That time I Got Drunk and Yeeted a Love Potion at a Werewolf was a great second book to the series. I loved the little connections with the novella as well. I always adore standalone novels that still keep up with the first books characters. I like to know they’re still doing good. It was a funny and sexy book. Although, this was my first book that had tentacle play and I found that a little off putting, but that’s at no fault of the author. I just wasn’t expecting it. The pacing was pretty smooth despite the book only being less than 300 pages. Can’t wait to dive into the next one!

That Time I Got Drunk and Yeeted a Love Potion at a Werewolf is the second installment in the Mead Mishaps series. This story follows Brie, Cinnamon’s best friend from the first book, and the title tells it all. Brie hits Felix with a love potion and all goes downhill (or uphill, depending on your perspective) from there! All is well in Boohail until single women start going missing. With Felix distracted by his infatuation of Brie, the gang of demons have a hard time figuring out what’s going on. Meanwhile Brie is trying to figure out if Felix’s feelings are true or just the love potion taking control.

This book was a DELIGHT! Coming back into this world and expanding on the story was so fun. Lemming knows how to make you laugh out loud at some of the craziest things in her books. This book is SPICY!! Spicier than the first for sure. I don’t read books with spice so it was quite a change for me, again, but not like some spicy books. It’s just a fun little ride here. Not a cringey romp like most fantasy books. I never thought I would give a romantasy 5 stars, but here I am!! Kimberly Lemming, you are amazing and I love your books!!

Kimberly does it again in Mead Mishaps!

We come back to Boohail were Brie accidentally throws a love potion at a werewolf who falls in love and says she's his fated mate👀

I can not get enough of these characters. They are hilarious and sassy! The banter in this book is AMAZING!! I loved the first one but this one was even better than the last. I can not wait to see what she has in store for us next!

Thank you to NetGalley and orbit books for this arc. All thoughts are my own.

I love this series so much! I can’t believe I’ve only just discovered Kimberly’s writing in the last few months. I need to go back and read all of her stuff.

In this second installment of the Mead Mishaps series we follow Cin’s friend Brie as she navigates her relationship with her maybe, probably fated mate Felix.

Kimberly writes confident, curvy, cheese-loving FMCs who I would love to be friends with. Then pairs them with these MMCs who are kind, supportive and worship these women for all that they are. But don’t be fooled! These MMCs also have deliciously dirty mouths and I love when the steam hits.

I 100% recommend this series and I can’t wait to read book three.

Thank you to NetGalley, Orbit Books and Kimberly Lemming. These are my honest thoughts.

If you're looking for:
-humour, that errs on the vulgar side
-fated mates trope/paranormal insta-love
-a quick funny time
-lots of spicety spice spice

Nothing in this series takes itself seriously, which is an important part of its success! I did like this better than the first book, but I'm not sure if this series is quite for me - that said, if you like the first one, if you like the kind of smut presented in that one and things like Ice Planet Barbarians, than you'll love this - I think I may have just learned that I'm even more vanilla than I previously thought.

Kimberly Lemmings does it again! I don't think anything she writes will ever beat out That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon (though I would love to be proven wrong!!!!), but I loved this one almost as much. The whimsy, characters, romance, and SPICE were spectacular. I can't wait to read the third!

This is the second book in Lemmings Mead mishaps series. It follows Cin best friend Bree and a werewolf who Bree accidentally yeeted a love potion at- Felix. The title says it all. This is wildly hilarious, sexy book that you should definitely pick up. I absolutely loved it. Thank you Net galley for the eARC.

Loving the Mead Mishaps series! This book was cheesy and fun. It doesn’t always make the most sense, but that’s not why I’m reading it. In this one Brie accidentally throws a love potion at the back of Felix’s head who happens to be a werewolf and thinks he’s imprinted on Brie the moment he sees her. Brie thinks it’s just because of the love potion. Women are also starting to go missing. Fearful that Brie is in danger Felix lodges himself into Brie’s life. While protecting her Brie starts to warm up to Felix. After two weeks the love potion should wear off and Brie is terrified to know if she will lose the first person she’s loved . If you want a fast paced, funny, smutty book, highly recommend for a fun time.

Thank you NetGalley for the arc from Orbit!

This cover is so cute. I totally adore this series so much. I think I like this one better than the first and I did not even think it was possible. Felix is my new book boyfriend werewolf! Hot and caring! I loved Brie so much. The story was fun and so hilarious. There was so much spicy spice that I loved. I cannot wait to read the next one. I adore this author. Thank you to NetGalley and Orbit Books for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

In this book, we follow Brie as she tries to undo this love potion and basically falls in love with him. It’s quirky, fast-paced and so much fun! I think I might love this installment more than the first one!!

We have a charming werewolf who’s basically just a golden retriever and worships Brie. (I’m obsessed with all these cheese references). It was witty, funny, cute, and sexy. It’s very much a cozy fantasy kicked up a notch. I’m not super into paranormal romance but the unexpected tentacles and the other elements were definitely interesting.

I just love that it’s so lighthearted and some of it actually made me laugh out loud. I’m obsessed! I can’t wait to read more.

I have a complicated relationship with this series. See, it’s not that I didn’t enjoy it. I definitely did. But, my enjoyment of this book is purely on vibes.

This series is an interesting combination of modern language with a historical setting. If you aren’t aware of that going in, it can be pretty jarring. That is the main reason I rated the first book lower than this one. I think knowing the author’s writing allowed for me to enjoy this one so much more.

The content is a little on the nose and cheesy. It is trying to be relatable, which at time makes it a bit cringey. To be completely honest, I don’t even know how to begin explaining half of the things that happen in this book. I’m not sure you’d believe me if I did.

I really needed something low stakes and something I could turn my brain off for, and this was a good book for that.

Don’t go into this expecting complex plot. Just ride with the vibes.

This proves once again that cosy romance/fantasy books are not a want but an actual need for me.
Once again proving that they can perfectly craft an adorable romance in a few hundred pages, Kimberly Lemming is the queen of cosy romance for me.

Following book one, we have a new main character in Brie (whom we met in Book 1) and how she unwittingly hits a werewolf with a love potion after a creep intended to force it on her. Until the potion wears off, Brie & Felix are left to walk the line dealing with the very intense reactions of the potion.
Their interactions were so playful and wicked! I adored it when he found her romance books and teased her, saying he could reenact their possessive 'your mine' character. LISTEN, I'm big into werewolves, so I was fully inserting myself into this book! GIVE ME SWEET WEREWOLVES ALL THE TIME!

This is a fantasy series that doesn't take itself too seriously, and I love it.

Local cheesemaker Brie throws a drink at a guy who is bothering her, but it turns out the drink was laced with a love potion and the guy who was bothering her ducks, so instead she hits Felix, a werewolf. Felix knows as soon as he lays his eyes on Brie that she is his fated mate, but Brie's pretty sure that's the love potion talking, and he'll forget all about her as soon as she finds an antidote. And all the while, they're trying to figure out who keeps kidnapping women from the village.

Thank you to Orbit Books and NetGalley for providing me with an eARC!

Good lord, the way I loved this book. I had some trouble connecting to the characters and humor in book 1, so I was a little nervous going into reading this one, but IMMEDIATELY I fell in love with Brie. She is perfect and just like me. Her obsession with romance novels, her insecurities, her humor, all of it felt specifically tailored to me. I adore her and I adore Felix. I really, really enjoyed reading about their relationship, and I was pleasantly surprised at how the whole "love potion" thing was handled. Love potions, spells, pollen, etc. aren't typically my thing, specifically because of the issues with consent that those things bring up and the way it's so often paired with miscommunication, which has to be one of my top five most hated tropes. Kimberly Lemming handled both the consent issues and the potential miscommunication so beautifully though and it was a delight to read. My biggest complaint about their relationship is that it did feel very insta-lovey on Brie's part. I'll forgive Felix for it for the whole "fated mate" biological imperative but Brie fell in love like 2 days after knowing this man, which is a wild timeline. The side characters in this novel were also just so excellent. I need Usha to get her own book ASAP. And between Alexis and Nightblood from Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere novels, I think I'm developing a serious soft spot for kinda strange, incredibly unhinged talking swords.

Also the worldbuilding in this book??? Iconic. I am primarily a fantasy-first, romance-second reader so another thing from book 1 that I wanted more of was lore and information about the world. Yes I know these are romance-first, fantasy-second books and I love them for that but I am still so very curious. Kimberly Lemming expanded more on this world and the different types (species?) of demons, and their mating habits. Frankly, it's hilarious to me that I still don't have a good grasp on the cultural or power differences between types of demon but I do have a better understanding of how they find/choose mates. But we also got more insight into how Myva rose to power and what she's been up to since book 1. Let me just say, I was cackling so hard for that entire chapter.

This book is such a delightful and heartfelt book that had me giggling and blushing nearly the entire time. I am so excited to read book 3!

This is a lovely continuation of the series. We had more ridiculous over the top shenanigans. The use of tentacles in a werewolf story was hilarious. As well as the main character loving cheese more than life and the love interest being lactose intolerant. I'm glad that we got to follow characters that were friends with the couple in the first book. I'm also happy that the mc didn't push him away too much, despite believing his love was nothing more than an infatuation born from a poorly aimed love potion.

This book was sweet and hilarious, just like all of Kimberly Lemming's books! Felix and Brie were adorable even though they were thrust together due to the unwanted effects of a love potion. I loved watching them become obsessed with each other and their inner turmoil of whether or not Felix would still have feelings for Brie even after the love potion had worn off. The snippets of Cin and Fallon were very cute as well. The mystery/fantasy subplot of the book was also enjoyable--overall I had a fun time!

Another fun romp from Kimberly Lemmings. She is so talented at writing comedy in her books and I really enjoyed this.I also enjoyed that Lemmings expanded to including a more complicated relationship between her characters with the dynamics of the love potion. Once again, she delivered! I look forward to finishing the trilogy when all the books are published

fun and wild fantasy romance with lots of great characters.

Brie has always had bad luck in love. Then she throws a drink at someone's head but ends up missing entirely and hitting the stranger behind them. And the drink turns out to contain a love potion. With her cheese business and a ship full of demons in town, she doesn't want to also deal with telling a werewolf that she's not really his fated mate. But maybe he's a little more difficult to resist than she first thought...

This story is full of tons of zany characters that manage to have so much personality, which makes for a really fun, fast-paced read. Brie also ends up in a lot of weird situations and having Felix around to maybe rescue her or maybe just get looped into the chaos is also enjoyable to read. The premise definitely forces you to suspend disbelief a bit, but you do get exactly what you would expect from the title.

Due to the relatively short length of this book, I don't think we get quite as much character development as I would ideally like. We also have limited opportunities to see more of Brie's world. While I realize this is the second book in a series, so we have to use some of the previous knowledge in this book, I still wish we got to see more of the village.

Overall, if you're looking for a fun, lighthearted fantasy romance, definitely give this one a try. It's fast-paced and funny and I think it would make a great vacation read.

This is the perfect series to read if you're in need of a palate cleanser. The plot is so easy to follow and it takes you on a wild ride. I don't know if I've ever laughed so hard while reading. I really loved how Kimberly brought these characters to life. I felt like I was reading about a friend of mine. I will absolutely be picking up the other books in the series. This was perfectly easy to read as a standalone.

Book two of the Mead Mishaps, did not let me down in the least. In fact, I want to say I enjoyed this one even more because I feel I got to know Lemming’s style in book one which helped me jump into book 2 knowing I was in for a whirlwind romance filled with sarcasm, sex, and fun.

The two primary characters in this book are Brie and Felix. Brie is Cinnamon’s best (human) friend and Felix is her best (demon/werewolf) friend. The story opens soon after the end of book 1, and much time does not seem to have passed. Humans of Boohail are still getting used to demons being part of the norm and demons are trying to find their place in the world. Jack, an annoying human, is doing his best to wear down Brie into being with him, which she has no interest in. She knows his game and she knows he sees her more as a cash cow and money opportunity rather than a partner and potential mate. He brings her a drink with hopes she will drink it, but she flings it across the room where it strikes Felix and thus the story begins.

From there, I won’t give too many details because many are too graphic to share outside the pages of the book, but if you like wit, groveling ,sarcasm, and erotica where all fantasies may come true, this may be a good page turner for you. This didn’t used to be the type of book I would gravitate towards, but Lemming has created a world that keeps me coming back, time and time again. I can’t wait to get to book #3! I want to thank NetGalley and the Publisher for providing me with an advanced reader copy in return for my honest review and feedback.
