The language is dense and poetic, with frequent use of 'inverted commas' 'emphasizing' the 'fluid' and 'elusive' 'nature' of 'identity'. This is not a straightforward read; it demands the reader's engagement and introspection, and it's a shame that I wasn't able to follow the narrative because I think it's probably a fascinating read if you can understand it.
