This was so fun and cute and steamy! I liked this one more than the first book in the series and I had a great time. As always I love the personalities of the characters and how it’s just a good time in this world!

This series is fun. I am a big fan of the silly little monster romances. They’re easy to get through and while it’s not the best written book ever, that’s not why you read it. They’re ridiculous and over the top, but it’s a funny, lighthearted story and a good time to read when you don’t want something too serious.

I found this book to be really engaging and I loved the premise. I'm a sucker for cozy fantasy and romance so this story was right up my alley. I am looking forward to reading other books by the author.

Well, I think I'm going to call it as far as this author goes. I wanted to give the second book a chance even after disliking the first one, since, on paper, there's a lot here that I should like! I love fantasy, romance, and a good douse of humor (T. Kingfisher is one of my favorite authors and holds the gold star, in my opinion, of how best to mix these three elements together). But I struggled with the first book for many reasons, and, unfortunately, much of that continued here.

First off, I don't like the humor. This is a very subjective thing, so it will definitely work for others. But for me the cheesiness was only outweighed by the sheer cringe of much of it. I was so busy flinching at the attempts at wit that it was incredibly difficult to remain focused on the story,

I also didn't love the romance, either the love story itself or the smut. On the romance side of things, I felt like this was high on the "instalove scale," particularly on the MMC's side. They seemed to just immediately fall for one another, and from there on out, it was less a "love story" than it was just an excuse for spicy scenes. Which, I can be on board with in the right context, but this wasn't it. Again, the cringe was high. I don't think I'm particularly prudish, as far as it goes, but most of these spicy scenes simply read as crude more than enticing. I felt voyeuristic in the worst way through most of it.

Overall, this really wasn't my thing in any way. I'll even say that having read this one, I might have even preferred the first, a book that I really didn't enjoy at all. I'm sure there are readers who will enjoy this, but I think the cozy cover and vibes the book gives off belies the actual content which is much more crude, corny, and cringey.

This was a pretty big disappointment for me. I really loved the first book, but this one took quirky writing to a whole new level and it left me cringing every other page. I just do not like the characterization of these characters and I am unsure if I will be continuing this series.

If I thought I loved, "That Time I got Drunk and Saved a Demon" it has nothing on this book. I LOVE Brie and Felix so much. I connected on a more personal level with Brie than I did Cinnamon.
Brie is a human that accidentally throws a love potion at Felix, a werewolf. If the title didn't give that away. However, to complicate matters, Felix imprints on Brie. The book follows the adventures of Brie and Felix trying to work through the love potion and imprinting. While also discovering the reason why single women are mysteriously going missing in town.
I know I already said it, but I loved Felix and Brie. As a couple, individually, I loved them. Their relationship was sweet. I loved the growth between them. Can we also talk about the Kraken in the room? My sweet cheeseballs, the spice in this book was delicious. Some of the best I've read. It was monster smut that didn't take itself seriously and somehow that made it even hotter. I loved this book. 5/5 all the way from me. Kimberly Lemming is quickly becoming an auto-buy author for me. I'm so grateful I was given the opportunity to review this.

This book was definitely knottier than the first (wink wink). I enjoyed this book so much and I definitely identify with the lactose intolerance 😂. This was definitely fun and swoony with witty banter. I love that the main character is a reader, feels like a fourth wall situation and I was into it. Definitely recommend. Kimberly lemming is definitely an autobuy author for me! I binged all her books and I can’t wait for her new book to come out! I love that the original covers were drawn by the author herself. What a boss!

This series has been giving me so much joy lately! I just need so much more of these characters in my life.

I loved Felix since we first met him in book 1, and the fact that he just continues to make me adore him here is *chefs kiss*.

Brie captured my heart from her first moments - and the way these two fall in love? Beautiful.

Can't wait to read the 3rd book, and I don't know what I'm going to do when I finish it and have to find something else to read. I love being in this world with these characters.

Funny, romantic and utterly delightful, Kimberley Lemmings' That Time I Got Drunk and Yeeted a Love Potion at a Werewolf is one of my favourite reads of 2024 thus far.

This was a delight, a warm fantasy romance. I found myself enjoying this as much as the other ones. The characters are so cute, I love the diversity in the books. The spice was spicing, it got hot.

Once again, just a fun, fun read. With a mix of great characters and damn good spice this series continues to deliver. Can't post on my socials about it because of the mortification I will feel knowing my family looks at that for book reccs these days. Starting the third one and am enjoying the low stakes for once.

Kimberly rules. I think the title and cover art are genius. Being able to infer exactly what I was walking into, I was pleased to find this was well-written and absolutely hilarious.

Laugh out loud funny! This book is exactly what you need after a long day and you wanna relax and read. I enjoyed the original characters and departure from the "damsel in distress" narrative.

What a great sequel to the first hilarious installment in this series! I’m so appreciative for having received this audiobook as soon as I asked for it after finishing the first one. I would’ve hated to have to wait in line at my library because I was having too much fun to take a break.

This second book had my favorite beginning of all the books in this series. It started out dramatically (on a small scale) and was balanced well with a good sense of humor. Brie was a fun character to get to know and Felix was my favorite mMC of the series. He’s just so adorable while still being a badass protector.

Similarly to book 1, this one struggled a bit on the plot side. I did like it a little more in that sense but still felt it was too easy and quickly fixed to have done it justice. Again though, I was having too much fun for this to bring my opinion down very much.

My rambly review will be available ok TT in the next few days.

While I adored That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon, the sequel missed the mark-- at no fault of the author. This one just didn't appeal to me as much as the previous entry. While I loved the idea of a literal golden retriever boyfriend, Felix wasn't as enjoyable of a male character as Fallon, and Brie was missing something that Cin seems to have. All that said, I still read the book in its entirety and plan on reading the next entry it's really as simple as this book wasn't for me, and sadly at least at the moment, I am not quite able to put my finger on the reason why.

Thank you Orbit Books for providing me with an eARC of this novel. My full review for this book will be available on Geekyst on May 3, 2024.

So so cute. It's a romance that was lovely between Brie the cheese maker and a lactose intolerant werewolf. She throws a love potion that accidentally lands on the werewolf and he is literally after her, it's insta love that was cute and silly. A page turner and I loved it.

This series is such fun! Cheesemaker Brie (!) ends up falling for a lactose intolerant werewolf and hilarity and sexy times ensue. Can’t wait to read book 3!

This book was fun! I didn't enjoy it quite as much as the first in the series, but I will still keep reading other books in this world. I loved the idea of the talking sword and the dragon pairing that was suggested at the end!

Thank you to Netgally, the publishers, and Kimberly Lemming

When I requested this book I was unaware that it was apart of a series, one that requires you to read the previous books for this one to make sense. I am unable to read all the previous books along with this one before the publish date. Therefore, I will rate this a fair 3/5 stars and will adjust the rating and review when I am able to read all the books in the series along with this one.
