This is just pure fun loving smut. Lots of laughs and sweet loving. This is the perfect read if you’re in a slump. It is just hot fun that will make you laugh at all the characters. This is a kick your feet fun and quick read.

Yet another stellar installment in this delightful series. This is the sort of book to pick up when you’ve had a rough day and need to bring a smile to your face. Or if you’re having a great day and just want a laugh. Heck, this is a book for every day. It’s funny, sweet, spicy, and deliciously imaginative.
Full of magic, curses, demons, werewolves, tentacles, and false gods, there’s something for everyone, I promise.
10/10 These books make my day better.

THAT TIME I GOT DRUNK AND YEETED A LOVE POTION AT A WEREWOLF basically opens with Brie fending off the unwelcome advances of a local man. Frustrated that he can't take "no" for an answer, Brie throws his proffered drink at him. However, it accidentally ends up hitting Felix, a werewolf. Soon after she finds out the drink actually contained a love potion. Stuck with a lovestruck werewolf who swears Brie is his fated mate, entertainment ensues. Brie has to decide whether to give in to her attraction to Felix or risk his demise if she does not.
This second installment of the Mead Mishap series is much lighter on the plot than THAT TIME I GOT DRUNK AND SAVED A DEMON. Right off the bat the title suggests seriousness is not the name of the game. And it certainly lives up to that expectation between the premise and the sassy banter between all characters. However, I think it takes a reader who is flexible and willing to just go with the flow to fully enjoy this story.
The story very quickly gets to the spice without much character or relationship development. Granted, I suppose it's hard to establish a relationship when it involves a love potion, instalust, and the threat of dying if that lust remains unsatiated. That said, I had not yet become attached to the characters. So my mind wasn't ready for the quick jump to very personal relations. (I've come to realize that this is definitely a personal preference of mine: relationship development first then proceed to the fun times.) Also, for those looking for something a little different, some of the spice is a bit niche.
I think I might have better enjoyed YEETED A LOVE POTION AT A WEREWOLF if it had more of a plot. Rather, it's a "slice of life" fantasy romance with a little bit of adventure at the end. I found I wasn't quite the audience for it, but it may work well for other readers. As such, it didn't captivate me as much the first book, though I appreciated Brie's "take no shit" attitude. It's a quick and easy read and, despite my subjective experience and opinion, it was a great palate cleanser after reading an action-packed epic fantasy.

This series is just a breath of fresh air. I love these characters and the mishaps they get into. Felix was such a fun character in the first book, loved his love story. Brie though, I LOVE Brie. She is so relatable and funny and overall, just amazing. I would read 50 of these stories. Whatever Kimberly Lemming decides to write I'll read.

I absolutely loved this story, a great 2nd book in the series! This story follows Cinnamon's best friend, Brie. Brie accidentally knocks a love potion onto the werewolf, Felix, but he is convinced that he is actually her mate. As they try to determine what is real and what is the love potion, women also are mysteriously disappearing from their little town. The story is fast paced, and the connection between Brie and Felix is really sweet! All the characters are so funny and relatable. There even is a talking sword side kick! I really enjoyed this!

I couldn’t help myself. As soon as I finished That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon, I immediately started That Time I Got Drunk and Yeeted a Love Potion at a Werewolf. And it was just about as cute as its predecessor. Though way, way spicier.
The first book was definitely open door, don’t get me wrong. But this book blew the door completely off. You know that TikTok sound that goes “What happened to hello? How are you? My name is?” That echoed in my head as I read one of the raunchiest scenes I’ve ever read in traditionally published fiction right around a third of the way into a very short book. I’m not complaining. I’m just warning you. Be prepared.
I liked Brie and Felix, but didn’t feel like they captured quite the same magic as Cinnamon and Fallon. I thought that Brie’s protestations made less sense, and her capitulation came too easily. Then again, she is a serious spicy romance reader herself, and was living her best life. Hard to fault her for that. My favorite aspect was actually the introduction of a new character: the snarky, horny, sentient sword, Alexis. She was fabulous.
This entire story felt just a tad rushed to me, in comparison with the first Mead Mishaps book. But was it still fun? Also-freaking-luting. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it, and immediately moved on to the most recently published installment, That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Human. This is shaping up to be the perfect comfort read series.

Another good installment full of humour, love, and great sexy times! I am really enjoying this series and can't wait to read the next one!

Thank you Netgalley and Orbit for this ARC!
- this was a reread, and it was just as fun the second time! I read the indie version the first time, and I didn't notice any major changes with this one (which I was happy about because I enjoyed the original so much!)
- I love how ridiculous the plot is in this one! She set the bar pretty high as far as nonsense goes in book one, but book two does an impressive job of surpassing the level of nonsense. The addition of Alexis and the villain at the end (staying vague to stay spoiler free) were so incredibly strange in the best way.
- I loved how much we got to see Cin and Fallon in this one, and she managed to never make it feel like they were overshadowing Brie and Felix!
- I love the fated mates + love potion situation so much! The way that plays out, especially at the end, is fabulous.
-The use of dual pov with Felix being literally obsessed with Brie was excellent!

I’m obsessed with this series. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book thanks to Kimberly Lemming, NetGalley and Orbit Books in exchange for an honest review.
As always, the author has created a cozy fantasy setting full of our loveable demons. Since the first book, I was looking forward to Felix’s love story, and this one was hilariously cute. I loved Brie and Felix’s dynamic, and how adorable determined he was that they were imprinted from the start. The spice of course, was very well written.
I missed some of the adventure from the first book, but still greatly enjoyed this cozy story, kicking my feet in glee alongside the quirky banter. I can't wait to read the next in the series!

I don't think I have ever read anything like this book but boy oh boy do I want more. I don't know what the genre is supposed to be, but I call it Cozy Fantasy Spicy Romance. Have you ever read the perfect book at the perfect time, that was this for me. I needed this story of romance and friendship with low angst but just a lovely story.
The more I try and explain this book to people the weirder and funnier it comes out, but I need to tell people about this book.
I laughter and levity while reading was so perfect but there was real feeling also. Brie not knowing if Felix was in love with her or just under a love spell was really emotional. The love spell was a perfect vehicle to get these two characters together and I loved the golden retriever love puppy that Felix was. I loved that she was a cheese maker, and he was lactose intolerant. The scene where she giv0es him cheese lives rent free in my head.
I loved the low stakes of the village girls being kidnapped. as it kept the story moving but still felt relaxing and the resolution of the big bad just was so out of this world and was so odd but worked so perfect with this very odd tale.
I recommend this any on that needs a fantastic story of magic gone wrong, evil ghouls, and adorable werewolves to anyone that love romance and cozy fantasies.

I really enjoyed the first Mead Mishaps book, but this one was in my mind a real punch of fun. With less immediate world-building needed, Lemming can revel in the hilarity. It's strangely earnest for a romp into... some wild romance places. Four very funny and heart-warming stars for a perfect cozy romantic fantasy. With some very intense bits of romance. Beware!

Unsurprisingly, Lemming gets to have some real fun with her second book - werewolves, a voracious reader who actively references omegaverse writing (knots!), a shitty incel cult, a talking sword, and again, more wonderful, fun, and funny black plus size main characters, and respect of consent issues with regards to love potions! Definitely in for the rest of this series (and hopefully more!).

Even after reading the first book, this book was unexpectedly weird (in a good way, I think). The whole Mead Mishaps series is so unserious and fun, the characters are hilarious and so so lovable, and it just doesn't take a lot of mental energy to enjoy them which I find so relaxing.
This story follows my boy Felix, and I pretty much dissolved into giggles with every action, breath and verbal utterance this man made. And Brie, who was slightly less interesting to me as a character but she's been through it, so we cut her some slack. The plot was fine, but honestly it isn't about the plot. If I wanted intricate high fantasy, I would go read it. The world and the character interactions are really the star of the show and they were indeed super fun so I am happy.

A handsome werewolf. A talking sword. My first ‘knot’ book. Kimberly Lemming is fast becoming one of my favorite authors just for her ability to take nothing seriously but still give me all the feels.

3.5 stars rounded up.
I didn’t like this one as much as the first book, but I still had a great time reading it! Felix and the talking sword Alexis were my fave characters. The humor and banter in these books is so fun and makes the time pass quickly.
Thank you NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Lemming's fantasy series is such a breath of fresh air! I truly love her character's modern voice, humor, and relatability to today's readers. I was delighted to return to Cin's hometown and meet her friend Brie who happens to accidentally throw a love potion at the town's newest werewolf resident. She blames the potion, he claims she is his mate and thus begins their hilarious journey to get to know one another better while fighting against demons and danger. I laughed, swooned, and blushed! I can't wait to continue this series. Thank you to NetGalley and Orbit books for my e-arc.

I would like to thank NetGalley, Orbit Books, and the author for an advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

The second book in the Mead Mishaps series begins a few months after the end of the first book. Demons are integrating into human society. Cin and her best friend Brie (yes she’s a cheese maker, naturally) are out drinking when unwanted advances towards Brie cause her throw her drink, which turns out to be a love potion, but misses her target and hits a handsome stranger. A quest ensues to try to break the love potion’s curse.
This series so so much fun. I love that Brie is a romance reader and sets her inhibitions aside to enjoy her bookish fantasies with her werewolf, Felix. I haven’t read a lot of paranormal romances so this was a good intro (there’s knotting and tentacles). The plot kinda went off the rails a bit but was saved by a snarky talking sword, Alexis. I’m looking forward to reading the third book soon.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this arc. This is making its way to one of my top series. Brie and Felix are just so cute! I love seeing the story in this world expand as well! I’m so excited for the next one!

Spoilers ahead! I will start by saying that romance/fantasy is not my usual read and I especially do not gravitate towards spicy romance. However that won’t affect my review. I knew exactly what I was getting myself into lol. I heard so much praise for the first book that I had to check this one out. I think it could’ve been longer. I think the ending felt a little bit rushed. I wanted more from the perspective of Felix when he found out she had been captured. But I have to say, I enjoyed this. I actually loved being in this fantasy world and Felix really was the epitome of a golden retriever boyfriend. The story was very clever and the magic was fun. Love the diversity in characters. I didn’t love the spice but that’s ok. There wasn’t as much as I was expecting and it didn’t drag on and on and it wasn’t described super cheesily. All in all this was fun and I think I actually would read the next one and should probably read the first one. I’m giving it 3.5-4 stars. Thank you to NetGalley for this e-ARC.

I didn't know this was a book two, so I was a bit nervous going in about how much I might have missed but there was no need! Things were explained just enough that I understood but could still go back and read book 1 and enjoy it. That being said, this is so funny and romantic. A genuine romcom fantasy, I'm so pleased. I will definitely be giving this author more attention!
