Loved this small town, single mom novel. It had a super cute meet cute and was fantastically steamy without being explicit. I feel like that is type of romance book that is kind of hard to find.
I loved that Jade was a super hard working and independent mom. She has such a great little business and is so wonderful with her son.
I really liked Levi too. He was surprisingly wonderful after an interesting start to the book. I didn't expect him to be so wonderful so it was a fun surprise. A little bit of a reformed playboy trope.
There was one part of the story that for me lacked a conclusion, but other than that it was so good. I would definitely read more in this series.
I received an advanced copy of the audiobook through NetGalley. This is my honest review.

Loving you by Samantha chase published September 2023. A very predictable romance. A hometown boy comes back to the small town. Then meets the single mother who has opened a coffee/book shop

HUGE thank you to Valentine PR & Literary Management as well as Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the opportunity to read/listen to and review this book.
I've been so freaking excited for this spin off series to start! It was everything I had hoped and more. Samantha Chase does not disappoint and Carly Robins is the perfect narrator for this series!
Here we are in Sweetbriar Ridge, finally!!! Here we go with Levi Donovan and his humbling tale. A poor judgement choice gets Levi fired from his super important, all consuming job and now no one will touch him. Levi ends up back home to try and get his life together and the first person he stumbles across when he arrives back in town is Jade, single mom trying to get her own business started. Jade has her own issues, her ex's mother has been doing her level best to blacklist Jade in Sweetbriar Ridge for the past 9 years.
This one is so good! If you have not read the Donovans of Laurel Bay I highly recommend starting there, but all the books can be read as stand alone if you really wanted to.

Jade is a single mother to an 8 year old. Levi is a hot shot in a big city before he gets fired and comes back to his hometown. They meet and have chemistry. They both have baggage they need to work through. This book was so cute & wholesome. I didn’t know what to expect but enjoyed.
Thank you NetGalley for ALC in exchange for an honest review!

This was so stinking cute! I love this family and town. I love how much it related with a reader in the beginning. More and more people are reading on tablets instead of physical books. The bookstore and its meaning is wonderful! I loved how he thought he was a big shot but got a little humble pie and became a sweetheart!! Thoroughly enjoyed this one!!!

Levi & Jade are the sweetest small town couple 💖
3.5 🌟
Small town charm, family dynamics & a single parent. This is an easy read/listen with a heartwarming ending to leave you feeling warm & cozy. The perfect book for a day relaxing. I loved the narration of the audiobook and let myself completely fade into this cute world.
Thank you NetGalley & Dreamscape Media for the Audiobook ARC!

I was so excited to see more of the Donovans even if this time we are going to Sweetbriar Ridge! Jade and Levi had my heart from the beginning! I loved how neither one of them wanted anything serious, but sometimes…life has other plans. Levi’s instant connection and friendship with Jade’s son!

I love Samantha Chase’s books. They all have similarities but also are unique stories. I love the character crossovers that happen. It is fun to hear storyline updates. This series is a spin off from Laurel Bay. This is a sweet small town romance and I can’t wait for more stories from Sweetbriar Ridge.

More Donovans! We are in another small town and we met this branch of the Donovans in Patrick's book. Levi lost his job and has come home to Sweetbriar, first for his mom's birthday and second to lick his wounds and hopefully get a response to his many job inquiries. What he didn't expect was to catch a beautiful woman falling off a ladder when he walked into the coffee shop. Jade fell into Levi's arms and her whole world changes. He is the brother of her baker. This single mom has just opened a new business and battling outside forces who are striking against her. What she didn't expect was to find someone who would not only help her business grow but also love her and her son as they are meant to. What a spectacular start to this series! I cannot wait to see where we go with this one.

Sweet and uncomplicated, I don't think it will be the most memorable of Samantha's books, but it is the kind of comfort read you can enjoy when you are in a reading slump

Quick Summary: A Donovan clan kickoff
My Review: Loving You by Samantha Chase is book one in the new Sweetbriar Ridge series. Just like the original series on the Donovans of Laurel Bay, this one is rich in family drama, antics, and love.
About the Book: Levi Donovan's life is about to change. Although he has to return home with his tail between his legs, he is soon humbled by his circumstances in the best way. Hard truths, overdue confessions, and the love of a good woman might just have something to do with his transformation.
Jade Mackenzie is no stranger to hard work. Since she became an adult, she has had to care for herself and her son. Now that she is a business owner, she has to hustle to make sure everything goes well. When a community nuisance attempts to sabotage her business, she has to enlist the help of a very attractive Donovan. Is it possible that she might just get her happily ever after?
My Final Say: I absolutely adore the Donovans. I have followed this family through Laurel Bay, and now I am excited to embrace the Donovans of Sweetbriar Ridge. I cannot wait to read more!
