At first, the title kind of put me off, but hey if we don't try we never know, right? So, I'd try and I'm not disappointed at all. It's a quirky story about a female high school student that curious about things like male anatomy and keep having dirty fantasy, which is normal for both boys and female students. But, she feels like when people know what she's thinking people will start avoiding her because of that, she finds Yaginuma as a friend and shares her thoughts finally making friends.

It depicts the struggle of youth, where they need to learn and adapt to all the changes in their body, life, and how to make friends. Sometimes, I relate to Ogami because making a new friend is a hard thing to do especially for an introvert like me.

A fun way to explain the growth to adulthood through manga, I highly recommend this manga.

Thank you Kodansha Comics & NetGalley for this eARC

I'm dying with how fun Ogami-san Can't Keep It In Vol 1 was and how concerned I was with the description. Yes, even concerned was like, I'll try it. The art style is adorable!

This was a really cute manga celebrating the struggles of coming of age, sexual awakening, and feeling like you are different and the struggles of youth. I would say this may have weird fanservice and mystical gifts, so heads up if you don't think you can handle weird. It is weird. It does have a lot of red flags, including sexualizing other students/high schoolers and potentially bullying themselves to not be bullied by others.

I think this will end up being either a really great story or go into weird areas, but I think it might be one to give a shot if you like awkward Female leads and coming of age and slice of high school life.

This was a quick quirky story that about a female high school student who likes sexy and horny thoughts and a male lead, which can read peoples thoughts and feelings when they touch him, and it’s really cute because they’re being friends with neither one of us had friends before, and they get to know each other and it’s like a slow burn relationship because he’s heard so much about horny things that he’s become accustomed to it and she thinks that she’s strange because she thinks about it. I absolutely adore them. They are so cute so sweet and I would definitely carry on the series going forward it’s quirky it’s fun and it is adorable.

This was really weird but low-key good.

This follows ogami who is essentially just a hormonal teenager that is scared of being judged by her peers. She has no friends until she meets Yaginuma who essentially has a quirk that when he touches people it brings out their honest thoughts. Together they become friends and express their weirdness. We then meet two more characters that both have their own quirks as well and boom friendgroup.

This was weird but in a fun way. Definitely recommend for a quick light read.

Mots Clés: manga, lycée, romance, slice-of-life, surnaturel

I definitely enjoyed this manga. It's very funny and relatable. The characters are so different from each other and represents a variety of stories of our youth today who had their awkward and discovery phases.

I've only read the first volume but I am really intrigued and is looking forward to read the next volumes.

It was a light and funny read. There are parts that I totally relate too, like Ogami's struggle in being open with her interests and ending up alienating herself, afraid of judgment.

I love how she eventually found a small circle she can be herself with in the end.

So while I did have some issues with some moments in this manga, overall, I found the story so charming. Ogami is coming into her sexual awakening and is not acting the smartest about it. But who of us in high school was smart about exploring our sexuality? Very few. So watching Ogami stumble and be awkward, and weird, is very endearing and you root for her - even when she blurts out “show me your weiner” whenever she touches Yaginuma (who has a curse so that everyone who touches him says whatever they are thinking.)

The most off putting part is when a boy who blurts out about wanting a better view of his classmates' panties, is given a chance to start dating her when she overhears he has had a crush on her forever - no boy “earns” a girl’s affections. Ick. Also a “Sexy Cafe” is created for their class festival, but in the story, it’s used to propel Ogami’s artistic skill and not so much the sexualizing of the highschoolers.

That first scene aside, this manga, while pervy in one sense, is also pretty thoughtful and challenges various stereotypes while also letting highschoolers be weird while they explore who they are, fail, trip up, but eventually gain confidence again. And I am very curious about where the mangaka will decide to take this story.

I’m not sure what I was expecting when I got this book, but it was more than I anticipated. It’s cute, humorous, and shows just how awkward the transition from child to adult can be. I loved Ogami and the shenanigans that happen with her and her new friends. Making friends can be hard and sometimes we behave the way people expect us to instead of how we actually are. I loved this book and I am looking forward to reading more. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

High school hormones are no joke! This book does a nice job of encouraging its characters (and readers) to move past first appearances, showing with sensitivity that most people feel like outsiders and have worries/concerns/interests that may not be 'common'. A quick, easy read that encourages high schoolers to find common ground with one another.

(First of all, thank you NetGalley, for sending me this DRC in exchange for an honest review)

Synopsis: Ogami-san has been keeping a dirty little secret from her peers at school: Puberty has emptied her mind of everything but perverted fantasies! For the sake of leading an ordinary school life, she pulls out all the stops to keep her mental wild side under wraps. But when she literally reaches a hand out to Yaginuma-kun, a cute but mysterious boy in her class, her innermost thoughts just come spilling out! All she wants is to get to know him (and his body) better, but she can't do that without the risk of exposing her true self. What's a girl to do?!

This manga is so good for being the first volume. The drawings are so cute and I love the friendships they are creating. I want to keep reading about them and see where the story goes :) I truly recommend it.

------------------------------

This manga really has a lot of potential, starting from the particular obsessions of the female protagonist and the strange power of the male protagonist. This power is probably the only strange thing about the manga. It is not explained why he has it, nor if it is possible that other people have similar powers. It seems strange to me that only he has this peculiarity.
Apart from this, I really liked how Ogami's problem was addressed and how they became friends and honesty is the fulcrum of their bond. No judgments or bullying develops between them and from here a small group of people is born who will get to know each other more and more, facing the prejudices that others have about them simply by being themselves.
The drawings are normal, nothing exceptional, but not bad either. The protagonists are "normal" people from an aesthetic point of view.
However, Ogami's obsession really goes to excess. It's okay to be curious, but we're going a little overboard here!
However, I expect to see lots of fun scenes in subsequent issues!

Thanks Netgalley for letting me read the preview of this manga!

Thank you to NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for my arc in exchange for my unbiased opinion.

THIS WAS SO CUTE. The art was so visually pleasing and easy to follow and the story just feels so relatable? Getting a lil personal here, but as a young teen who had been exposed to the internet very early on and engaged in fanfic writing and reading through FF.net, Livejournal, Xanga, and a handful of message boards, I was definitely like Ogami and completely anxious about it. I found her so relatable and really found myself rooting for her.

This is such a silly, raunchy, and sweet story and I rarely keep up with ongoing manga series until their done, but this one has got me hooked!

I need to give this book more than 5 stars!
I loved this. It's so fun.

The characters are unusual which makes the story more interesting.
She is a strong character, who gives her best, and regardless of things, she never stops being herself.
He is a character who has something supernatural about him, which gives him even more charm, but which means he has to deal with a lot.
Despite everything, both decide to expand their lives, to change and improve.
The secondary characters are fantastic and super adorable, each with their own problems.

The drawings are beautiful with lots of expressions, and perfectly reflect the story.
I would read the book just to see the drawings, but it's a good thing there's a fantastic story to accompany them, because it makes the book superb.

A well-thought-out book, which knows when to make you laugh, but which also takes on a serious tone.

I really want to read the second volume now.

I read manga on occasion, and when this galley appeared in the upcoming releases I will admit I was intrigued. From the description, it appears to be a teen rom-com with a bit of a raunchy spin to it. Sounds a lot like the teen movies of the 80's from my youth.

This story (originally published in Japan in 2017 and now translated to English) goes right to the point of puberty, utilizing a teen female protagonist who is very focused on the opposite sex. Throw into that mix a brooding young man who has the odd ability to release the truth in those who touch him even in the slightest way, and we have all the ingredients for a very quirky teenaged sex comedy. This is hardly a new thing. I remember, while in high school myself, taking a date to the drive-in in 1982 to see Zapped! starring Scott Baio and Willie Aames. This manga, in a lot of ways, carries on that tradition.

Springing off this interesting concept, the story definitely takes a good turn into the challenges of being a teenager, fitting in, and navigating the world of dating when hormones have kicked in. The themes are universal and timeless which make this perfect for teens currently in that space and for adults who remember navigating these times themselves.

The artwork, as I have found with most manga, is very clean and crisp, easy to follow. That is important in the visual storytelling medium. The story is presented in episodic chapters that build upon one another. It was a very quick read. I'll definitely keep an eye out for future volumes.

Okay, so the premise of this manga is a bit weird. (Just a little bit)

Once I got passed that I quite enjoyed it and I will probably read the next volume to see how the series goes.

"Ogami-san can't keep it in, vol 1” by Yu Yoshidamaru was even better than I hoped!

This is a must-read if you liked reads like ”Ao-chan Can't Study” by Ren Kawahara
and ”Lovesick Ellie” by Fujimomo

Our heroine, Ogami-san, is very curious about the opposite gender, especially their bodies and body parts, and reads a lot of books on the subject. However, it's not really a hobby she feels she can share with other people. A bad prior experience has taught her this, and so she keeps to herself, reading her dirty books and wondering curious questions about dirty stuff to herself.
By coincidence, her paths cross with a boy in her class, Yaginuma, another loner, and she learns his deepest secret and why he prefers to be a loner too – he's cursed. When people touch him, they speak out their thoughts, no matter how embarrassing it is.

The story is a humorous tale about teenagers who worry about whether they are normal in every way you can imagine – their interests, their looks, their personality.
Our heroine has her brain in the gutter (and at the same time, I totally got her curiousness about boys and about the human body!) and combined with Yaginuma's curse you get a read that for sure will make you laugh and curl in embarrassment, but at the same time you also get a story with a twist that makes it cute and it has this sweetness I love in shojo mangas. 'insert hearteyes emoji.

I love (I don't know if ”despite” is the right word) but I love how ”despite” Ogami-san blurting out inappropriate things and questions it doesn't affect Ogami and Yaginuma's friendship. It does the opposite – it makes them closer, and watching them grow closer because they are open and true to each other, makes this a cute and wholesome read.

I can't wait for the next volume.

if want to read something new and, at the same time, raunchy, this is for you!

meiko ogama is a loner high school girl who is known by her classmates to be quiet and reserved. little did they know that she harbors lewd thoughts all the time, and the reason for her reserved personality is because she's ashamed of being found out to be a closeted enjoyer of her obscene fantasies. when she touched her aloof classmate, shinichiro yaginuma, her deepest, darkest thoughts came undone!

i can already see that this will receive divided opinions as to how weird it must have been towards other people. yet think of it this way: every adolescent goes through this phase, which, for sure, a lot of readers can relate to. in here, they just let it all out (though not really with consent; they didn't know that yaginuma has that kind of quirk). it was actually entertaining how unfazed yaginuma is whenever people who have touched him say their most vulgar thoughts (mostly ogami).

looking forward to reading the next volume!

thank you, netgalley for the arc!

I hate how much I loved this. High school raunchy comedy with a twist? Typically not something I would be super into at all but I went for it and I am a huge fan an will be continuing the series. Be aware that it's a lot of mind in the gutter humor and that's about it but something about it is adorable and endearing.

Ogami-San is used to not having any friends... since starting High School, she's always been aloof, preferring to read her smutty books in the library. It's not that she doesn't want friends, it's just that she has trouble making the first move. That is until a boy in her class, a loner like herself, offers her a towel one day. From then on Ogami-san and Yaginuma-kun become close friends! She soon learns about a secret he's been harboring- anytime someone touches him, their true thoughts come out! Ogami-san finds her inner most perverse thoughts come to light anytime Yaginuma-kun is around. However- that's the cost of friendship! The two find themselves falling deeper into friendship as the story goes on, and the two seem to find it easier to make their own friends along the way.

This first volume was hilariously good and addicting. I'm curious to see where Ogami-san and Yaginuma-kun's relationship goes! As we follow along their story, their individual personalities blossom with one another, and I'll definitely be reading the next volume. 5/5.
