Ever pick a book because the cover looks interesting only to realize it’s not what you thought it was at all? I’m not a big one on self help and psychology so this may be both fascinating and helpful to many people but the cover had me thinking it was a shark book, and love sharks. So I requested it and read very little of it because I found the cover image very misleading. Also the title is a bit offensive if you really love sharks and think of them as a beautiful and crucial natural predator as in this case they are being used as a metaphor for narcissistic and toxic people who can mentally destroy and individual. If you are being manipulated or trapped in some sort of psychological nightmare with a narcissist this book will very likely be of great use to you. I hope it finds the right people and is made available to them.

Having reads dozens of books about narcissism and narcissistic abuse I have to say this is one of my favorites. The author uses simple language and metaphors easily understood for the novice reader. There’s no mention of Object Relations Theory or any other psychological concepts that can confuse the first-time reader on the subject. Highly recommended!
