I think these characters and the story so far is so cute.
A boy that can't act normal around girls and a girl that does
the same around boys. The girl falls in love with the boy but has
problems actually telling him how she feels. I have volume 4 on
hold now and will be reading it soon!

In this third volume, Suiren and Kawasumi continue to slowly circle one another with the additional pressure of a rival who is much more outspoken than Suiren.

This is a leisurely tale of attraction. It's filled with longing looks and not much action.

SUUUUUUUUPER SLOOOOOOOOOW romance alert. Like, molasses going uphill in the dead of winter slow.

Which, considering how shy both love interests are, is realistic. It just doesn't make for really exciting or enthralling reading, at least not for me. I was never that shy, so I can't really relate to it, though others may appreciate it. Usually in shojo, one of the couple is shy and the other is extremely out-going, so this is something different at least.

This is one I will continue with, but if nothing much happens in the next volume, I may not continue. Just my personal preference. There is nothing wrong with the characters or plot, it's just the timing is a bit off for me.

3, not rocking my socks but not bad, stars.

My thanks to NetGalley and VIZ Media LLC for an eARC copy of this book to read and review.

Thanks NetGalley and Viz Media for this arc!

3.5/5 stars

This slow paced romance is cute but I'm not too sure it's for me. I like it, but after I read it I immediately forgot everything that happened 😅 I think this might just be more suited for a much younger audience than me

Like a Butterfly, vol3, picks up right where we left our characters. Suiren is still lovable but quiet, Kawasumi is still strong-headed but shy. Will they make any progress towards each other in this volume? Read and find out!

The art is still beautiful and the plot is light so far. There’s a good amount of focus on side characters in this volume so it’s nice to broaden our horizon of the world and others’ thoughts.

Remember, this is a slow burn. A slooooooooooooow slow burn. Don’t expect too much to happen just yet. That said, I'm always looking forward to the next volume.

This was another super sweet volume of this manga. In this one we see Suiren cheering for Kawasumi as he competes in a karate tournament.
If you are not into slow-burn romances then this series is not for you, but for those of us who are fans, it's the best! I love watching these two characters dance around each other as they go back and forth. The will-they won't-they of the series is really cute to watch. I can't wait to see where the story goes in the next one!

Another solid volume! Thanks NetGalley and Viz Media for the ARC!

It’s volume three and things are happening! This story is such a pure slow burn, but I really enjoy the characters and their interactions. I was a bit frustrated at the avoidance chapters in the first half, but I’m proud of our girl Suiren for stepping up and initiating contact. They’re both so awkward and timid, it’ll be the death of me.

Can’t wait to read volume 4.

This volume continues at a slow, gentle pace, but things are starting to happen! Confessions, and realizations abound as our quiet pair edge just a little bit closer together. While the story is still pretty basic, the art and breezy tone make this a nice read.
