Every Move You Make is a really tense thriller based on the authors past experiences with stalking.
Alex, Bridget, Lucy, Nat and River are all connected, they are connected by a WhatsApp group. They are all being stalked by various people. They are looking out for each other and keep in regular contact to make sure they are ok. Nat goes silent one evening coming back from work and the unthinkable happens. At her funeral the remaining four receive a wreath saying someone is going to die in the next ten days. River comes up with a plan to keep them safe but will it work?
This was a very tense read that I loved, I liked how you get to know the individual characters and who their stalkers are and why they are being stalked. The storyline is like nothing I’ve read before. I love this authors books but this although stressful to read is definitely my favourite. Everything about this book was perfect and I wouldn’t have changed a thing which for me is unusual but from the beginning to the end it flowed well and left no unanswered questions.
I would like to thank NetGalley and Avon Books UK forthis ARC I received in exchange for an honest review.

A stalker support group with 4 remaining members attends the funeral of the 5th member, who has just been murdered by their stalker. During that funeral, a wreath is delivered with a note that someone will die on a specific date in the near future, and the remaining members become hyper vigilant.
3.5 stars.
This book was a little better than ok for me. I was able to keep the main characters straight, but some of the supporting characters were muddled. There was a hostage situation at one point, which I groaned at because I really find hostage situations to be boring. But there were also bright spots where I was actually quite interested and wondering where this would go and what would happen to the 4 main characters. There was certainly a lot going on at the end and I did not figure out what was actually going on, but overall this was a mixed bag for me. I do enjoy this author's work and will definitely read her next novel.

Don’t read this alone in the dark! I had my heart in my mouth the whole time, feeling the creepiness of being stalked, as if it was happening to me. Every Move You Make is a heart stopping ride, full of increasing threat and menace and finishing with some great twists.
A group of victims of stalkers get together to help protect each other from their stalkers. It’s incredible how CL Taylor conjures up the fear, and in the Author’s Note she explains how she was once stalked by her ex. She certainly makes you feel the powerlessness and how being stalked can ruin your life.
I enjoyed the twists at the end, and how, linked by their experiences, this group of people will always be there for each other.

I always look forward to C L Taylor’s releases. Some have been 3*, some 4* this one is definitely a 5* read for me personally.
I had read through this authors ex stalkers experience online when she linked to it on Facebook.
Of course I clicked and was moved by what she had gone through.
We may say “not another stalker story” but this has power and umff because this lady knows just how it feels! And I’m sure others having had this done to them would relate.
I read this story outside the compass it was in “stalker” because this is made up of characters, fiction and of course for readers to take in. So using a WhatsApp group to empower the ones being stalked made me realise, there’s a message there……you are stronger than you think.
I thought it a genius way of allowing us readers more insight to each character within the WhatsApp group, the opening up of a whole can of worms from each persons thoughts and experiences, yet coming together as one unit. Everyone had something in common…..or did they.
The twists I thought were very well matched with the pace of the book and how far the author wanted to gradually keep us guessing.
I loved the start, the middle and the ending and now urging my daughter to read this.
She loves the sound of it and I gave earache each step of the way to my husband as I was enthusiastically reading it until he said “I’ve practically read this book”.
If you realise this isn’t “just another stalking” book and actually has emotional experience in it, I think maybe this will be an enjoyable book to read.
I’ve never been stalked, but I do feel empowered.

The intensity of Every Move You Make starts from the very first page. The author, CL Taylor, doesn’t waste any time, she instantly places the reader at the heart of the story.
We meet five friends, Natalie, Alex, River, Lucy and Bridget, who are linked by their horrendous misfortune. They are being stalked, and form the wonderful, rebelliously named FYST WhatsApp group. One of the group is murdered by their stalker, if that isn’t bad enough, the others are delivered a chilling warning while attending the funeral.
The chapters alternate between narrators, giving detailed insight into how each of their situations affects their daily lives. We see how the increasing stalking behaviour, leads to a deterioration of their mental and physical health. Their relationships bending and breaking under the huge, sustained pressure. The daily countdown at the start of each new day, increases the sense of menace running through the pages.
Certain passages of the book made my skin crawl, my heart went out to the characters, and to every person who lives in this fear each day. This book will resonate with anyone who has ever felt watched, made to feel uncomfortable by unwanted attention, had to modify their daily routines and behaviour to feel safer.
It feels wrong to say that I enjoyed this book, as this story is terrifying real for so many women, and men too. I found the book extremely gripping, compulsive reading. There is a constant tension running through the pages. It’s one of those books you think about, when you have to stop reading. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me.

Absolutely loved this book. I was gripped all the way through. The characters were great and the pace was good, it didn't drag the story out too much.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was fast paced and I soon got used to the different characters. It had lots of twists and turns which I hadn’t guessed and although a bit far fetched and coincidental at times, the tense plot kept me interested.

First off I will say I do love a good C.L Taylor Physcological Thriller and there is always a good plot and twisty storyline behind all her books, so I was really looking forward to reading this latest addition!.
'Every Move You Make' is based on a group of strangers being stalked but they come together to create a group to look out for each other and not get killed- basically.
The first problem I encountered with this storyline is I struggled to remember who was who with their names and I found everytime I left and came back to the storyline, I found it hard to pick up where I had left off.
I also felt it was drawn out a little with not a lot of suspense to keep me page turning, I kept putting the book down and coming back to it, (then had to work out who was who again)
And I found I just wasn't engrossed (for the first time ever with a C.L.Taylor storyline).
The storyline does however touch on an important subject and creates awareness. The author herself has had her own experience with being stalked and the note at the end of the book was very raw and emotional and let's you know where the storyline originated.
Was a slow burner for me and not one of the best, but still a good read and I give it 3 stars.

Natalie, Alex, River, Bridget and Lucy are part of a stalker support group, allowing them the support of others in the same situation. They use the group to check in with each other but one night a member of the group doesn't reply. She's been murdered by her stalker.
At the funeral the group received a threat that one of them will die in 10 days time. The fear each day consumes them as they try to figure out who's next.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, although I did guess a few of the twists ahead of time. There was a lot going on with trying to follow the lives of four different people, but it built a detailed story.
I rated it 4/5 because some of it was a little predictable.
I really appreciated the author's note at the end regarding her own experience with stalking and the statistics were eye opening to say the least.

A group of people with one thing in common... stalkers!
Starting off with Natalie, River, Alex, Lucy and Bridget who form a whatsapp group to check in on one another to make sure they get to their locations safely.
Unfortunately Natalie is killed by her stalker ex boyfriend, at her front door. At her funeral the group are scared when a wreath with "rest in peace" turns up, for a date in 10 days time. Could it be a mistake and they have the date wrong for Natalie's funeral, or could the wreath mean one of them is next?
A great thriller set in England, plenty of twists, including ones I didn't guess.
3 stars as I felt so much was going on that I was losing track occasionally, but we got there in the end and everything fell into place.
Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Yet another great read from this author. it centres on a group of people who come together to from a group online as they all had something in common, they were all being stalked. At first I did find it confusing to keep track on all the characters named as each person had their own storyline but the further I got into the book the easier it became. One of the members comes up with what he thought was a great idea at the time to help track and know the whereabouts of each others stalker. as a threat that one of them would die in a few days time had been left for them all to see.
A great story with many twists towards the end.

As always CL Taylor doesn't disappoint with her latest offering.
I'm always excited when a new Taylor is released and this one was really good. I thought it read slightly differently to her more recent books, perhaps more like her earlier ones - which I actually prefer.
Lot's of tension and twists here, very much recommended to anyone who wants a psychological thriller to get stuck into.

I really enjoyed the beginning, especially the first chapter. After that I had a hard time staying interested with the different characters. It was a very fast paced read, but the momentum didn't keep up for me.

In the shadow-laden narrative that C.L. Taylor unfurls within "Every Move You Make," I find myself both captivated and unnerved, a testament to the meticulous craft and psychological depth that Taylor is celebrated for. As I turn the pages, I'm drawn into a world so vividly real and darkly intricate that it sends shivers down my spine, a feeling both thrilling and unsettling in equal measure.
Taylor's brilliance in storytelling is unmistakable, ensnaring me in a plot that feels all too plausible, a reflection of the fine line between fiction and the chilling possibilities of reality. The realism etched into every page of this narrative is palpable, compelling me to glance over my shoulder, pondering the fragility of my own safety in a world that mirrors Taylor's haunting creation. It's this realism that I find most commendable, a skilful demonstration of how to craft a story that not only entertains but also profoundly resonates.
However, amidst my praises, I can't help but feel that Taylor might have tempered the raw intensity and potential of the story's darker themes. There was room, I believe, for a deeper dive into the grit and turmoil of its psychological underpinnings. This restraint, perhaps a bid to maintain broader appeal, leaves me yearning for a bit more boldness in the narrative, a longing for the story to push the envelope just that bit further to fully unleash its harrowing potential.
The afterword adds a deeply personal dimension to the novel, offering a glimpse into Taylor's own experiences that inspired the story. This revelation not only blurs the lines between author and narrative but also invites me to reflect on the precarity of our lives compared to the turmoil depicted in the novel. This aspect of the book profoundly affects me, enhancing my appreciation for the narrative while urging me to contemplate its broader societal implications.
The twist—crucial in any thriller—though cleverly executed, required me to pause and ponder its effectiveness post-finale. While it stands as a testament to Taylor's crafting prowess, it leaves me with a sense of dissatisfaction having to work out if it worked or not. I had a whisper of longing for a revelation that could have been more seamlessly integrated into the narrative's fabric.
In summary, "Every Move You Make" showcases C.L. Taylor's adeptness at weaving a tale that is both engrossing and disconcerting, masterfully blurring the boundaries between the imaginary and the tangible. While I critique the novel for its hesitance to delve into the depths of its darker possibilities, I acknowledge the skilful balance Taylor strikes between accessibility and depth. It's a compelling read, prompting introspection and discussion, albeit shadowed by a yearning for a touch more daring to match its otherwise impeccable craftsmanship.

It isn't often I don't enjoy reading a book not because its awful but because it was so creepy! It certainly kept you on the edge trying to work out who would die although that did seem to really drag on but once it came to the crux it was almost a relief that something actually happened!

This was my first book by C.L. Taylor. It was fast-paced and easy to read. However, I found the main "twist" very predictable, and the ending was a bit over the top. There was a lot of action in the last 25% of the book, and the whiplash of events became outlandish instead of suspenseful. If you are looking for a book that specifically follows a stalker trope, Every Move You Make is a great option. Otherwise, it's a middle-of-the-road thriller.

This was a very creepy thriller! A group of victims of stalking get together after bonding online. They try to support each other as they tell each other their own horrific stories. Poor Natalie is the first victim to be killed by her stalker. As the others gather to pay their respects, they are given a wreath with a date on it. The date of the next victim’s death. This story was a great and detailed one as the group of victims, all with their own fears tried to make sure they looked out for each other and made sure that they all stayed alive after the death date.
All the characters had such depth and their fight against their stalker became more frenzied as the death date came closer. I felt sorry for all of them. It really made me think about how I would react in a situation like that….
An amazing psychological thriller that will really make you sit up and take notice!!!

From the moment I cracked open this thriller, I was sucked into a whirlwind of suspense and terror. The way it tackled the nightmare of being stalked hit close to home, sending shivers down my spine as I imagined myself in the victims' shoes. The constant fear of death looming over them was like a weight pressing down on my chest, making it hard to breathe.
As the story unfolded, I found myself grappling with the same questions of trust as the characters. Who could they rely on in their darkest hour? The bond between the group of protectors and the victims was a ray of hope in the darkness, but it was also fraught with tension and uncertainty. Every twist and turn kept me guessing, never knowing who was friend or foe.
But it was the ending that truly left me speechless. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, the author pulled the rug out from under me with a twist I never saw coming. It was like being hit by a freight train of emotions, leaving me reeling and desperate for more.
This book isn't just a gripping read—it's an experience. A rollercoaster of emotions that had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. If you're looking for a thriller that will keep you guessing until the very end, look no further. This one is a must-read.

I’d like to thank Avon Books UK and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘Every Move You Make’ written by C L Taylor in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
There are five members of a stalking support group, Alex, Lucy, River, Bridget and Natalie, that’s until Natalie is stabbed to death by her stalker, then there are only four! As the four walk away from the church, a funeral wreath is handed to them with a card bearing the stark message “Rest in Peace. 20th October” but it’s only the 10th October so whose life will end on the 20th?
‘Every Move You Make’ is a thought-provoking novel about stalkers, male and female, whose actions are so vicious that they impact on every part of their victim’s lives until they’re too scared to function properly. As the novel counts down from ten days to the day they believe someone is going to die, we learn more about each of the four victims and their stalkers. This is an intense and involving thriller that’s opened my eyes to stalkers and the way they operate and although difficult to read at times I couldn’t stop reading. From the author’s note at the end, it’s clear that she’s been the victim of a stalker herself and has put her experience into writing this novel, so I’m doubly grateful that I’ve been allowed to read it in advance of being published.

I really enjoy C.L Taylor books but this one just wasn’t for me. It started out well but I soon found myself skimming through a lot of the content. It just became so far fetched, especially the ending (when Bridget walks out and Marcus walks in). This one wasn’t for me. I won’t review this on other social media forms.
