

Every time I crack open another book from this series, I find myself falling harder for it. This was my second go-round with Kimberly Lemming's work, and let me tell you, it was an absolute blast. Seeing her move from Kindle Unlimited to traditional publishing is like watching your favorite indie band hit the big time—they deserve it. Lemming's storytelling is just so darn cozy, and her characters, like Brie and Felix, are like old friends you never want to say goodbye to. I loved how deep Lemming went with them; they felt real, ya know? And Brie's struggle to let her guard down? Relatable. Plus, this book is a riot! It's got humor, heart, and just the right amount of steaminess. I'm already counting down the days till the next one hits the shelves!

This book was so hilarious. A cheese maker and a lactose intolerant werewolf. It was honestly such a joy. The snark and comedy in this book was golden. The characters felt so well rounded. This one is such a great read. There is a lot of light and fun comedy in addition to harder topics like past trauma. This story had a great flow and moved so smoothly that I read this book in a day with no breaks. I loved it.

This was so fun. This was a super fast read no loved it from start to finish. I loved the world and I loved the characters. It’s worth the read.

This was a fun romantasy that would have been even better with more expansion to the world building and depth to the characters. For a quick and steamy read look no further, but if you wanted more about the characters a slightly slower burn (which I did) you might feel a little disappointed.

That Time I Got Drunk and Yeeted a Love Potion at a Werewolf by Kimberly Lemming is a fantasy romance romp in the Mead Mishaps series.
I'm so glad to remain in this world because I really enjoy Lemming's worldbuilding. This is the second book in the Mead Mishaps series, after That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon. We follow the best friend of the protag from TTIGDASAD (spice trader Cinnamon): a plus size cheesemaker named Brie. The hero of the tale is our favorite bisexual blonde werewolf, Felix, who happens to be allergic to cheese and is kind of a golden retriever hero.
I did a blended read where I followed along with the physical book while listening to the audio version I borrowed from my local library. Hazel Addison does a wonderful job narrating and was lovely to listen to.
In comparison to the first book in the series, while it was just as fun and the pacing was better the plot wasn't quite as good. The character arcs were amazing, though! There's a lot of good consent work here.
If you're looking for some fun and steamy fantasy romance that will make you literally laugh out loud (if you like irreverent humor), you need to check out this series!

Just like the other books in this series, this book is quirky and fun. It is a light fantasy romance that keeps it silly and smutty.

I have so much fun with these books. Silly and campy but so romantic and fun. A great getaway from the real world. Can’t wait to continue to read more by this author

Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC.
I bet Kimberly Lemming is fun to hang out with. Her books are so joyful! This sequel is better than the first and had me laughing out loud. Brie gets herself into all kinds of wacky situations after she accidentally uses a love potion on a stranger. He ends up being a pretty good dude/werewolf and the story takes a romantic turn before moving toward chaos. The climax of this book is absolutely hilarious.
