The concept of this book was an intriguing one and I started enjoying it when it picked up. It definitely had some interesting ideas. But overall, it was just okay. But don't let this dissuade you! Some of the aspects I disliked (like the random sexual violence - yeah it becomes a part of the plot but I still hate it) won't bother other readers so I still say pick it up if it sounds good to you!

I love a book that introduces the world naturally but I do think the start could maybe have used a but more direct worldbuilding to set the stage a little more firmly. I was a little confused about some aspects, but they did largely get cleared up.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. As always, all opinions are my own.

I enjoyed this book. It’s funny how it was able to stick with me. I started reading this book Back in Oct, got away from reading for quite some time yet I still had this book with me when I picked it back up to finish it.

M. Lachi does a fantastic job in writing a utopian horror novel, it had everything that I was looking for in this scifi-thiller. It was engaging and had a lot of great characters within the pages. I never wondered why I was reading this, it was so well done.

This sci-fi mystery thriller based in future New York had a fascinating storyline and was well written. It really grabbed me from the start and i definitely enjoyed the mystery play out.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. I loved the world that Lachi created. This is what I imagine the future will be like if we keep creating new technology especially when it comes to advancing the VR experience. I also loved the idea that the characters could choose virtual or to fully immerse themselves into their devices. Also found the means for gaining currency in this world to be super interesting. Only criticism is that the book was very confusing in the beginning but after a while I got used to the writing and world development. Cannot wait to read the next book already!

In a Utopian twenty-third-century New York City, where corporations have replaced governments, AI dictates culture, and citizens are free to people-watch any other citizen they choose through an app, this horror-laden Sci-Fi Thriller follows four mis-matched coeds as they attempt to solve the murder of an eccentric parascientist.

I'm not a huge sci-fi fan, so I didn't enjoy this as much as some might. But it was good. The world-building was well-done and the characters were interesting.

Outstanding read!

Death Tango is a sci-fi murder mystery set in 24th century New York where technology rules the world. The world building was fantastic and Lachi made sure to bring real world situations into the book in a way that makes it inclusive (LGBTQIA+) and makes the characters even more relatable.

Lachi does an excellent job of making sure the story does not become predictable and constantly keeps you on the edge of your seat. There were so many moments in the book that made me excited to get to the end just so I would finally get to know what really happened to Dr. Ferguson, while at the same time not wanting the book to end at all. It was so easy to get sucked into the world of Death Tango and feel a connection with the characters and their personal lives/battles.

This was such an amazing read and I highly recommend it!
