Fun and wholesome! I think it presented the themes of teenage curiosity, all the questions that arise and drive for exploration of *cough cough* certain themes really well. On top of that it was quite funny and the art is great. The focus of the story is the dynamic between the main girl and boy characters and making friends. Main girl is very dirty minded and the main boy character has an ability to read minds through touch. Even other side characters are really interesting and funny in their own way. Story is set mostly in high school, it has that very slice of life vibe to it and is easy, quick to read. The only bad thing is that it is maybe a little bit generic, a little bit forgettable, since I couldn't recall much of what I've read quite soon after finishing it. (But, I admit, that may had to do something with the fact that I read it in one go in the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep.)

A brilliant introduction to a series - Ogami is a young high school student who has an incredibly dirty mind and a healthy curiosity for the opposite sex. Yaginuma is her classmate with a strange ability - anyone who touches him immediately spills out what they are truly thinking, no matter how bizarre or inappropriate.

This was absolutely amazing, the dynamic between the main characters was lovely (they were both very likeable and strange in their own way) and it is a lot about friendship and accepting one another regardless of flaws. A few slightly cringey scenes which are necessary for this type of manga but everything tied in so well - I will absolutely be continuing this series, what an enjoyable volume!

I was provided with a complimentary copy of this manga volume by Kodansha via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review, which I leave voluntarily.

This was an interesting read. I really liked the art style! I may pick up the next volume. I’m thinking of putting this on a comedy endcap we are planning

Short and hilarious. Love that for once a female character has an overactive libidio - usually it's male characters who have that trait.

“Ogami-san Can’t Keep it In” vol.1 by Yu Yoshidamaru

4⭐️/5⭐️

-This was a short, funny, and raunchy manga. The basic premise is a group of loners getting together and becoming friends. You’ve got Ogami-san, the main character, who harbors secret ‘perverted’ thoughts. Now…I think she’s just a normal teenage girl, with a natural curiosity for the human body. Don’t all teenagers have those thoughts? I mean, your body is changing, it’s normal to be curious. There’s also Yaginuma-kun, who can’t stand to be touched. But, it’s because he has this magical ability to force the other person to say their innermost thoughts. There are a couple other characters that are introduced, but these are the main two characters.

-It’s a funny story, a very quick read, but also surprisingly wholesome. The four friends are all pretty different in terms of their social standing/groups, but they all have a common interest in being friends with each other. They all feel different from their peers, and through that they’re able to grow closer as a unit.

-If you’re looking for a short and humorous manga series, I’d definitely consider giving this story a chance.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this one, but I completely loved it! The artwork is pretty, the characters are cute and the character growth is good. I felt badly for Ogami-san and how she had no friends, self-imposed as it was, but to see her come out of her shell was really so wonderful to see.

I really want to continue with this series and highly recommend it. It's a bit silly and OTT and a tad on the older side, so I would probably recommend for YA readers on up.

5, I am IN, stars.

My thanks to NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for an eARC of this book to read and review.

I honestly thought I was going to read a very comedic/cringe volume so I kept it almost till the last day before expiring and found instead a fun but and not cringe at all read.

The title is a little weird ngl, but the story itself felt somewhat right and fun to read.
I liked all the characters, as well as the path the volume was taking till its end. I'm very curious to go forward with this series and will find it somewhere considering this is not serialized here in Italy.

There's an actual story behind this series, and it has my full attention!

This was a fun coming-of-age story with two quite unique characters. I loved the way the manga focused on friendship and acceptance. As an adult I found it entertaining, despite its high school setting and young adult protagonists. I'd definitely like to read the second volume to find out how the story of Ogami-san and Yaginuma-kun going to progress.

A glorious, and surprisingly poignant, romp through a teenager's head.

Ogami-san has a head full of fantasies. She is fascinated by the sexual differences between men and women, so is captivated by the beautiful loner at school, Yaginuma-kun. However, he isn't isolated by accident; other people touching him causes them to spill their innermost thoughts, no matter how personal. When Ogami accidentally learns of Yaginuma's quirk, the two begin a tentative friendship, especially with her doing everything she can not to expose too much.

What's nice about this story is how respectful and balanced it is to Ogami, as well as other characters, like Nezu. It explores a young woman learning about her sexuality in a jovial manner, with Yaginuma's ability enabling there to be an open expression of people's thoughts and feelings.

It's silly, but well-constructed, which just makes it fun.

Thank you to Netgalley and Kodansha Comics for the opportunity to read and review this manga. I will warn who reads this manga if you are not a fan of horny discussion when it comes to women, Don't read this. However, personally, I enjoyed it. yes, it doesn't usually fit my style, but there's quite a few wholesome friendship moments that are must read and show a story that isn't typically told but with a magical realism component that is intriguing.. Overall, I would recommend people to give it a try but with a caveat that it could make them uncomfortable. 4.5 out of 5 stars

Ogami-san Can't Keep It In is one of the most hilarious mangas I have read in a while. The main character(Yaginuma) when touched makes people reveal their truths and the other main character (ogami) is boy crazy and can't keep it in. I was laughing so hard at this manga I can't wait to read the next volume to see what hi-jinx ensues. I think it will definitely turn into a love story but as long as it keeps the funny side stories I wouldn't mind seeing that. I also enjoy the straight up friendship building in this. Yaginuma doesn't want friends because of the awkwardness that can come from them touching him but Ogami doesn't care and really just enjoys the friendship he offers. If you are looking for a light hearted manga this is clearly it.

Thank you NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for this arc!

4.25/5 stars!

This was silly, cute and actually so wholesome??? I love these little misfits and their friendship they've formed, honestly I could have done with more mundane hang out chapters. Show me these crafting parties!

Honestly, I wasn't expecting much from this. I picked it up on a whim mostly because sex-obsessed teenage girls generally don't feature as main characters.

But oh man, this was cute. The characters are misunderstood but sweet and just want to make friends.

Points off for things that are mildly inevitable because of the premise. In order to keep it cute rather than crude, you have pretty juvenile word choices used for male anatomy. It's also hard to determine where to shelve this series. It's a high school setting, coming of age story, and innocuous enough, but the title and summary would turn off anyone trying to buy or recommend for young adults. And honestly most manga sections don't do a good job of differentiating reading/age level until you hit actual pornographic material.

A funny manga that combines humor with angst surprisingly really well.

Listen. I know what you're thinking. This looks quite a perverted manga. And yes it really is. However among the hilarious sex imaginery there is a heartwarming story about a young girl dealing with shame over her sexual urges finding found family in the other outcasts of her school and picking up her confidence. Surprisingly quite meaningful and relatable :)

Ogami-san Can't Keep It In is about Ogami who happens to be a bit of a curious, naive pervert. One day, she is saved by her classmate and she makes the mistake of touching him, which causes her to say her thoughts out loud, a problematic situation follows. Ogami also doesn't have any friends yet.

This was an enjoyable read and I really liked the expressive art style. I haven't read a heroine quite like Ogami and would like to continue the series. Due to the highly sexual nature of the book though, it is tough to suggest it to my library for purchase. This is about high school students, but I feel this would be put in our adult manga section due to the sexual imagery and situations. I also work in a conservative area.

So as much as I enjoyed it, I don't feel I can recommend it to teenagers, it made even me a little uncomfortable with all of the sexual harassment (though humorous).

I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and so I read Ogami-san Can't Keep It In.

It is a slice of life manga in which we follow the days of a peculiar high school student that once in a while has perverted thoughts.

She doesn't really have any friends but she meets a boy who turns out that if you touch him you blurp out what you really think in that moment.

This duo makes for comedic scenes and enjoyable moments though I didn't feel any connection to them as characters and they didn't make me laugh out loud at all.

**ARC provided by NetGalley for honest review**

Ogami-san Can't Keep It In 1 by Yu Yoshidamaru was a hilarious and a bit racy take on one high school girl's fantasies and one high school boy's truth touch and them making friends with their classmates and each other. Honestly, despite some older teen content, this was a really heartfelt and realistic volume about teen's thoughts and what they actually want in that time of their life (not only what you might think). If you liked Lovesick Ellie, you'll probably like this too. Wasn't sure if I would like this one, but so far I liked it more than I expected and it seems worth continuing. Would recommend for ages teen and above.

"Ogami-san Can't Keep It In vol. 1" is about two adolescent loners who decide to become friends.

Ogami is obsessed with discovering the male body and how it functions. Yaginuma has a unique quirk where he cannot be touched without someone blurting out their true thoughts. Putting these two together you get a mix of cute, funny, and embarrassing moments. This manga touches on topics about how we feel about the opposite sex and our own sexuality.

This manga has a fresh perspective on friendship, romance, and attraction. The female protagonist, Ogami-san, is so funny and yet believable, with her own past to her. And it's not just her, but other characters and the situations they get into, are incredibly amusing to read.

What really stood out to me was that, even with such a raunchy premise, the story remains innocent and true to the fact that they are high-schoolers. If you're reading this as an adult (like me), you won't regret it.
